  • If England does not want him, can America have him? I think he is great.

  • Lib Dems want all of europe to unite instead of being seperate nations working for themselve just become apart of the european union, they want th UK to take up the euro, i used to oppose it greatly, but now, i support the idea, i hope he becomes PM sometime, or atleast the Lib Dems become the main group, the tories and labur are asbad as eachother and have no real goals. Lib Dems are the only good party left.

  • i think nick clegg is a wonderful man. i would be glad to see him prime minister. his rules laws and policies are just right for this kind of society...

  • @trippendale742

    Still thinking he's 'wonderful'?

  • A politician like Clegg could have been in government already under Labour, or guaranteed a cabinet post under the next Tory majority.

Instead he sacrifices arbitrary power for his principles. That, whether or not one agrees with him, takes humility.

  • It's opportunism. It's easier to get to the top in the Liberal Democrats than in the Conservative Party. Tony Blair did the same with Labour. They were a dead party and it was easy to rise in Labour. WHat a disaster for this country Blair turned out to be.

  • @IanDavidMorris

This seems quite ironic now, doesn't it?

  • Hope.

  • In Sunderland, a lot of people still unfortunately for who their parents vote for.

  • Um, without notes? He's plainly looking at notes just out of shot on the bottom right!

    Typical libdem spin...

  • President Clegg. Are you for real?? It wasn't exactly Churchill was it? Oh dear the Libs have been smoking the funny fags again!!

  • Please read the video's description. I called the video "President Clegg" because of the presidential style of his announcement. It wasn't out of respect for Clegg, it was an attempt at an insult.

  • Interesting. But until electoral reform is implemented, the LibDems have little chance of winning the elections. They can best hope for a small gain in the House of Commons.

  • If there's a hung Parliament (which I think is very likely) the Lib Dems will hold the balance of power. You may just see Nick Clegg as Deputy Prime Minister in a Labour-Lib Dem coalition after the next election.

  • You actually think Labour would create a coalition with the Lib Dems? I doubt it. Although I'm only a Sixth Form student, so I'm not so much knowledgable about coalition governments. So why would they merge?

  • If in the next election Labour gets fewer than 325 seats (the amount needed to have an overall majority) but is still the largest party, Labour may need to form a coalition with the Lib Dems just to stay in power and get legislation through the House of Commons.

  • You are a comedian, this joker couldn't run a bath, he's a Cameron wanabee!! By the way, "Media" is spelt this way.

  • It IS spelt 'Medea', after the Colchisian Princess in Greek mythology. Also, I too think Clegg is a Cameron wannabe.

  • Just because he looks a little like cameron and is roughly the same age as cameron doesn't mean he wants to be like Cameron. If he really wanted to be like david cameron, why is he a liberal and not a conservative?

  • I don't think he's a Cameron wannabee. Does look like cameron though. He's trying to revolutionise Britain into a more liberal country.

  • I don't trust Nick Clegg, because he is the answer to Tony Blair and David Cameron, hook on spin and corruption.

Well I say, Vote for Chris Huhne!

  • The Labour leader is Gordon Brown not Tony Blair you tool.

  • Yes, I know that the Prime Minister and Labour Leader is Gordon Brown! And he is also hook on spin and corruption.

  • now now at least he trys. hmmmmmm?

  • Nick Clegg is the genuine one,Cameron is and always will be a phoney. Judging by the comments of the person who posted this I would have to say that they are a very scared Tory quaking in their boots!!

  • Sorry to be good you have to have policy and the LibDems will never be known as anything else than a party that is so wishy washy, that can make promises as they know they will Never have to deliver them as a UK Government.

  • Absolutely phenomenal. David Cameron must be terrified - Clegg seems everything Dave's pretending to be.

  • I think there is a great danger that the voters will get Mr. Clegg and Mr. Cameron mixed up. It's hard to say which, if any, party will be helped by this. People may watch Clegg and say "oh I like him, he's that Tory isn't he?" of course the reverse may happen when DC speaks. If this happens disproportionately in favour of the Lib Dems, Gordon Brown will benefit. No wonder David Cameron used to say "Ming Campbell is nightly in my prayers".

  • Yes, no doubt he'll be pissing himself...

Come on Cleg, stop trying to copy DC and show us who you really are.

  • Absolutely phenomenal. Are you for real?? It wasn't exactly Churchill was it? Oh dear the Libs have been smoking the funny fags again!!
