If you see the DVD of this show....she is unhappy with air temp as her singing voice needs heat and it was cold...she went behinds the scenes and asked for heat...she even nearly gave up on the whole show....interesting.

I enjoy this song but I think she should stop doing it at gigs.. A bit boring, like many Banshees classics, like Christine or even Israel, especially with her now voice. I think she should do more BSides & stuff like that. For example, it was excellent when she did These Boots are Made For W, or hello I Love You or.... Shooting Sun etc

@bufon63 This is absolutely not embarassing! This song is extremely hard to sing for someone her age, and she does it pretty well my friend. If she was in her 20s or 30s and she'd be singing like this, you'd be right, but you ought to check at what age she did this show. She is mostly in tune let me tell you.

Siouxsie's voice is definitely what it was in the '80s these days but she can still wipe the floor with lots of so-called prefab X-factor "artists" - her voice has got deeper but nonetheless the emotion is there and she can undoubtedly hold a note. With all due respect I think your comment is rather unfair... And in any case she is not "desperately" trying to replicate her performance from the Tinderbox days... She's just singing a great song and has adapted it to her vocal range....

@bufon63 I suppose you would prefer to put auto-tune on her vocals? Maybe you don't understand her voice command & the way she has has often thrown harmonies askew. That's one of the things that makes her style so unique. I'll grant you that she sounds out of breath, but she is putting on a hell of a performance & is "actually" singing. Siouxsie Sioux has inspired so many a diva & warrior to the call...& still is.

@bufon63 As a musician myself, at 50, I can tell you the voice is the first thing to go. She was a young thing when they first did this. She was pushing in her mid 40's when they did this show. How about cutting her some slack.

@guitarslinger48 Agreed about the voice. Plus she was a smoker as well. She was always a contralto vocalist but i think her voice being much deeper adds a richness, haunting beauty to the music, past, present and future recordings. And she STILL doesn't sound like anyone else. For those who has a problem with her voice, listen to "Voodoo Dolly" on the Seven Year Itch cd and hear how incredibly creepy and haunting that vocal is to the original track.
