  • the most mystical music chopin ever wrote is hidden in the B section of this etude

  • Ultimate Chopin Interpreter.

  • J'aurais tout donné pour être née du temps de son vivant... et dire que je l'ai loupé de peu... rrrrah.

Et cette étude de Chopin est proprement sublime.

  • I want to SEE Mr. Cziffra playing Chopin's Op.10 & 25 etudes LIVE!! But... I have no chances anymore :(

  • @felix0911176727 which sucks so much :((

  • Cziffra is so good whenever he plays Chopin or Liszt. I remember my mother liked him very much and would always listen to his version of the Hungarian Rhapsodies. Now I understand why.

  • He is not afraid of breaking the rules to make it alive. With that kind of sensitivity he can't reach everybodys heart in cold times like we have today.

Cziffra is a genius. We all can see the centre of the target after his hits. A talent strikes the targets wich we all have known before. Thats the difference. Thanks to everybody who made Cziffra possible and that he was born in times of recording.

  • @barakjoe And you're certainly not afraid of posting this generic comment on every video of Cziffra you can get your hands on, so as to make sure you reach everybody's eyes...

  • BEST PIANIST EVER

  • I love how Cziffra always gets the texture right - in this case, ranging from sandpaper to velvet! And yet, he does it seamlessly with his intuitive understanding of stucture!

  • followed by the awakening from the dream, the minors coming back with a vengeance. self-mockery. wrapping it all up with the crazy MAJOR climax, bringing home the ruthless pragmatism and tamping down of runaway emotion, but touching it all with a hope for redemption when it's all over.

    ashkenazy does it best.

  • the only performance i've heard on youtube thus far that almost gets it right. the desultory bitterness and cynicism is there in the minor seconds. the jaded, low-level musings of an intimidating, crotchedy professor with a mean reputation. but he carries it through into the piu lento, and ideally - you'd have the almost jekyll & hyde juxtaposition of an involuntary slippage into nostalgic tenderness. a terrible and beautiful wave.

  • @boojum22 You should listen to Horowitz's interpretation. Unfortunately, I could not find it on Youtube ....

  • Yet another amazing interpretation from this man.

  • I like it so much, thanks!!

  • Merveilleuse main gauche!!!pas de chichis romantiques avec des pianissimi exagérés,non, une main gauche qui chante sans aucune faille,-pour moi c'est le bonheur suprême,absolu du cantabile.

  • Excellent! Thank you!
