  • The check engine light should only come on if you have put this device in front of the O2 sensor. If it is after the sensor you should have no problems at all and notice power increase

  • i didnt even watch the video but looks like you busted open that front door ROFL

  • Even if this video its choppy and loud, the important thing it's that somebody bothered with posting on YouTube as a means of beign informative.

Not even on VW Vortex can you get the "feeling", the pros and cons of a cutout.

    For that alone, thanks man!

I too feel that for a 1.8 T this is the way to go along with an aggressive chip tuning ;-)

  • you said it turns check engine light on when opened? or all the time?? and is there anywhere else you can wire the power other than stereo? thanks!

  • I'm sorry, but if you honestly can't think about this and come to an answer to those questions yourself then you might want to have somebody else work on your car.

  • dood it was just an honest question and you didn't have to be an inconsiderate fuck about it. thanks again.

  • Actually I was being very considerate. I want your car to have a long, happy life. I'm sorry you took my advice as an insult.

  • im with you. he should not touch his car except to drive it.

  • Im thinking about down this to my gti, how much did it cost? and will it make my engine check light go on?

  • $20 and yes

  • i have a 42dd 3in catless downpipe to a 3inch non resonated catback. can i still put an exhaust cutout with the cat back still attached b/c my exhaust is effin loud im sure not at all close to a no exhaust car.

  • The exhaust system you have is probably giving you the most power already. If you really wanted, you could put a cut out at any point that makes sense before the muffler. That would at least make it very loud.

  • of course its gains performance. hes lost the cat and the exhaust. best exhaust for a turbo is no exhaust at all. a turbo creates all the back pressure it needs

  • an exhaust cut-oot?

  • i got this shit on my tl-s , if u do it right and facing a right way, it gains u alil bit horses.

  • so dont u lose back pressure? i dont see how it would perform that well at all? help me out

  • Yeah in the description I say how the way the exhaust flows out the cutout how I've made it there is probably no performance increase. I'm sure if this was engineered better you could see some results.

  • on a naturally aspirated car you need back pressure to keep power/torque on a wider rev range. with this car you have a turbo. that turbo is the most restrictive element after the exhaust leaves the cylinder. it creates all the back pressure you need. the cut out is obviously after the turbo. so in theory, you want the least restrictions after the turbo and that is where the idea of the cut out comes from. but the owner is right that the angle isn't right for any gains.

  • thnks dude. helped me alot there

  • i just order this from the ebay yesterday.

    hrmmm.

think about it my car is quite low eventhough its still with its stock suspension

my car is 2.o litre base on NA engine

im planning to do 3 inch but im still not sure about it.

    need help.
