That's not true - anarchists tend to see the government *as* criminal. And, quite frankly, government's track record is nothing to be proud of when it comes to individual rights.

Anarchists merely see cause and effect differently than most other individuals - they would probably argue that the cause of most if not all human suffering can be traced back to the coercive powers of government. Dr. Higgs is neither cowardly nor dishonest. He merely sees the world differently than do you.

the majority of the callers and emails are complete and utter morons. Not only are they morons, but they assign views to Higgs and those who share his views that are completely the opposite of what Higgs' views are (you're a fascist, you're an apologist for Wall Street welfare etc). It's all thanks to the Republicans in Congress and their corporate welfare bullshit, esp. under Bush. Dick Cheney ACTUALLY met with energy co leaders before the invasion of Iraq to "divvy up" the oil. Libertarians are opposed to this kind of nonsense. We advocate a free market because it is FAR MORE EFFICIENT than regulation 9 times out of 10. We don't want corporatism. Big business can be just as dangerous as big gov't at times. Libertarians look out for the individual.
