  • maan, life is short.. its just like yesterday i saw this game on arcade @_@.. im getting old

  • Pai is so cute ;) But what does she say at her victory pose?

  • @yaronx translated as "You're Kung Fu isn't enough!"

  • Can anyone tell me the problem? I used to play a downloaded version of Virtua Fighter 2, so there's no music. But I recently went to the store to get a copy. I uninstalled the current one, and installed the new one straight off the disk, now it STILL has no music. Help me please. I really want to play it with the music. I activated a few virtual drives while installing, but I installed it from my actual CD drive (if it helps)

  • @GerardsWork

    1. Check if your copy of Virtua Fighter actually contains CD-Audio. Try your stereo or stand-alone dvd player for instance.

    2. Check if your PC is properly configured to play CD-Audio (Put in a pure Audio-CD and see if it works).

    3. There is a bug in Windows regarding CD-Audio. If you have multiple CD drives - regardless of being virtual or non-virtual - CD-Audio will only be played if the disc is put in your FIRST optical disc drive, e.g. D:\ before E:\, at least for DirectX-apps.

  • @IlhanK hi i think i know how to solve the problem. I need to know what media player you use.

  • I really like to play this game again.. i am really itching to do it when I hear the sound of the hits that 'dch'-sound dunno how to explain it.... what a pity we don't have VF1 and 2 anymore...

  • Oh my...my first fighting game for PC (well...my first game whit the Rouge Squadron and the Shadow of the Empire) the Virtua Figter. I love. My favorite is the Tekken, but I love this game!

  • This is the Windows 95 port, right? Is it difficult to run on modern hardware?

    P.S. Pai kicks ass!

  • @BalancedSpirit79 The Direct3D-Exe requires desktop colors set to 16-Bit but other than that it runs nicely on modern systems. I used Windows 6 64-Bit with a GTX 460.

Virtua Fighter 1 on the other hand does have some issues, the framerate fluctuates and I was unable to resolve that.

  • @IlhanK Hm, interesting...thanks for the info!

  • @IlhanK hi what did the box look like for this came because there are other versions

  • @GokuThe80sMan

    It looked like this:

    onlinegamesdatenbank (dot) de/index (dot) php?section=game&gameid=4351

  • @IlhanK thanks mate oh and will it work on windows xp

  • @GokuThe80sMan

yeah this game runs pretty well on windows xp, it runs even on windows 7. you have to switch to 16-bit colour mode though for direct3d-mode. set the setup.exe to win95-compatibility otherwise installation will abort.

  • @IlhanK okay thanks it doesnt matter now i bought the one especially made for xp a 2007 release

  • @IlhanK oh and do you have to install direct x 5 and will that arace the direct x i have now

  • @GokuThe80sMan

No, do not try to DirectX5 on WinXP or Win7. Wouldn't work anyway. The game works fine with DirectX9/10/11

  • @IlhanK hi how did you get it to have music

  • @GokuThe80sMan

The game-CD needs to be in the your first optical disc drive, otherwise CD-Audio wont play.

If you use a virtual drive then change the drive letter to a lower value than your real disc drive.

  • @IlhanK hi i did that but it didnt work =(

  • @IlhanK hi im back i think i know the problem i think i have a bad version for pc because the one i bought is in a different box from the other two versions and there wasnt even a version of that one on ebay so i have one more question did your box for the game have a picture of akira fighting wolf? Or did it say xplosiv on it? thanks for all your help and sorry for bugging you so much.

  • @IlhanK so how would sound work or could you tell me all the options
