i saw her in concert last year and she sang this song. I HAD NEVER REALLY PAID ATTENTION TO IT BEFORE THEN; and and it TOUCHED a heart string as she sang it. She was almost to the point of tears and i looked down the row & ALL AROUND ME IN MY SECTION and EVERYONE was standing and crying or had tears in their eyes. HOW CAN A SONG AFFECT THOUSANDS OF RANDOM STRANGERS ALL IN THE SAME WAY like that and it not be a GIFT FROM GOD?

I think people need to get over the NAME of the song and concerntrate on the meaning of the song and how it sounds and how beautifully she sings with all her emotions.

You're missing the point, though. this isn't the same song. at all. the chords, melody, none of it are remotely similar to the song that preceded it by 70 years. the only thing that is the same is the title. it has nothing to do with "keeping the song alive" because it has nothing to do with the song. "Prelude to a kiss." yes, it sounds like an alright song as far as pop music is concerned, but it's beyond me why she plagiarized the title.
