I think this game doesn't deserve all the hate. The ''fans'' complain about the physics being different, music being bad and the game being too easy. But really, they are just looking for an excuse to hate the game. Just because the game plays differently doesn't mean it's bad, and even the Classic ones were easy. For me, Sonic's fully back on track. This, Colours and Generations were great fun. It's something most fans seem to forget about: that the games actually ARE fun. Keep it up, SEGA!

i got all the chaos emeralds for this game and i must say super sonic is not fast as the super sonic in the classic sonic games series but he still can jump higher than normal but i must say why the hell sega have cut the game into episodes?

@Ozzzie968 Sonic 2006 wasn't all that bad when you got the hang of it, but there were glitches in the game as well, however only a bit more than the Adventure series. 2006 is actually my 3rd favorite Sonic game, behind Shadow and Heroes, but it only got to be half it's potential because it was rushed.

hey, the over load of new characters on sonic was what killed it eventually. if we want the games to stop sucking, then sega will have to revert back to what made the people love it all in the first place- a little simplicity.
i think that the only reason this was made was to make us forget about the fan remake of sonic 1 using a freeware 3d game engine and how sega shut down the project because they were not getting money outta it

hey, the over load of new characters on sonic was what killed it eventually. if we want the games to stop sucking, then sega will have to revert back to what made the people love it all in the first place- a little simplicity.

Oh SEGA, you sneak you. Hoping to cash in on the nostalgia factor are we? Because that's not been done with every other classic gaming franchise...
Can't say I'm looking forward to playing this when I get around to buying it. I think riding on the back of nostalgia to reboot a downhill series isn't really fan-service. Every person who played the "old school" Sonic games knows that it's just a desperate attempt to make sure Sonic hits the ground running this time around.

@SuperAwesomeTiago Do you even know what a graphic is? Sonic is 80% about graphics. 16-BIT! The backgrounds, the themes, the enemies, the bosses. How they look is made up of graphics. The whole theme of the game is made up of graphics (and music).
I'm sick of retards thinking Graphics = Photorealism.
Oh and this game, Sonic 4, is fucking ugly. Some of the worst music I've ever heard in a video game. Physics work like Sonic rush.

@Saryakan Well yea and I can tell you it was far linier than the new sonics and yes it wasnt fast, BUT you forget sonic 1 was not a sega release package, they gave AWAY sonic two with the sega games system this is what made sonic so popular and started his franchis and also if you notice this is where they added his playable super form and the ground spinning move this is why we remeber these features within sonic because the game most people played first was the fatser sonic 2 :) and tails lol

@neilss1 Well, as a Sega Genesis I, II, and III owner (or Mega Drive, if you prefer), the Sonic 2 become my favorite game ever. And, looking at Sonic 4, I can't say it's "slower" than the Genesis Sonic. It's almost in the same range.

@SpartanUnDead man i remember when i first got the genesis i use to glitch in the 2nd act stage 1... you could end up going too fast and you end up freezing the game. sonic 2 was legendary in my book. i never got around to beating it as a kid although i did get pretty fuckin far.
