  • i went to high school with the bassist from gaslight anthem and it gives me hope to see someone from my shitty little town make it as far as he has

  • I am so proud of Agony and Irony.

  • That tour was my first show. Its where I fell in love with all four bands,

  • Skiba bless Matt Skiba.

  • I think I would have cut off my arm to go to a Gaslight Anthem, Thrice, Alkaline Trio, Rse Against - Show. Oh my god!

  • @ssoorrcc only 2 of those bands are good

  • @keir193 alkaline trio & Gaslight Anthem kick ass! Rise against= sell outs

  • matt skibas new side band The Hell

  • Yo this isn't fucking fair. I'm from New York and I moved to Argentina about 4 years ago and I haven't gone to a Trio show since and it breaks my heart. Why the fuck won't Alkaline Trio go worldwide and get the fuck over here, sdflknsfdlkn it makes me so so so so so sad. :( I've loved them forever :( :(

  • Matt talking about Gaslight, my two favourites. I'd love to see them together!

  • I can't not see where it says "Dead to Me" on the wall behind that guy.

  • people inflating eachother in the corner?

  • This guy is the cat's meow! I hope they come back to Boise, they put on a great show! Cheers, Alkaline Trio!!!

  • Skiba is a cool dude

  • the chicago music scene has just been getting better and better, but their so under rated. Matt Skiba is my hero!

  • The only songs in "Agony & Irony" that I like are: "Help me", "Over and out", "Love, love, kiss, kiss" and "Lost and Rendered". I don't care too much about the acoustic versions of some songs that were included in the Deluxe version.

  • Agony & Irony isnt that great TBH i would rather listen to private eye everyday of my life

  • @cavan132 agreed

  • why wasnt i born in the 70's?! :(

  • Hottest man on earth.

  • so where is he living now?? i know he left the bay area

  • He's so damn cute.

  • his hair... -giggle-

  • so cool

  • another heavens record?

  • no they broke up.

  • thank god. you hear that the new alkaline trio cd is gonna be darker?

  • it better be... i really don't like the new album. it's grown on me a little but i still don't really like it at all.

  • u are a fucking fag then cuz thats the dankest shit i have ever listined to i cant stop listining to it

  • if you listened to them before they were as famous as they are now you would completely agree with me.

  • ya i have been listing to them since god damn it

  • well i guess everyone has their own opinions on what's good. i'm just saying, i don't personally like their new album. i think it's overcomplicated compared to what they used to be about. they are using special affects and auto tune and i think it's just too much. it's not as DIY punk sounding... if you think this overproduced genre is good then that's completely up to you. i'm not arguing.

  • I know what you mean, previously jerry finn had produced a lot of their records and I think he is responsible for so much of making the punk rock scene better of the last 15 years or so. over here in the uk, most bands have lots of synth crap and call themselves pop punk and personally i want to start a hardcore punk band and eventually release our own records etc etc.

  • the only problem with that is that yougotta let trends die out before you can come in with your own trend. like if it's the prime of the poppunk shit people are going to say that hardcore punk is gay, and only a select few would listen to you. its just how entertainment works. frankly all these really famous artists just were in the right place at the right time, they found their connections and earned a living. to try to revolutionize something is near impossible, it almost happens on accident.

  • i disagree, my local scene is so supportive and i've played in bands before from that scene. the rule of thumb for me is not gigging till you're completely ready and having good songs and playing them really tightly as a band

  • yeah that's true, that's just about being a professional musician. but to be completely revolutionary and shit and changing the scene it takes more than just a good band, it's good connections and luck that get these guys famous. look at the jonas brothers; not horrible music, but it's all about the connections that got them this famous.

  • @s3xyb3astsixty9 no, the jonas brothers are horrible

  • yes they are. but i was talking about alkaline trio.

  • @s3xyb3astsixty9 oh, i got you, the little semi colon.

  • I love that man.

  • Skibers what a legend

  • hell yeah matt skiba is fucking awesome, id love to meet him just once and tell him how much i respect him
