i had that E74 and did the x clamp fix it worked for like a day (i think its mainly for RROD) but i did the heat gun fix focusing on the GPU and HANA chip and so far its working good hopefully it doesnt come back

i think it was fixed because you had the shell off for such a long period of time

i noticed when i was playing halo while i waited for my shell to dry that it worked alot better

i think its equivalent of taking off your shirt on warm day, i makes you feel alot better afterwards

Oh and did you paint over the power button? I was able to cover the power ring with painters tape, but not the logo itself because it's so small. How'd you do it?

i covered mine aswell. But in the end, I sprayed a thin coat of black over it. You could faintly see the power insignia. This next time around, Im just going over it completely. =)

How'd you take off the bay to the USB ports? I broke my faceplate today because the metal plate that holds the USB bay in place won't let itself get glued back in place heh.

So I just bought a new faceplate on eBay for a re-try lol. But don't wanna mess it up as well.

Also, I want to paint my 360 shell but I still have 2 years of warranty on the xbox... I'm in dubio heh. What to do.. So for now I painted my controller and it made me feel confident about painting. It looks near perfect =)

keep practicing for that two years you can look at my favorites there are allot of tutorials then buy a shell off ebay and paint it so when ur warranty is up you have a pre modded shell and this is best cause if you mess it up then you have a backup shell but if you do it well then you can mod your other shell

I used FLAT spray paint. The actylic has a bit of shine to it, I also put a few layers of gloss clear coat on it.
