Why is the AR kicking back on the shooter? The AR has about 5 pounds of kick, or is shooter holding the AR loose to demonstrate that the gas piston reduced the recoil?
I run the Adams Arms gas piston system on one of my 16" ARs and like it very much. Great video...thanks!
Do you have to use the hand guards that come with the conversion or can you keep the setup you have on your current rifle after installing the piston system?
@jkmcdani It comes with new hand guards that allow the rod to move. I kept my old aluminum one for the bottom because of the front grip. I used the top one that came with the kit.
@troopcom No. It stays cleaner because all the hot gas and carbon aren't blown back into the receiver. All that stuff blows out around the block by the front sight.
so what was the outcome from this video? i thought they were comparing the two... so what happened? which one was decided better?

if you're a fan of putting a gas piston in an AR, then what the hell is the point in buying an AR in the first place?
next to Assumptions being the mother of all fuck ups, next on the list is trying to make something into something its not.
