@WrightSharpe A protostar is a very early stage of a star.Basically when the Nebula is pulled towards the centre, the gas and dust is compressed by the gravity to create a star. However, before this star is made,a PROTOSTAR is formed. This is basically a star, but it has not fully formed into one yet. This is because not all of the dust and gasses have been pulled in and created into energy, so the Protostar does not glow. You are talking about a Neutron:This is its last stage before a black hole
@hubbabubbly Oh, sorry, to think about now i think ur acctully right, O_o whoops, also i did acctully know what a neutron star was, whoops, i think this was cause i probaly had a headache when i wrote this, lol
I had one of these near my Home Planet, checked it out right after I got to Space stage, went did some missions, logged off for a while, came back on, there was a green flash and a new system in its place....
A Proto-star is a star that once was living, the star eventually goes supernova, causing all the planets to burn up along with the star. Then, after tens of thousands of years, a new star is born, and almost reversing the process of total supernova.
@ZetaProductionz Ahem! it takes millions of years not thousands years and it's is just not a supernova there now are getting reborn but a new star there had been born by another stars death.
@ZetaProductionz in spore does the Proto-Star/Early Star Actually Develop into Star systems or do they just stay the same old Proto-Star/Early Star because Every so often its a Thousand years or a million years...
Just get to the Space Stage in the regular Spore game. Not the Creature Creator, Origins or any of the other Spore games other than just plain (epic) Spore.
a quasar and a proto star are the same thing. They gather heat and bind it together to create a star. in real it takes about 2 million years. in spore, it never happens.
@SharkAssassin binary solar systems are actually kinda common...and on one of my saves, there are dozens of proto stars and binary systems near my home
It is amazing to see this type of simulation Spore, it's been a while since I have the game but the more I realize the issues involving the discovery space, the more I like the game.
The video is good but could be better if the sound was not cut.
You should have extended the video to match the sound. But because of the choice of music this is now one of my favorite videos.
to the assholes who thumbed down my comment, i know this (protostar in the video) is not the center of the galaxy. I was responding to someones comment
Same here. I came back later and it was a brand new system with both purple and pink spice... and was inhabited by the largest warrior empire in my neighborhood.
They actually do turn into new solar systems, I tracked one that was close to one of my colonies: the old star disappeared and was replaced with the proto-star, then in became a new solar system, with completly different planets. I put a monolith on it's t2 world for good measure.
The is scientifically a baby star. I don't know if it'll change in the game, but it would eventually become a sun and those rocks flowing around it would become planets and moons. You can tell they really opened an Astronomy book when they made this game.
I only encountered a Protostar once in game, sadly i could only watch for a few moments due to my system getting attack by pirates. Never saw it again...
But I think this game would be so much better if they allowed you to build more than one ship, so that you can keep one in your empire and shift between them while you go exploring/conquering.
i once found a solar system (controlled by grox) which had 2 suns. they were eclipsing each other on a endless dance on the middle of that system. freaking grox.
that is called a binary star system. when 1 of the suns in the star system oribits around it's partner. now this is a real life fact. they really do exist.
Do they just stay like that throughout your whole game, or do they actually form into a star? It would be cool if planets could be created and destroyed by natural means in spore : 'D
no no i know what they are i mean what are they for in spore? can u in interact with it in some way? ................also please don't call me "foo"...............
when you delete a file in your game, not only the planet blows up, the hole star sistem explodes, then this proto planetary discs transforms in solar systems, and when solar systems form, more protoplanetary discs are formed...
So you mean when a new planet is created...... a new system is created? That means you can really never run out of planets to explore! Just like the real universe......the spore universe is ever expanding!
The game says its a supernova. And in no circumstances will it be safe to approach one. But most supernovas last a few years and dont spin around like a quasar. Protostars are a beautiful thing.... And so are large explosions in space...
Also have the slightly hazardous habit of sending out gamma ray-flashes of incredible energy, nothing you could fly close to. Not even in the 'babys first spaceship simulator' stage of spore.
Wow, Wow, FatherG, if a solar system was a person, you would be seeing the birth of a baby that will take millions of years to be born ... if this was real life, not a game = D. .. But That video is on there
