Seem to me you are refering to Kaplanov. He was not a scientist, but a writer/author that wrote a couple of books about Tigers some 70 years ago. Neither he, or his socalled sources was found to be reliable. He wanted to sell books. There was one male Tiger called Dale that killed some Bears, but that has also become an internet myth (or hoax) as the Bears he killed was all small. There is a lot of very professional hoaxes about Tiger, especially about their size and what they have killed.

Or did it just wimp out from a fight? Bears, although very powerful, are known to even run away from a human being depending on how you interact with it.
But once the bears are pissed off, it would not stop chasing and attacking no matter what. Even cougars which usually chases off bears(and never hurt any of the bears by one scratch) would get killed very easily. It was already weird how a tiger was able to struggle when a bear was attacking.

Look at the neck on an asian brown bear... they are built like Bluto. The tiger is literally going at the bears strength. It is tough to see the Tiger getting in that close on a bear and not being severely mauled, and pounded to death.

Fully grown tigers can snap the backbone of a grown brown bear if the pounce on them head on. So yeah, tigers can kill a grown bear. They do not often attack them, though, for obvious reasons - there is lots of smaller and less dangerous prey around :)

The largest Brown Bear ever documented killed by a Tiger was a 170 kg (fat) young female killed while hibernation. Most of the grown females killed were 80- 120 kg. Brown Bears in Sikhote- Alin are very small compared to the Kamtchatka Bear. Largest documented male was "only" 360 kg. Females weigh around 100- 170 kg.

Seem to me you are refering to Kaplanov. He was not a scientist, but a writer/author that wrote a couple of books about Tigers some 70 years ago. Neither he, or his socalled sources was found to be reliable. He wanted to sell books. There was one male Tiger called Dale that killed some Bears, but that has also become an internet myth (or hoax) as the Bears he killed was all small. There is a lot of very professional hoaxes about Tiger, especially about their size and what they have killed.

I think a Brown bear or Polar bear would no doubt kill a tiger if thrown in a cage together. However, this is not to say that a tiger couldn't kill one. Tigers do feast on Sloth bears and Asiatic Black bears as well as interior Siberian Brown bears. (note: these Brown bears found in the Siberian tiger's range are typically only half the size of the Kodiak and Kamchatkan bears) Chances are the tiger only will kill a bear if it is smaller than itself and can kill it without being injured.

Large brown bears have been seen doing this, there is even some youtube videos of this where one is killing a huge moose. A tiger is very powerful, but not THAT powerful. Realistically, a tiger or lion would be no match for a bear. Bears are stronger pound for pound and the largest bears are alot bigger than the largest cats. A bear's bone structure is stronger than the cat's and it's hide is thick and it has greater reach than the tiger or lion. A bear is also faster and more agile than you think.

EVen the the sloth bear is known for stealing carcasses from bengal tigers in india, however tigers have greater chances to win over a smaller bear, a sloth bear is usually a dangerous opponent and sometimes a full growm male can be serious enemy. If both weigh 250 kg , bear and tiger have similar bite force at 180kgs. The problem is this weight is for a non full grown bear while is almost a record for a wild tiger. Bears at up 500kgs or even 800 kgs have MUCH GREATER bite force.

i never seen a footage of polar bear or grizzly vs tiger but i have seen documentary which says tiger hunts bears. and seen some footages tiger attacking chasing bears.

You are retarded. A bear cannot run 60kmh for 20 minutes. They can burst to 35 going DOWN HILL, but only for a few seconds.

Largest bears goes up to 10-12ft. (sometimes 13) and weighs all the way up to 2,200lb. Now you said the bear got owned in those fights you've mentioned. Was the bear hurt or injured? Or did it just wimp out from a fight? Bears, although very powerful, are known to even run away from a human being depending on how you interact with it.

But once the bears are pissed off, it would not stop chasing and attacking no matter what. Even cougars which usually chases off bears(and never hurt any of the bears by one scratch) would get killed very easily. It was already weird how a tiger was able to struggle when a bear was attacking.
