  • how do you get more sounds? because on the website people have made songs with sounds ive never heard before in ezemuze such as the choir and remix sounds!

  • @cartoontom9 There haven't been any additional sounds added to this version of ezmuze, so everyone is using the same sounds you are. If you message me a link to one of the songs in question though, I'll check it out. :)

  • i just checked this out over at a friends house, about to grab it off of XBLA and start making songs. seems like it is definately worth thr price, and i would be willing so come out of pocket for some more sounds...any DLC to look forward to?

  • @thaninjuggalo Not in this version. We're working on a new version though that's expandable, this version simply wasn't coded to do so. What is in store for this version though in an update that's currently going through peer review is mp3 uploading and online song sharing among a lot of visual and usability changes.

  • @KOOLANCE720 Yup! hamsteralliance. I'm rarely on the 360 though and right now it's inside a box since I'm moving this week. :)

  • Hey Hamst3r, did you guys fix the glitch for the 2 slice groups that don't get unlocked with the super code?

Also, I've had to use the super code 4 times now. Sometimes when I turn on the Xbox, and after the new console update, the slice groups i've unlocked get removed and instead of editing my songs over to unlock i have to hunt down the super code.

Also i remember u guys said u were working on a update to fix the glitch and to send songs to a website online. How's that looking?

  • @jimmyboy2021 Yup, that's all stuff currently being worked on. We had to start over on some of it because it was coded all wrong. basically tear ezmuze down to it's basic code and fix it before putting all the pieces back in. That's why it's taken so long. Anyways, it's all fixed up now - so hopefully we can get the update out in the next few months.

  • @hamsteralliance great! thanks a lot I appreciate the detailed response!!

  • 2000!! I think I done and crapped myself. well I can't wait, and I take it DnB is drum and bass? (2 of my favorite slections to use EZ Muze Hamster Ed.)

  • how do we unlock the locked loops?

  • go to the options menu and open the Enter Code thing. The unlock all code is NINJADEATHSQUADFROMMYANUS.

Also, the upcoming patch for ezmuze will be removing the need to do this as the unlock system is being removed. :)

  • AWESOME THANKS!! for that code i mean lol

  • Wow, for this being a community game it's REALLY good! Great work! I've been intrested in loops and track making but I've always found it difficult, but this version, just having the loops is great! Are you able to change the frequency of the sound for different notes? Or do you just have the loops that are already existant? Just curious.

Anyway I would definatly say this is Arcade worthy, The demo song is really good and welcoming. I look forward to any further advancement in your games!

  • Thanks! In this version there is no way to modify individual notes or pitches. That's something we're working on for the Pro version. :)

  • Oh I see, well good luck with that! I was just wondering but are you aiming for an arcade hit? Or are you staying in the area of Community games for now?

I'll admit, I've not yet purchased a community game as most of them don't seem to have much replay value or have the player wanting to come back for. Well, aside from Biology Battle (which I haven't bought.) But this game is different, so once I manage to purchase some more points I'll be buying Marvel vs Capcom 2 and then this game!

  • We want to get the Pro edition on Arcade so we can do all the cool stuff we have planned.

  • Cool! Well I wish you all the best! Do you know if it'll be a 2009 or 2010 release? It's just really good to have a innovative music game on the market. I've been using Korg DS-10 for the mean time and to be honest, it's quite limited in it's options. Only 2 synths and 1 drum line can play at a time and the synths can't use chords. Just singular notes.

  • I'm thinking 2010. We're putting out another CG version called Drum and Bass edition first.

And damn, about DS-10. haha. I haven't used it, but that doesn't sound like much. if you have an iPhone or iPod touch, check out "Bleep box". It's not out yet, but it's by a friend of mine and it's pretty involved. 16 channels of synthesis and all kinds of crazy business going on. There's a video about it here on Youtube.

  • Really? Wow, the DS beaten by an iPhone/iPod xD I'll be sure to check it out.

As for the next release before ezmuze pro. I'd probably ksip that as it's not my genre though I was just wondering... I know that in the Hamst3r Edition you have got video based tutorials, but what I was suggesting, is maybe for the pro edition was to make an interactive tutorial. On the PS2 there was this game called MTV Music Generator 2. It had a tutorial that helped as it was interactive. But it was in the booklet

  • so I was suggesting that a tutorial for like say, a 30 sec beat would possibly be good. Video tutorials help alot but giudelines in real time for say, your first time playing (or for future reminder have an option to og to the tutorial. maybe even have it as an already saved beat so that they can adapt to it.

It's just a thought. Though I was wondering what your opinion on this is?

Anywho keep up the great work! I think I'll be buying this today (I got points).

Time to make some beats!!! n_n

  • Yeah, interactive tutorials is the kind of stuff we want to do. :D

It all came down to: we could still be working on Hamst3r Edition right now, implementing all this stuff and trying to convince Microsoft to make it an Arcade title, without knowing if people would even want this sort of thing...or put it out as a CG, get feedback and go crazy in the next version. :D

MS just lowered the top CG price to 400 points too, so if we waited and didn't get on Arcade, we'd be X_x.

  • Yay! Great minds think alike =D

O_o Your game is worth 800 in the UK last time I remember at least. They better not be making a cheap profit off your game... that would be a out of order.

So are you trying to do what Microsoft have already done with Biology Battle? It won a competition and there is the same game with a different name but better graphics and features. By what you've displayed, you've got what it takes to go for an arcade title. Microsoft can be asonatric morons at times =/

  • How do you unlock all of the hidden loops? anyone? link for guide please.

  • the code is: NINJADEATHSQUADFROMMYANUS

Also, locked packs will be removed with the update coming out soon.

  • Ive been waiting for a program like this since Music Generator for the PS2!!! I am now a follower of The Hamst3r Alliance! Thanks James d(^_-)

  • :D Woo!

Stick with us - we're working on another plus edition and a bigger, "pro" version after that. :D

  • how much is it gonna be worth??

and could it be played with out xbox live. stupid maintenance

  • We'd like to have ezmuze pro be an XBLA release. As such, it will be able to be played offline.

As for what it will be worth, it'll be INSANE compared to the current version of ezmuze. It will be a full studio app with everything. It will be inexpensive though cause we'll also be selling DLC sample packs for various genres and styles. :)

  • I just found this last night, INSANE!!!! How come i didnt know about this the DAY it came out? CREATE SOME BUZZ TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS THIS PROGGIE IS SICK, a person with no prior music making knowhow could spend a half hour in the tutorial and be making their own music shortly after that. SO GOOD! Thanks to everyone involved in making EZMUZE+ you rock.

  • THIS SHIT ROCKS!!! i been telling all my friends, dude mad ninja skills or however. you are a god! seriosuly this is some good stuff

  • Quick question, am I able to transfer any songs I create to something like my computer? For instance, does the whole "Send Song" thing only allow me to send my songs to my friends over Xbox Live? Or am I able to send the song to something like my email address, or even my 360's hard drive to listen to outside from playing the game?

  • Currently the only way to get the music into MP3 form is to record the audio via line out. You can use an RCA to 1/8" adapter to plug the 360 into your PC. Works good. :)

  • Can you give a step by step on this??? because I would REALLY love to use this to create sound bits for my production class...

  • Hey. :)

    1. Buy the adapter cable and connect the 360 audio cable to one end of the adapter and the other end to your PC via the Line In or Aux plug.

If you plug into the Mic plug the sound will be distorted.

    2. Get some kind of recording software and have it set to record via Line In.

    3. Hit record in the software and hit play on ezmuze.

There's not much more detail I could go into without talking about specific programs. I don't have a mac but this should work on one.

  • can anyone tell me how to unlock some of the locked loops?!? please?!?!?

  • There are some simple unlocks you can get by just using ezmuze: Sharing a song, receiving a song, saving a song and other such simple things will unlock more loops. :)

There will also be a code posted on the ezmuze site every Monday. You can enter this with the Enter Code screen on the Options Menu. :)

We've released two codes so far: WOOFWOOF and PUBFIGHT.

  • ive been lokking for a music creation game like this for almost a year now and i found it!! ive been hooked on these games since frequency come out on the PS2, anybody remeber that one??? But yes i bought this yesterday and its a blast, especially coming out of two sub-woofers :D good job hamster alliance!!!

  • Ive got both of the EZmuse products and all im gonna say is that they are awesome!

(mind if i slap some of the stuff ive done on here as vid responses?)

  • I'd prefer to favorite them from the bestofezmuze channel! If you think they're really good too, i can make a nice HD video and direct audio recording of them and host them there and on the ezmuze site.

I like to keep my vids free of response videos. :)

  • well worth the money =)

    this is crazy awesome!

  • i bought this game, it's wicked

  • Thanks! Help us promote ezmuze+. :D

  • yeah me too, I love it :P

  • Already got it and it works great. there is so much flexibility its awesome

  • ....and yes, the music in the trailer is an in-game creation =)

  • It's out now! Get it on the XBOX Live Marketplace under Community Games.

  • The music in the video was put together in ezmuze, so it will be possible to recreate it. :)

Also, ezmuze+ is now in peer review and should be out any day now! :D

  • this looks great!

  • Interface looks great. The music in the vid...was it generated from EZMuse?

  • Does it coasts MS Points or is it Free ?:D

    OH and nice work Hamst3r.

  • It will cost 800 MS points. :)
