i remember coming out of a mall in 2009 seeing a HUGE (NO REALLY I LOOKED FREAKING BIG!) red moon, this was believed to be called a "Harvest Moon" there was no eclipse day we could see from Texas, so stfu about it.
same here in mesa az fucking saw it after comeing back with my friend down brown road going west and not a full moon but cresent and it was BLOOD RED and i said something and later got high and didnt go out and view it much more or reasearch it till today thats cool shit that i wasnt the only one
Redmoon is when the earth blocks out the light 4m the sun 2 the moon and the rays of the sun bend around the earth and turn red and reflet on the moon making the moon turn a blood red!(:
Our atmosphere scatters blue light (which is why the sky is blue during the day). The red light is left behind. It's the same reason the sun appears red near the horizon. Atmospheric conditions affect how much light is scattered. In this case, it was scattering a lot of it. I've seen this phenomenon before.
It's not commonly observed because people don't generally see the moon this low on the horizon due to things blocking the view like trees and buildings.
This happens when there's a large amount of dust or pollution in the air. When this is the case, some of the colors (blue, green and purple) get refracted by all that nastiness. The strong light waves that do make it are red, yellow and orange - the colors with the longest wavelengths.
Probably happened because of pollen in the air or particular climatic reasons leading to lots of dust.
thank you for the comment, but this case is quite different, I have received feedback and comment from other location in Canada as well as TN, USA as well on the day.

We had a red moon in Mayo, Ireland on 7th June 2009. I blame it on 2 weeks of intensive chemtrails. But I have never seen a red moon before.

I noticed the red moon too. Does anyone know why it was red? And was it only red in vancouver (i'm from vancouver too)?
blackbomberman99 2 years ago
Whenever it is low in the sky it is more likely to be colored in some fashion, because you are looking through a greater distance of atmosphere.
