are you talking about the guy that is beheaded after the battle of panipat, if so, it is not his father it was one of the big hindu kings that, was beheaded, and they did it because he would not submit to mughal rule.

basic breakdown is. the marriage between a mogual (muslim) emporer and a rajput (hindu) princess. the love that grows after their marriage and the ups and downs of their early life together. there is some debate however as to weither or not jodhaa was really a wife of jalaludin akbar. but that really has nothing to do with the movie.  i'd say the movie was about 70% historical and about 30% artistic license. let me know if you want to know more.. this movie is of a great emperor called akbar .after the death of his father humaun the was on the crown of delhi.he was anly 13 years old when he was coronated.akbar almost took the whole india under 1 administration.he was really great
