Why does everyone say "ninjas are quicker"... i think with the level of training the end result would be similar speed overall, but with a later samurai (they originally used bows) sheer training with the katana they'd be more likely to beat the ninja in the type of combat shown in the video.
Also people need to remember that people adapt lol, if samurai's equipment hindered them, they are quite capable to change ;) And vice versa.
but u also have to remember that the ninja in AoE 3 specializes in killing mercinary based units. the samari does kick ass out of any other non-ranged infantry unit

The Samurai didn't look fully upgraded. An exalted (Final upgrade) Samurai has the helmet and another feature that make it unique to the other three versions.
ninja are very strong against mercenaries, once i made a ninja fight with a ronin samurai (mercenary) and ninja killed him with 2 or 3 slashes XD, but unfortunately they are weak against normal units.

If you see.. It's hitpoints didn't changed.. This guy maybe inserted the code " Invulnerable flag or
DoNotDieAtZeroHitpoints in the unit nodes..

I did this 1v1 fight as per request of a friend. That is how the fight turned out.
Nothing was altered about them and they are both the standard un-upgraded unit.

The ninja's team color is black and so his health bar is black. It doesn't look like he is loosing health but he is.

ninja are very strong against mercenaries, once i made a ninja fight with a ronin samurai (mercenary) and ninja killed him with 2 or 3 slashes XD, but unfortunately they are weak against normal units.

I feel that u should make the ninja be a blue team unit so that the health bar would be seen

the samurai tried to hit so many times...all evaded by ninja? because ninja has lower hp as I remember
