@theeroom yes, that is exactly what I was going for. When I do a cover of a song my goal is to sound just like the song. The reason I began doing this was to try and teach myself audio engineering. Trying to copy the songs helps me figure out recording techniques. Also trying to sing exactly like boyd or whoever I'm covering helps me pick up on some of the vocal techniques they use. I learn by studying others.
