The late, great RL Burnside was a classic example of North Mississippi hill country blues. It's an area where to this day there are a number of modest black farmers whose families have owned their land for over a century. In his last few albums RL actually integrated some Hip Hop elements into his blues sound which made for an interesting fusion sound. Maybe to humor his rambunctious grandson LOL. This GREAT man will be sorely missed!!
