Some people are overweight due to medical problems,such as being on prednisone or having low thyroid. People should thing of these things. And A LOT of people with low thyroid are never diagnosed,so they continue to gain weight
Im 16,ever since I was a baby I was chuby. But when I went to middle school I started dropping lbs 2 get more and more attractive. By the time I was 13 I was on the bball team and I was always loosing weight, Granted I was never a big girl but i always needed 2 drop weight. Nowadays Im slim but thick in the right places (:P) Sometimes I c very large people and I wonder how they could be dressing that way and so on but I kind of agree with Nicki because for most ppl its not hard to loose weight.
You should be proud of yourself no matter what size you are. I don't encourage people to be fat, but I do encourage people to be themselves and love themselves. People should get in shape, but not because of the look, it must be 'cause of health. Once you start exercising you'll feel better and you'll get more confidence, and it's that confidence and healthy spirit what makes you look good, not the body.
We have to be honest here though, they wouldn't put someone the cousin's size on ANTM. Even the plus size cycle had girls who were darn near average weight. Yes, I'm sure plus size people work in the studio, editing, etc, but it's unrealistic to say that big people are employed 100% across the board.
its a proven fact that being obese is incredibly unhealthy and can lead to diabetes/heart attack. Rather than fight this and say you are proud to be "fat" you should really be getting yourselves back in shape and trying to live a more healthy balanced lifestyle for your friends and family
There isn't anything wrong with being fat as long as you are ok with it. Like, I don't feel thin people have a right to tell someone who is overweight that they are wrong. It has to do with the fact that most of these countries it processed foods loaded with MSG, preservatives, high fructose corn syrup (which I consider to be a drug), these people are literally addicted to food additives. @MultiBibi32 I found that my turning point in my weight loss journey was when I finally was comfortable with my body. I was able to lose 40 pounds, and I am still comfortable with my body, and I am at a normal weight. Tyra lost weight because she was confident in herself and her body and could embrace whoever or whatever she was and what she looked like.

Size does matter. I don't like working with fat people (and by fat I mean fat). They move slower, they are always in the way, and everything always takes twice as long to get done as opposed to when working with a person with a healthy weight.

People who call other people (ones who criticize fat people) assholes are actually causing more harm than the "assholes". While in the short term the fat person may not feel bad about themselves, in the long run they'll have LOADS of health problems. I agree, seeing really skinny good looking people is sort of discouraging but it's a fact that skinny and normal weight people are more energetic than fat people. I used to be fat and as soon as I took up horse riding and hockey I dropped loads of weight and now I'm normal- not skinny but normal :)

We have to be honest here though, they wouldn't put someone the cousin's size on ANTM. Even the plus size cycle had girls who were darn near average weight. Yes, I'm sure plus size people work in the studio, editing, etc, but it's unrealistic to say that big people are employed 100% across the board.

There isn't anything wrong with being fat as long as you are ok with it. Like, I don't feel thin people have a right to tell someone who is overweight that they are wrong. @MultiBibi32 I found that my turning point in my weight loss journey was when I finally was comfortable with my body. I was able to lose 40 pounds, and I am still comfortable with my body, and I am at a normal weight. Tyra lost weight because she was confident in herself and her body and could embrace whoever or whatever she was and what she looked like.

Size does matter. I don't like working with fat people (and by fat I mean fat). They move slower, they are always in the way, and everything always takes twice as long to get done as opposed to when working with a person with a healthy weight.
Fat people should not be told that it is okay to be fat or that they should be comfortable with being fat. This country's preoccupation with self esteem is harmful, maybe it is a good thing if fat people feel bad about themselves; it leads to improvement.

I agree, seeing really skinny good looking people is sort of discouraging but it's a fact that skinny and normal weight people are more energetic than fat people. I used to be fat and as soon as I took up horse riding and hockey I dropped loads of weight and now I'm normal- not skinny but normal :)

@sage6o4 actually...women end up gaining alot during pregnancy because they sometimes eat alot during pregnancy. And after the baby arrives it gets hard to lose the weight. But i guess you dont know that since you have not experienced that.

The excuses ppl give themselves2 talk about ppl's weight.... sad. Nikki IS right; but she can't be "hurtful" about it is what Tyra was saying. It's all in the way you say things, you say it to "encourage" not to hurt people. On the other hand fat is not healthy and something should be done to BE HEALTHY not necessarly skinny, but on your way to "getting there" love yourself.

"Happy within" is a bit of an abstract concept. Maybe you personally are not attracted to fat people and/or don't want to be fat, and that's fine. But it's not fine to say that fat people cannot be beautiful or proud of their bodies. @anastasialovin Sure some people are more plump, curvy or bulky than others....that's fine. But obesity is NOT a natural state of the human body or any animal body. It's a product of the modern western lifestyle, and it really is negligence of the human body. Now on the superficial side, MOST people think it's unattractive. There are a minority who are only attracted to fat people....hence the term "fat fetish". Now if this was normal and common, it wouldn't be called a "fetish" now would it?
