@videoholicreturns yeah they're beastly cars! it's coming up on time for my major tune up and i'm looking forward to it, because she runs like a champ but i know she'll just be that much better!
@videoholicreturns Wow! That would be a really good investment! Those cars are good looking and cheap! Get them now before they become collectables! Are there any in youre area, I heard they are pretty rare!!
Very nice car, I bet the audio sounds GREAT in it. Does it have a 3800 engine? I love the 3800 engines, my 04 grand prix has the series 3 in it. I like the regal, they have the 3800's. I wanted a regal for a while, i still do. My dad has an 02 Buick Rendezvous CXL it's VERY nice. i have a video of it on my profile. It has air ride. And a built in air compressor in the back of it!
i can not express to the world how much i love my 98 park avenue ive wanted this car since i was 5 it took me twelve years to get it i want a new 2005 best styled car best rideing car and cheap maintence
These are great cars. I purchased a 2005 with 16,700 miles and nearly every option in August of last year. I traded my '99 with over 140,000 miles for this one. They are basically the same but the '05 is much more attractive with the chrome wheels, port holes, and White Diamond paint. It is fun to find the little changes over my old one. But for the most part GM didn't change them from '97-05. Shame they don't make them anymore.
Ray, do you get cataract surgery on your eyes? When my Grandmother had to get her eyes done one in 1999 and the other in 2000, she had to sit still in a chair and not move for a certain length of time. Did you have to do that?
I've had my Ultra since early 04. I've got 134,000 miles on it, and the doors, hood, and trunk still make that beautiful, meaty "thunk" when you shut them. Solid as a rock. I even started modifying the motor at around 90,000 miles. Modify a 90k Toyota, I dare you! You'll get back a handful of bearings and pretzelled connecting rods...GM really knows how to build big V6s.
Not at all. Most of the guys that modify them don't start till they're over 80k. They're beastly tough. Actually, the unsupercharged motors are the scray ones. The upper intake can crack and flood the motor with coolant. In fact, if you haven't yet, you should have yours checked. There are a couple kits that can solve the issue permanently, and they're fairly cheap and easy to install.
Frankly, either engine can easily last to 300k if you take proper care of them.
i bought my 2001 a couple months ago w/ 87k miles on it and it's my baby! she's my first car and i hope to keep her til she can't run anymore!

Yes, I had the cataract surgery in Feb. of 2006. As far as sitting in a chair and not moving...that was only during the surgery!

I was warned to stay away from those Ultras, something about those engines going at 60 or 70 K miles.
