  • my favorite from the album!

  • Several of my comments are missing. Hm. Penalized for being too partisan? Like college all over again. Ha. No reason to come back after tonight anyways. Antiquiet has a great review of this album.

  • Does the beginning reminds anyone else of Wynona's Big Brown Beaver?

  • By Primus right? I didn't pick up on that before but thats funny

  • who sings this? for me vocals arent strong enough on some of other tracks.

  • why the fuck would you type out "whats the word"

  • Crap. I hope I didn't just start a new slang term for something being unpleasant.

"Dude, that schwag weed was fuckin' Hitler.man!"

  • Comment removed

  • Dude that comment was pure Hitler.

  • Wow. No. Not at all.

  • asshole

  • No, because this is the best song, and it comes after Scumbag Blues.

  • @ffmcracdftw i think the album after scumbag blues gains even more steam, but a different one, more psychedelic, progressive, ultra awesome, etc...

  • yeah that explains it perfectly

  • I was just telling my buddy the same thing. The first half is damn good, and then the acid that the band dropped at the middle of 'no one loves me' kicks in and the album gets more badass.

  • I'm feeling the slight Zeppelin sound. I like the guitar intro. I'm kinda disappointed there aren't any major guitar solos that really stand out, but still a great album overall.

  • got a great flow on this one.

  • this has a led zep feel to it......

  • @campasini I was thinkin' the same thing.

  • @campasini just ever so slightly

  • Yep, check out "South Bound Suarez"...

  • this is fucking grooving !

  • I really don't understand why reviews are giving this album 3 stars on average. Its incredible, you hit play and a joint almost magically appears in your hand.

  • Hitler?

Why is it so in vogue right now to compare everything to Hitler?

    Obama is Hitler

    Rush Limbaugh is Hitler

    Algebra is Hitler

    Traffic lights are Hitler

    Broccoli is Hitler

Sort of diminishes the nastiness of the real Hitler, don't you think?

  • 71SAVAGES IS A HITLER LOVER!!

  • Nein!

  • Broccoli is Hitler youre right^!!!

  • Broccoli is on par, I think.

  • fuck no. everybody knows traffic lights are hitler.

  • This is a genius lineup, brilliant album

  • The opening few riffs of this song are immensely pleasing.

  • what the fuck? Dave Grohl is one of the most talented modern drummers, and my personal drummer idol. Why would you call him hitler?

  • Comment removed

  • and you are a complete asshole

  • You're Hitler.

  • What is that background image?

  • Hope everybody actually buys it an doesnt just file share.... i want to hear a second album from them!!

  • how is this possible?

  • Great drive

  • fuck my face

  • Back and Bowie in there too. like it much

  • its like sex in my ears

  • jesus wept! these guys are amazing!! check out a band called deirdre and the rasheeds from uk on myspace if u like this!

  • no thanks.

  • no .

  • This one has a lot of JPJ in it to me. (Morroco-Cashmere feel to it) Josh really makes it shine vocally. ( Lennon/Beatles influence) And Dave's drumming brings it all into this century. I like it.

  • this is my favorite song of the album!

  • Me too - it's the soft chorus isn't it?

  • most definantley, amazing song

  • i have listened to this about 80 times today .

  • I hear alot of david bowie in this song..i cant wait to get this album.. im already jizzin in my pants over it..

  • how good is this? it seems to grow by the hour. I sense an "event" kind of on the scale of Sgt Peppers here. In my head I've dubbed this LP "Wheels of Graffiti". I can't rule this out as a potential favorite band.

  • youre going to have to reevaluate my friend

  • i'm in awe, and i'm only at track 8, this album is best i've heard all year, possibly this decade

  • quit

  • You are too shallow to like anything like this aren't you? You can always go back to your blink 182. Trying to stir up shit here isn't going to work.

  • maybe. but maybe future humans will really dig this stuff. and stone temple pilots albums. the latter ones.

  • Ya I will return to Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder, GNR, and...One Day as a Lion...check that out and get back to me

  • One Day asa Lion is pretty kick ass. I don't know what this argument is about, but if he doesn't like this it's not his fault. At least this guy likes good music. Although I think GNR is overrated....

  • HERE!

  • fuck your face.

  • I just love the ending of this song. The switch to that super mellow slide guitar at 3:30 and the final lyrics are spine-tingling.

  • This and Bandoliers are really growing on me.

  • Oh my god me too. I love these songs after a good bit of listening!

  • maybe it is Nick but he usually sounds like Pee Wee Herman on crack when he sings so i do not know

  • reptiles slither and so does this song

  • Reportedly NOT Mark Lanegan or David Bowie, just Homme and possibly Dave singing backup. Only the credits will tell for sure.

  • bass players , meet your daddy .

  • It sounds like David Bowie is the backsinger in this song, does anybody know anything about that? =) Love this album! <3

  • Mark Lanegan. I'm sure of it.

  • nope

  • Presence + Run Pig Run

  • Dude, exactly. I think someone described this song as "the sexy young neice of the mean old uncle Run Pig Run", which describes it perfectly.

  • totally perfect description, i would so bang that sexy neice!

  • queens of the stone age is currently my favorite band... but these guys could very likely take their place!

  • Totally agree! I already pre-ordered the LP, and luckily, because i´m living in germany, tomorrow my Vinyl will already show up ;) absolutely love this band!

  • My favourite.

  • Fucking awesome song! Favourite so far.

Love the bass in the chorus... Totally Zeppelin. JPJ you fucking genius...

  • I hope he won't fuck any geniuses no more.

  • I believe thats how he got so good. I heard once that he slept with Kenny G.

  • thank you thank you thank you for this

  • What a sick ass dirty track JPJ 1:35 so sick!

  • Less than a week until I play the shit out of this album.

  • very led zeppelin-eske! cool!

  • it is!.... everything off this album is, its so sick

  • And I mean this as a very high compliment... This song sounds like something left off of Presence

I saw them in NYC in October; just amazing and so much fun to see. If you get the chance to see them, don't hesitate to!

  • The beginning of Reptiles sounds like the beginning of "Run Pig Run" (by QOTSA) :O

  • this songs so badass...definitely my favorite so far from the album.

  • fucking A

  • dig it!!!!

  • This is my fav song of all time :)

  • great sound, haven't seen any great new rock albums in a while now, thank goodness for this

  • un beso en la mejilla de foo+un beso en la mejilla de led zeppelin+traanza con QOTSA= Them Crooked Vultures

  • Josh Homme...the man who saved Rock&Roll!!!

  • Very good! 5***** Still cannot measure up to Kyuss/QoTSA though (in my opinion), albeit the queens-ish sound, and the awesome alliance of Grohl, JPJ & Homme.

I'd recommend 'Gardenia' by Kyuss if you don't know what I'm talking about.

  • how about whitewater??

  • that's good too. Maybe even catamaran if you're suitably stoned.

  • @FreedomFighterUK

I agree kyuss has become one of my most played bands and i only found about them a year ago. they are gold stuff like that doesnt come around often but this is still great

  • Great vibe, straight Rock-n-roll

  • Yea, sounds like this could have been from the "in through the out door" days. It's awesome!

  • wow this tottaly has that zepp feel to it, cant wait to blast it in the car

  • Around 1:30, the vocals sound so much like Bowie...!

  • This is bitchin.

  • album often has this era vulgaris sound

  • i expected nothing less, album feels like good old days,

  • Comment removed

  • Seamen I agree - I thought maybe Bowie meets T-Rex but with there own spin - awesome song - what a groove SPiders from Mars meets Jeepster- Jonesy going off on a couple diff instruments - I cant wait to see that part (who played what etc)

  • This has the most "zeppish" feel to it of the ones I've heard. I like the one that sounds like Cream best though

  • Yeah, but this is never a bad thing..Never!

  • that groove blows my mind

  • Best song on the album IMO.

I'll be rocking this shit till the grave.

These are the best riffs I've heard in DECADES.

  • this is definitely my favorite. i love this album!!!

  • I like it! Had high expectations for this album, from what I had heard, and I'm totally satisfied

  • favorite off the album.

  • This one sounds the most like Zep.

  • Does sound like bowie yeah. This albums like a mix of everything i love about music.

  • i fucking love this shit. josh knows how to wail on the guitar!

  • My nephew would love this as he loves guitar and plays it.

  • this is my favorite on the album

  • Wow. There definitely is a resemblance to Royal Orleans. I think Paulsy has found himself with another Jimmy. Hommes guitar mixing skills are similarly epic.

  • Sounds exactly like Bowie! WOW

  • this track sounds a bit like masters of reality, but its cool that josh is incorporating styles from the artistist he works with. also a much better vocal technique... what a great classic pentatonic rock album..

  • Wow really cool over the top, with guitar as noise/rhythm tool..got that wavy gravy slide thing..kind of reptilian..

  • but the REPTILES!!, they won't let me go!!!

  • The riffing on this album is immense. Takes turns where noone else takes them, twists where others trundle on. Fantastic.

  • This song is pretty sick nasty to the max with the flow.

  • 1:13 reminds me of zeppelin's song royal orleans

  • @astros0 Yea, I hear that, that's a great track too.

  • best song bowie never sang

    jpj genius!

  • All the songs on the album are great... but this one is the masterpiece.

  • I totally agree with you man, song is just mind blowing.

  • Crunge-like riffs .

  • That's what I said!

  • FOREIGN TOURIST

  • This is a really bad a** tune. The changes and drums are great and a vocal tone from Josh you don't hear to often. Awesome.

  • jonsey is the king

  • Run Pig Run + Kashmir?

  • @Deebee1337

=0 Totally! Right from the very start theres a Kashmir-ish sound on it.

  • nothing + nothing = awesome

  • I was thinking the same thing!

  • Is this a reference to the Reptiles on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas? I hear some Zeppelin that sounds like the crunge. Just a hint

  • Ya i thought the same, similar lyrics to Monsters in the parosol in the sense its about being scared shitless while on mind fuck drugs...

  • I been there before...

  • I love the bass on this...JPJ sounds like Geddy Lee on valium! Badass!

  • Anyone else find that Josh's voice sounds kinda like Scott Weiland at times in this song?

Weiland does the same kinda thing with his voice sometimes. It's almost like a not-quite-right Bowie impression. But it's good.

  • Kashmir

  • now this song is good.

  • This is quite possibly the coolest beginning of a song ever. Geez these guys are fn awesome. I feel Jonseys presence strong here

  • Heavily influenced by Jonesy's old band. But it also carries the great QOTSA vibes. Thank God, it doesn't smell like teen spirit!

  • Thank god for no Foo references too, am I right?

  • By this comment you just made one.

    Pretty good song though.

  • Fav song from this lot

  • Can feel the JPJ influence on this one, love it.

  • it all sounds zo zep

    nice

  • One of the best things to happen to music in a long time!

  • You are sooo right!!!

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for this fucking great album!!! love it!

  • it really has a zeppelin vibe to it,in my opinion that is,atleast the beginning has =o

  • this one is my pick - almost could have been on presence or physical

  • Shade, you need some sunshine.

  • your an idiot

  • super band and super disc, if you're a indie softly person, please, don't ear this music, ja

  • I believe my ears are orgasming.

  • Loving this band. Very solid and to the point.

  • Unfucking believable, cant stop listening to this one.
