i always used dart rose and kongol. rose was fast and had alot of attack power, but had low life, which kongol made up for, kongol was slow but rose can attack 2 times before he could. i really didnt use albert because i found that he lost life too fast for me. yes meru is fast, but overall shes kinda weak, miranda/shana was useful for healing, but couldn't really hold their own. Haschel, he was okay, but i didnt use him much either.

reason people use Rose is because shes OP when you get her and trought the whole CD1 than lack and become the strongest character when she get ur dragoon buster killing Zieg but she can only use it on Melbu Framah lol xD i mean its the only boss left

Kongol doesn't get enough respect. With a Bandit's Ring and Magical Greaves, his speed is better than Dart's. With a Legend Casque on, he has the best stats of any character! 4000+ health, 250+ attack and defense, 200+magic resist. He's so epic yet nobody ever seems to mention him in walkthroughs, etc.

But yeah everyone mentions lavitz most of the time. they also disrespect shana who in the end makes for an awesome healer. I digress when you can't use her on the last boss though. sense she is like part of him lol.

The first time I faced Melbu Frahma, I used Dart, Rose and Miranda because I wasn't very high-level and needed healing. After that, I leveled up as high as I could before the fight, so I replaced Miranda with Meru. Best team in the game if you don't need healed that much.

Same here I remember though when I was a Little kid I level all my member to lvl 55 to see how easy it was to beat melbu. I had all the dragoon powers and man that shit was awesome. LOD is the best rpg ever. It's a shame 2 won't be released

As far as storyline goes, you can't beat disk one. There are less characters there at that point, but they feel all the more important for it.  You really can't compare anyone else's introduction with lavitz's badass breaking out of Helena prison on his own then helping you break out Shana too.

Honestly, I can't decide between CD1 and CD2. Both had their up's and downs. Some of the game's dialouge was a bit cliche but this is by far the best game I have ever played. Now I have a question for anyone else viewing this. Who would you rather date? Rose, Meru, Miranda or Shana? Personaly, I would date Shana. She is the only one who doesnt act cold (Rose) or plain wacky (Meru).

you can buy the game in ebay the german version costs 40-70 € and the american/english version 30 - 50 € but all is used ( second hand ) and you can write in google Legend of Dragoon there come results too.
