ive been using a heat meat for years and none of mine have been burnt. in fact my mexucan redknee has burrowed to to bottom of the tank and getting maximum heat. hes even covered up all entrances to the hole. he moves about willy nilly in their. so, i suggest hes happy.

your an idiot. you never use heat mats they hurt the tarantula. you wanna make sure there isnt enough to drown any critter in there. and you need humidity wich is misting them. you dont mist the T you mist the tank. dont ever post a comment on tarantulas ever again.

Well in all due respect. A heat mat is a very bad idea for a tarantula. Yes some people do use them. But they also can burn the animal and kill them. So you really shouldn't do that.

well, they can do well at room temperature... but if it gets below 60F/15C I would recommend that you either heat the room, or use a heat pad on one SIDE of the tank... :)

@matty628891 Tarantula heat mats don't produce Heat.. Just such a gentle warmth. Will not harm you'r T in any way :-) Just make sure you get the one specifically for T's as they are soo gentle.. Barley warm! The Manafacturas know alot about what they're designing the mats for, therefore wouldn't make it so it produces alot of heat. xx
