I have an explanation, why it works better at night ->
At night the supervisor of the phone-monkey is not standing behind him, checking the work all the time AND you might be the very first call (in the middle of their shift) instead of the fifth call (in the last 20min) so they are more relaxed are still able to show some empathy and more willing to jump though the hoops for you that are included in a waiver.
