  • @losthills Thanks for listening! I'm trying to be a little more patient to get things better before I post these days. I'm still jealous of all you live players; I got to give that a try one of these days. I haven't performed live since about 1994.

  • Sweet! I like it!

  • @NickJWeaver Hi Nick, Thanks for listening!

  • I like the groove, the harmonies, and the four "real" girls dancing.... the others are just scary. I may be wrong but I think that was your message. So, I say, well done. Thanks. Youtube can use an artistic approach like this.

  • @archtopbrownie Thanks for listening, Lance. Yeah, its suppose to be about shallowness and high drama I guess. Thanks for the cool comment.

  • Boo!

I was away for awhile for health reasons but am back and was happy to find this in my queue. Now I feel better.

  • That's a great song, and your wife did a great job on the backdrop. I love the reggae beat and the interlude (dancing omgosh!) Really enjoyed this Dan!

  • @BluesMamaRaven Thanks for stopping by, Raven. Yeah, my wife is a pretty clever artist. I thought it was a cool gift too, instead of a stupid neck tie or something.

  • @Babungus Thanks for listening. I really appreciate you checkin it out.

  • Kinda scary knowing that there really are people like this (shudders)

Dan, you are a man of many talents but I wouldn't have guessed Psychoanalyst too great beats, great styling....ahhh, who are all of your models? (just kidding)

    Aloha,

    Thomas

  • @kiaweking Thanks for listening, Thomas. It wasn't hard to find models. It turns out the internet is full of girls taking pictures of themselves dancing and putting on make-up. Believe it or not, I even know where I can get some footage if I right a song about opening a can o' whoop ass :)

  • Brilliant stuff Fog,,impressed!!!!!!!!!! 5 of the best

  • @paddyRYAN1367 Thanks for stopping by, paddy. You know, I think you're one of my longest standing youtube friends. I'm glad you dig my stuff enough that you keep coming around.

  • @dmio2 your a great musician and your tunes have funk and soul,,,i rekon that excuse enough, lol

  • I love the reggae beat! Your 'band' do a great job with it :))

Very relevant lyrics and the visuals are top class with your usual quirky humour.

Great job Dan and belated happy birthday! Don't worry you're a young one compared to me :)

  • @ljped Thanks for listening, Jack. I sure feel like there is no one older them me; I guess I need a vitamin or something. I hope all is well with you and the boys... looking forward to your next jam. Its cool that you have friends... I have to clone myself lol.

  • I was overwhelmed by one of you, now your twin -- OFG. Cool backdrop too! Love the vocal.

  • @edro333 Thanks for checking it out! You'd think that working with one's twin would be easy, but the family dynamics sometimes cause us trouble. No fist fights yet, thankfully.

  • hi Dan. i'm impressed with the amount of focus you must have, not to mention, fertile imagination, to create something this intircate to sustain such a simple message. your visual choices are very appropriate to the subject while also being quirky and smile worthy. (enjoyed the examples of how she dances). i am also pleased to see that you only ALMOST overplay the bass. your left hand is obviously in familiar territory. going for the reggae was another cool choice. fine work, peace, chuck.

  • @chuxtrux Thanks for listening, Chuck. I guess you caught on that I'm primarily a bass player. I play enough guitar to make my compositions work, but most of my tunes are driven by the bass. I appreciate that you take the time to listen to my stuff. Rock on!

  • Nice Stuff Man!! The guy on the bass was good Too!!...LOL!!!

  • @carlguage Thanks for listening! but that jerk bass player doesn't need anymore ego boosts.

  • @Hippie1944 Thanks for checking it out!

  • This is awesome Dan! What a terrific groove, and your wife did such a cool job with the banner!! Perfect! Popping in my fav's! *****

  • @Cameragirl803 Thanks for listening, Jane, and the cool comment; its always a honor to get fav'ed. My wife is pretty clever with art stuff; its cool she even thought of something like this.

  • Nice work Dan! Really cool song and vid!

  • @townstra Hi Tracy, thanks for checking it out!

  • i like this song, its funny, but yet ...honest. i like the middle part when you say 'she walks like this"....

  • @mettanc Thanks for listening, Michael. I can always count on you to stop by. I actually wrote this song when I was in graduate school. Its suppose to illustrate histrionic personality disorder. I had a professor who was facinated by my history as a musician.

  • cool song

well beauty is but skin deep

it does not mean pretty people are worse or better

  • @7lizet Thanks for listening, Lizet. The tune is suppose to be more about shallowness then beauty. Don't worry, I don't judge you for your good looks :)

  • @dmio2

    hahahaha

    I consider it a compliment ;-)))

  • First of all, I want a SG! Secondly, the guitarist makes this band in my opinion, although the bass dude probably gets all the chicks. Diggin the FOG banner and the "Do you like my everythings?"

  • @experimentalrock Yeah, this band has complicated dynamics; the bass player is pretty full of himself. I'm not surprised you need an SG, you are a little short of guitars. My wife made the FOG banner for my 52nd birthday a few days ago... its a lot better then my disheveled "studio."

  • @dmio2 Happy Birthday you old fart!

  • @experimentalrock Thanks. Yeh, I'm a geezer fer sure.

  • Nice! I like the lyrics. I still think that bass is so cool and sounds great. LOL - the bridge is crazy. Your mix is nice and clean and those drums sound really clear. Well done!

  • @Bass734 Thanks for checking it out. That bass project was a lot of fun for me; I figured you might be one who would appreciate it. Rock on!

  • Dan the clone, Oh no! Good stuff!

  • @jgbeck100 Thanks for listening. It turns out I'm really hard to work with, so cloning was really the only answer.

  • cool '92 SG!!!

  • too many out there like her....good song

  • @tps607 Thanks for listening!

  • (nooktoober--otherwise known the guitar player in your Saturday band) Nice work Dan! You and your doppleganger crack me up......

  • @nuketoober Thanks for checking it out. btw, you're a lot easier to work with then the jerk guitar player I have in this band (although he does have a pretty cool '92 SG now)

  • "...She bow before the mirror..." It say's it all already there lol! But real cool text and humour of it all with the wild cow bell and wistle dance-o-thon ha ha! Love the choice of image and editing. Hey excellent reggae man yah maan;-)

  • @Boucrate Thanks for listening, brother. But I know it's you who has the really cool dance moves :)

  • good stuff!! Thumbs Up!

  • @chickiesgrettagirl Thanks for listening!

  • "Pretty is as pretty does" ... Looks are great if all you want to do is look at a person but eventually you'll have to talk to them -- heheh ... nice tune, Mark -- I like reggae but I like ska more -- so speed it up -- lol.

  • @liz1060 Thanks for listening, Liz. (mental note: next time 120bpm)

  • You and your twin do an excellent job on this (mysteries of high-tech videography confound me...)

    Great song!

  • @cadwalladee Thanks for listening! My wife bought me some new software for Christmas, so I've been trying to do some different stuff; but my brain is getting tired of learning new things lol.

  • Hey Dan

Very nice, that's cool reggae for sure, that song would certainly go down well in clubs by me, they're all UB40 fans. Great lyrics, you're right mate, some people are only interested in how they look.

Great arrangement, playing and vocals, brilliant!!!!

    Best wishes

    Mark :)

  • @oldstrat1 Thanks for listening and the cool comment, Mark. I dig the way reggae makes people move.

  • This is awesome!! I love the conga breakdown!! I also love the message in this song. When you look into her heart, there's nothing there to greet ya.

  • @karryn13 Thanks for listening, Karryn. "My momma always told me it's what's on the inside that counts" (recognize that line lol)
