This was predominantly one of the weaker songs of the film and although it serves well to play with the viewer's emotions, it simply doesn't compare with more emphatic tracks such as Springtime for Hiller. If anything, its too corny although it would be fair to say that all musicals are built on the foundation of fantasy and not realism. As a loyal producers fan, Broderick's voice is fairly melodic and sets the tone nicely.
