  • 2:10

  • i tried to follow thurston out of a record store once. he didn't think it was cute

  • one of the best musician, song writers, whatever you want to call it... EVER! Long live thurston moore

  • Melt away music. Genius.

  • pretty much how i imagined the atmosphere in his home would be. a few books and some obscure doll sitting on a pink shelf, charcoal drawings hanging on the wall, incredible music being created with the sounds of sirens and the city in the background. oh so good

  • Good Drake's soul's around here...

  • @5:00 can here ambulance or cop car in backnoise. :)

  • I wonder what kind of pickup he's using?

  • hermoso,hermosa musica hace Thurston!!!!

  • I found the tunning for this one. It is Eflat – Bflat – D – F – Bflat – C. Now if someone could help figure out the chords, we should be up and running!!

  • is the guitar in the second song a GS Mini?

  • @jkfilms7 It did indeed. Good observation.

  • Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth !!!

  • Beautiful music and cool production, props to lablogotheque

  • I love his album, I love this music...

  • 0:19 Glenn Branca, Lesson #1

  • Very cool!! :)

  • Is it me, or did that siren outside go perfectly with the song?

  • @Jkfilms7 You read my mind.

  • It runs on.my goodness.rosin dusts.nice

  • this guy's style influences mine so much i sometimes wonder if i was him in another life...or this life

  • Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed You! Black Emperor or Mogwai next!

  • Yea. always loved how the acoustic work he does always has such a spacious sound from open strings incorporated in the chord progression.. you see him in the vid only fretting half the neck on some chords, and strumming all 6 strings for most chords to get as many open strings as possible

  • Man, one of my dreams is to be on a take away show... Someday LaBlogoteque! Someday, maybe.

  • tabs for benediction? anyone?

  • Magnifique comme d'habitude!

  • 8:43 for benediction

  • I love this

  • does this remind anyone else of lou reed?

  • magnífico...

  • Oh please Moore, teach me how to play the guitar.

  • The shots of NYC are genius, everything's really well filmed here, thanks.

  • its a shame la blogotheque has such great artists perform for them, their videos are always so mind--numbingly boring

  • @daloc22 I like their old video's. from the time vincent moon made them. he has a great eye and I like his atmosphere, the whole playing in weird places on the street, or and elevator or so. go back to those. Plus: why make video's with big flashing lights, it takes the thought off the music.

  • What model Taylor acoustic is he playing on Benediction?

  • @202pdiddy Almost positive it's a Taylor 114. Sorry I'm a guitar geek.

  • @202pdiddy 214 i have one EEK

  • @MikeWoahMusic Nah. The 6 string guitar he's playing here has unpolished sapele sides and back; you can see this clearly at approx 11:20 in the video. The 214 has rosewood sides and back. So it's a 114.

  • @202pdiddy its either a Taylor 114 or 214

  • Police siren in the background = perfect coincidental addition

  • Whale Incoming! 7:58

  • WHAT!?!? I never even considered the possibility of Thurston Moore on LaBlogoteque. Yeah!

  • i like the way the siren in the background adds to the tension in the song

  • @punkrockerRHCP80 same here

  • @punkrockerRHCP80 music so good it spontaneously melds unexpected environmental noises into its beauty...

  • yes yes yes

  • Holly Jesus!!!! What an amazing video!! and also the song!!! and the police siren was on tune!!! incredble!!!!

  • Wooooow ..ready ... ready...ready...yep! Fantastic guitar and violin....and the footage just fits.

  • La Blogothèque c'est français à la base, pourquoi n'y a t'il pas de sous-titres ?

  • Pretty good or just great...

    P.S.

You should change the title of the video to "Blood never lies/Benediction", that's the right order.

  • This guy sounds like Robin Pecknold when he talks. What a collaboration that'd be. Lovely video.

  • Comment removed

  • the production on all of these videos are so brilliant.

  • this is just fucking amazing, fucking amazing, fucking amazing.

  • street noises in the background are beauty

  • Found that violin most of the time...annoying.

  • @taila1976 Me too, could have done without the violin.

  • anybody else notice the siren that went perfectly with the music in the background?

  • @qousie YES! It almost sounds on purpose...

  • @ftp76 i thought it was the violin or something at first. then i realized that it was just fate xD

  • awesome

  • great video, and great performance. i loved this album.

  • Skip to 2:15 for actual music.

  • moving
