Lets all be grateful that Warren lived to finish his wonderful "Farewell" album, "The Wind" a real masterpiece. It had humor ("Numb As A Statue") almost unbearable sadness ("Please Stay") beauty (" I'm not good enough for her") & his wonderful farewell, keep me in your heart for awhile. Plus powerful blues w/Joe Walsh. I am still catching up with Warren's music. Thanks Warren.

@MrGrevy I'm not certain, but Zevon was a Norman Mailer fan, and the line "He stamped and mailed her," right before the Norman name drop makes me think it's some kind of nod to him. I've never read Mailer, so if anyone knows why he would nod to him in this song, help us out :)!
