  • I like your vids, and am subscribed, but I always feel pain when I see one of these old beauties abused...

  • @NRGearz

I understand that man. But you have to keep in mind: most of the old garden tractors in the world, go to a scrap yard, and are crushed, torn apart and melted down. We're just giving them a second lease on life. one for fun.

  • you guys are fucking krazy as hell, just my type of people

  • @donkballs1

    hahah, thanks man :)

  • @chernobyl916

It could be. Normally hydro's don't roll well unless they are moving themselves. Bolens I think use an axle pin to disconnect the one hub for rolling, then the spider gears just spin, in stead of turning the input shaft.

  • where could i find one of these babys? i wanna go through some think fields with em

  • @Crossoffire13

:) Nice man. The best place to find them is in peoples yards. Keep an eye out when you drive around. always look in peoples yards for a little bit of red in the shape of a tractor :) Could be a wheel horse. If not, it could be something else cool, and they might want to just get rid of it, or sell it cheap. :) Find alot of stuff by just asking people.

  • WOW YOU HAVE A WICKED PROPERTY! ;)

  • @craicrazy

Thanks man! Yeah, we're really lucky

  • Yeah, this brings to mind the phrase "Hold my beer and watch this !

  • sweet tractor man.

  • @jewsychicken

    Thanks!

  • dickhead how old is that pig? hit me bach bitch

  • @4inches4u

    Its a 2012 and a half

  • @tommartyn Coolie:)

  • lol nothing like getting drunk and riding the mower around

  • HEY MAN WHAT MODAL WHEEL HORSE IS THIS ONE, AND HOW DID YOU GET IT GO SO FAST!! PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON THE PRO AND CONS

  • @tazzees

YO! :) i'll send you a video where i'm talking about how i made it fast. The cons were the way i had the belt running, it fell off the pulleys alot, and also the 5 hp engine i put on it, didn't deal well with the high speeds. Didn't have enough power.

  • what sizes are they pullies?

  • Man, that thing is fast! That was funny seeing the tractor just go off on its own - you could do tractor bowling with some 55 gallon drums or something!

  • @eatyerbeans

Awesome man, thanks for the suggestion. I might make that happen :)

  • I have just as much country in me as in you guys, screw all of those queers that are making jokes and putting bad comments. By the way, where do you live man? I'm in Tennessee.

  • @baaambam4ever

haha :) thanks man. we're up in eastern PA. where in tennessee? I was down in Kingsport a few times. there was alot of awesome tractors, trucks, and cars down there i wanted to get my hands on :) If only i had some money. You guys are lucky man, no inspection :) Theres alot of stuff i'd be driving on the road if it was like that here.

  • @tommartyn I'm in Gallatin, about 5 miles from the country side, but we live far enough into town that we can't shoot guns and have a good time,I still like to play around with mowers and go-carts though.

  • at 0:46 I lmao so hard xD looks like so much fun!

  • @baaambam4ever

Thanks man! yeah, it really is alot of fun man. especially when you have alot of people riding at once.

  • looks fun but it's too slow I got a 1970 wizard that does 40 mph

  • @matacoos

    Gotcha

  • are you using the governer on the engine? looks like fun! hows the tranny holding up?

  • @madmowerz

Yep, i always keep the governors on these engines, that way if a load gets put on the engine, it gives it extra throttle to keep the RPMS up where you have the throttle pulled to. i think i had it set up where the throttle had a stronger spring going to the governor though, so it was reving it a little higher then stock. The trans held up great. wheelhorse trans's are some tough bastards. as long as you don't grind them alot, they'll last forever. Not like peerless junk

  • looks like your havin a blast

  • @borboleta1015

Thanks alot! Yeah, we're always trying :)

  • ghostrider at 2:42

  • who needs a 4 wheeler? looks like fun lol

  • @blueovalfan23

Thanks man! yeah, it is fun, and this isn't half of what we get into with these beasts.

  • the other nascar....

  • evry wheel horse u hav my grandad has one of to idk if i could do that to his tho hahaha but it is nice to see a few still out ther movein under ther own power keep em man ther getin hard to find and is that a bigger motor or what did u do to get it to run that fast?

  • @68chev4x4

haha, yeah, your grandad probably wouldn't appreciate that.

there are tons of wheelhorses out there man. And i'm sure there always will be :) people love these machines.

A bigger engine won't make it go faster, you have to put a bigger pulley on the engine, or a smaller pulley on the trans, or both, to make it go faster. This came with an 8HP kohler, and it blew up, so the engine in the video is a 5HP honda, off of a pressure washer. :) Over Head Cam, that thing can rev high! :)

  • @68chev4x4 You switch the pullys around there is one on the trans mission and u buy a smaller pully for the transmission and put a bigger one on the motor i did it to my wheel horse but lost 3rd get Ha ha

  • they just dont make stuff like they used too

  • @spacechimp420

    Not even a little. :)

  • i have a '76case 220 and she can do about 25 mph

  • @adt121494

Nice! thats probably a pretty stable tractor at higher speeds. this thing as a death trap

  • @tommartyn o hell yeah i need the take the deck off and get about 5 more miles per hour. they made good tractors back then. for a stock mower like the case, it sure is fast.

  • @adt121494

I don't know if taking the deck off will give you more speed. Tractors normally top out due to gearing, and RPM limitations, not due to weight. This thing probably did 5.5MPH stock, and you could load on as much weight as you wanted, or take off as much as you wanted, and it would go the same speed.

Those case's are really awesome tractors man. What size kohler is in it? is it hydro or gear drive?

  • @tommartyn it has a 10 horse and is hydro. i think for a stock 10 that thing is pretty fast

  • @tommartyn o hell yeah i need the take the deck off and get about 5 more miles per hour. they made good tractors back then. for a stock mower like the case, it sure is fast.

  • i have a '76case 220 and she can do about 25 mph

  • Crazy rednecks

  • @Cr250FULTROTTLE :Yeah, but just like ME---you'd LOVE to get in there with 'em, wouldn't ya???☺!

  • @bruno640 yeah thats true it is fun as hell :P

  • Take it apart and sand it down then prime it and then spray it flat black and put flames on it and then put a clear coat. it would look nice

  • @FlickTricksOffical

That would look pretty vicious man :)

  • @tommartyn did the 6.5 bolt right up

  • Duse that alsome. i have a friend who for the 4th of July put a moped engine in his 1960s wheel horse..... it does something like 30 miles an hour...... very scary

  • @Darklordkime

scary i'm sure. That thing must have been pretty fun though. :) I'd romp it

  • @tommartyn Yea we do, i got it on 3 wheels once.

  • @Darklordkime :)

nice man, yeah, thats always safe

  • is that a a100 wheel horse

  • @tractorking93

I think its a 868, or 858, or 878. one of them, not sure which. one of the 8's is for 8hp, and the other is for 1968, and not sure what the number in the middle is for. But this had the 3 speed trans with high and low.

I looked up what an A100 was, and they were made from 76 to 77, and had 10HP briggs on them. Other then that, and the hood looking a little different, they are pretty much the same machines i'd guess. if they are Horizontal shaft like these.

  • sweet mower stuntin

  • @TheAtxman8669

haha, thanks man, it is fun tipping these things backwards.

  • ill buy it 4 $50

  • @MegaSierra123

    hahah, no you won't.

  • what state do you live in?

  • Yer gonna fuck up that old gem be nice to it :) plz

  • looks like a raider 12

  • @E1A2T3O4N5

All wheelhorses have pretty much the same shape and all. BUT, if you really know wheel horses, this doesn't look like a raider 12. the grill is different, seats different, the entire frame, and hood are way shorter. stuff like that. though i think the trans might be the same. 3 speed, with high and low.

I do have a raider 10, which looks the same as a 12

  • Wheel horses kick ass mowers! I have 3 of those bitchs

  • @TheFordman8868

Yeah, they can kick some ass for sure!

  • Oooo a whole 23MPH....

  • b 4 i was born in 1994 my dad had a 64 wheel horse with a posey track rear end and it was identical to this one hahaha he said it was a fun fucker lol now i own a 67 cub cadet 123 and a 64, 71 1971 107 well 2 107s and a 63 100 and 2 1967 john deer 110

  • @shephardjacdc i got a JD 210 nice little tractors

  • me likey

  • I'm not sure either, I'm pretty sure the b80 never had the starter/generator too, but high/low, it did. They made those into this century.

  • Are you sure that's not a really old B80? It looks a lot like my B100. 10 horse Kohler

  • @ThePolarisdog

All horizontal shaft wheel horses look pretty similar from the mid 60's up until the 90's. with the same basic setup, frmae, and shape. and alot of the years used Kohlers. But yeah, i don't think the B80 model was around in 1968. And by the time of the B80's, i don't think they were using starter generators anymore, i could be wrong though. But this definitely isn't a B80. This things got high and low too.

  • Wheelhorse buffs would die. That thing would crush a grown man with it's weight alone

  • @ThePolarisdog

They are amazing machines for sure. And about half the weight of a bolens :)

  • What model is the wheelhorse in the video? its kinda hard to see

  • @pontiacpanic79

There isn't a visible model number on the thing. it had it on the belt shield, but over the years the label fell off. It was an 8?? The first digit is HP, and it came stock with an 8HP kohler. and last digit is the year. it was either an 87 or 88. leaning toward 88 because of the way wheel horse is written. so its probably an 8?8, maybe an 868, 858, 878. I don't know enough about wheel horse to totally figure it out.

  • @tommartyn Thank you. would you have any tractors made before the 1970s?

  • @pontiacpanic79

ah, sorry i forgot to write that, but this wheel horse is either a '67 or '68 the "6" from 1968 are implied. its a 3 digit model number, the first is the HP, second is the configuration for the trans, and the last digit is which year it was in the 1960's. Kinda confusing.

Pretty much all of my tractors are from the 60's. i have a few from the 70s but thats about it.

  • Would you happen to have a snow plow for it?

  • @pontiacpanic79

Yeah, but its on my raider 10, it came with the raider. and i'm hanging onto that thing like crazy because its such an awesome design, it mounts, all the way back on the rear axle, so all the weight you push with the plow, goes directly to the rear tires! and it pushes all the resistance down for traction. so the harder it is to push, the more traction you get... just awesome. Bolens plows bolt right on the front axle and its retarded in comparison. useless almost.

  • I did the same thing with my sears ss15. It does about 15. Do you want the sell that old wheel horse? I want it without the engine

  • @pontiacpanic79

    Where do you live?

  • @tommartyn Franklin, nj

  • @pontiacpanic79

Thats not too far, 90 miles, about 2 hours. We might be able to work something out. Thats got the high low trans in it also. Hoods in decent shape and all

  • This is what good mechanics do when they get bored. I totally dig this. I have an old Murry that'll do about ten MPH.

  • @chakathewolf

    haha, :)

Nice, 10MPH is a pretty decent speed. I think this thing did about 5.5MPH stock

  • poorman's fourwheeler

  • @ipodsrdabest

    More like, "Four Men's Poorwheeler"

  • try doing this with a 1992 simplicity!

  • @drews1998 why

  • atv's are for noobs

  • @wpepie

haha, yeah. Sometimes they are :)

  • What a complete moron !

  • @nighthawkron

What, you mean like an idiot?

  • I could get my entire lawn done in four minutes with that thing.

  • YOU NO WENE SOMETHING HAPPENS AND YOU SEE IT HAPPEN ON CAMARA then the person say yer that didnt happen ?????????????????? 0:47

  • @SMITHY2010LS9

He was just trying to be funny.

  • 23 is slow, my craftsman would do 35 but it shattered the rearend and even blew up the 12 horse briggs.

  • 23 MPH is slow, I had a craftsman with a 12 horse briggs that would do 35 but I shattered the rearend drifting. Keep up the good vids.

  • Damn that looks like fun!

  • do you lick your fingers when your done jerking off?

  • @hanratty450

Not unless i stuck them in my asshole. Why?

  • we have a wheel horse c-121 getting ready for a lawn mower race, any tips to make it faster?

  • we have a wheel horse c-121 and are getting it faster for a lawn mower race, we have changed the pullys to bigger at the front and smaller at the back, removed the govner and got rid of all the weight we can, what else can we do to increase the top speed?

  • @sammiguel92

Is that a 12HP? Thats alot of power if it is. if you still need more spee, you can put an even bigger pully on the front. Go as big as you want :) don't go too small in the back though, because at a certain point, too small will just slip. the bigger diameter pullys get better belt traction. But yeah, that and bigger tires. but then its more top heavy, and thats not the greatest thing if you're going to go pretty fast.

  • that one goes a little faster than mine HAHA this is awsome :-D

  • @NomaDairy

thanks man :) thing was pretty quick

  • Does You Family Tree Have Any Branches???

  • oh, Hahahaa, Man, (Slaps knee) ahhhaahaha. Damn... Seriously some funny brilliant stuff man.

haha, There's a tractor, haha, and a guy on it, haha, and, oh man, this part really gets me the best, hahahah, So he's a hillbilly and his family are inbreeders!!! hahaha! man...Can't get enough of that.

You know, at first glance of this video, i would have thought it was just some people having fun with some stuff... But man am i a fucking idiot. Clearly, Cliché's are the way to go.

  • This thing is like the Mad Max of lawn mowers. I love it! Admire the way you handle it. It's like you're one with the mower. Ha!

  • @ole9421

haha, yeah, you get to know them when you build them :)

  • Hillbilly Heaven, I am envious!

  • i watch this about once a week and i still laugh, i wanna find one of these old wheelhorses and change the pulley size and make it go 80mph lol. im still keeping my eye out for one.

  • haha, :) nice. Yeah man! they are out there for sure :) Be careful with 80, this thing starts getting squirrelly around 20 MPH

  • Comment removed

  • Nah, We start out with the broken neck. Not sure what breaks eventually... :)

  • hahaha... that IS a big pig! did you gear it different it fuckin flys... you could have a ball with it in the snow here in Ottawa... bylaw would be all over you.

  • can you tell me how much HP plez

  • Sure! Its got a 5HP Honda OHC engine on it! :) It came off of a pressure washer

  • i got a 1962 wheel horse with a 7hp kohler motor

  • Get a wheelie bar for that thing! lol

it would probably tip over real easy too if you turned in too fast, gotta love no helmets!

  • holy shit

  • You kids be careful! Yer gonna put an eye out! ha ha ha

  • Don't look dangerous to me.... lol!!! I got a video of my stock wheel horse. I tried that with my massey furgesson tractor but it doesn't have a ton of power. What kind of gearing and stuff did you use? H.P.? 5....10....20?

  • :) yeah, it just seems dangerous i guess. when your riding it and you thinking about it flipping sideways on you or something... i think it would hurt like crazy! :) This thing really doesn't have any power, its a 5HP engine. gotta go alittle down hill to get the 23 MPH top speed out of it. The massey's are heavier too, that could have something to do with it. I'll send you the video i made of making this wheel horse. :)

  • I used to wheel stand my old MF135 like that years ago.

But she is so old now it would feel like punching your granny in the face for fun. .............. I don't do that anymore either.

  • 0:37 he loses it and has to chase it lol

    LMFAO

  • haha, yeah i knew that something was going to happen when went to stop the burnout. so i was ready for action :)

  • Nice toy! I like your post about not being vague and uncooperative when asking a question....man they will let ANYONE on this internet huh

  • Thanks! haha, yeah. sometimes that gets to me. people just barely get any words out to ask stuff, and aren't even nice about it. seems like bad attitudes. :)

  • is that the only wheel horse you got? and what kind of motor is in there because that is damn fast.

  • Nah, i've got 3. this one, a 606, and a raider 10.

This came with an 8 hp kohler in it, but that broke the rod while idling one day. it used to go about 5 MPH. Drew let me use his trashpicked 5HP honda, OHC engine, and i put different pullys on it. did about 23 MPH. Didn't have any power in high gear though. Needed more HP.

The raider 10 has a 5HP tecumseh in it right now, and it does about 8 MPH with the pullys on it.

  • i got a 1986 420-lse it's bad ass with a 20 horse power kohler hydrostatic with a race steering wheel and chrome exhoust and rims and a leather race seat. and tecumseh is shit they fucking suck at making motors.

  • The 5HP temcuseh is ok, its off a go cart. its got more power then the worn out .5.5hp honda had. can do some serious wheelies with it. hasn't let us down yet. and i had an old 60's 6HP cast iron block tecumseh horizontal shaft that kicked some ass for a while. always ran perfect with ALOT of power, till i over reved it and broke the connecting rod. Tecumseh's do kinda suck though. don't normally hold up. i have alot that have alot of power, but blow crazy amounts of oil out the exhaust.

  • how to you get them to go that fast??

  • I'll send you the video showing what i did :)

  • Can you get a link to the video of showing what i did with the wheel horse?

  • if you send it....

  • State to me what you are asking for. Do not just write 4 words, and then ... If you are asking for something, be specific, and let me know. If you want me to help you out, you shouldn't be vague or uncooperative.

  • hey nice wheel horse.. i did the same to my 1976 a-100. its my pulling tracter.. it has lugs in the back with 40 pounds of wiendshield wiper fluid in each one. i straight piped it too! it also has the original 10hp engine in it.

  • Nice! that has to be cool with 10HP pushing it. the 5 on this is not quite enough.

  • how fast can it spin the mower deck

  • haha, you would think it could do that... but yeah. i kinda just made it to drive. But it uses a seperate pully on the engine for the deck, and i only have that one pully on the engine for the transmission. the 5HP engine wouldn't be able to handle the mowing deck very well. especially if it had to spin it faster then normal. It came with an 8HP engine originally.

  • yea me and my dad tuned up our old 198 wheel horse it's the most damn reliable mower he has owned we cut the grass with it now instead of the 2007 22hp husqvarna tractor with 52" mower deck.

  • nice way to ghost ride the whip

  • my craftsman goes 15mph, has a 4 inch rear pulley

  • Nice! that thing probably has alot of power at 15MPH too, unlike this thing at 23 with only a 5HP engine at the helm

  • It has the 12.5hp briggs i/c gold 286707, they are known for having a badly cast rod, which likes to catastrophically fail. But it hasnt yet. Im gonna put a rod from a 14.5hp OHV in it this summer and some new rings, it burns oil.

  • yeaa i have an old bolings but it needs a motor... its very big to lol

  • Awesome! what kind of bolens is it?

  • im not too sure... a friend gave it to me a long time ago... its in my barn ill have to go look at it in a bit

  • They are some cool machines! I hope you get it going.

  • freaken sweeT!!!!!!

  • shooot i tell u whutt..

  • 1:27 what is that white car?

  • Looks like an old Datsun 280Z

  • its 1976 toyota celica

  • haha sweet name, wheel horse. I like it :D

  • yeah, Wheel-Horse's are serious Wheelie machines! :) we all were taking turns on another one today, doing awesome fun balancing wheelies as long as we could. some times flipping backward.

  • wht do you do to it to make it like that? I got one that runs fine i just want to it MOVE!

  • change the pulleys, bypass the govenor, smaller tires would give it more power idk about speed tho.

  • small tires= torque and stable. big = fast and tippy

  • Always leave the governor :) the governor helps maintain throttle position, when you apply a load. its a good thing to have. just put more tension on the spring that goes to the governor, and the rpms will scream like this thing does. but this is an overhead cam, and thats the kind of engine you want to be reving really high. way better with high rpm's. :) honda's are always good with the high rpm thing though, with the short stroke and all.

  • If you want to see how i altered this beast, you could check out the video from soon before this one, where i show what i did. :)

  • was that a late 60's Fairlane 500 I saw?

  • That would most likely be the 69 Chrysler 300! :) amazing awesome car :)
