  • Wait a minute! I subscribe to Tetsudo Fan magazine, and I had seen articles that at least ONE trainset had been totaly restored and is in service on one of the shinkansen lines! Is this not true, that these trains are now ALL gone into history If anyone sees this comment and know please let me know! I haven't had a chance to ride these particular rolling stock ye! I have been stuck all this time in God damn poverty in God damn America! Thank you!

  • @electricrailwaygod I remember riding the 0-Series Shinkansen between Tokyo and Kyoto in 1986. The train was comfortable and fast for its day, but it's actually a little hard to stand up because the train bounced around a bit when going at over 200 km/h. I'm sure the current 700 Series trains used on the Hikari and Kodama runs are quite a bit smoother.
