  • it is water resistant, not water proof.

  • is there a way to enter your weight and height?

  • @Slycooper2456 you can enter your weight & height on the Nike Plus connect software that you install to your Computer. That's how it tracks your calories burned you input your sex, age, height, & weight.

  • Thanx dude:)

  • You do not need a Nike+ shoe pod! You can turn that function off and use strictly just gps..if you do not like the Nike+ shoes like I don't..love it

  • how does it work at tracks with laps?

    running many laps?

does it tell you how many laps you run?

  • @Atomicx938 you can set the laps by a set distance or you can tap the watch to record laps. I used this this feature to often, I do know the auto lap feature when you set it for a certain distance does work well though. Not to sure how well the tap function works.

  • @DBESS hey nice vid// i got one question how much time does the battery last until it needs to be recharged

  • @raamby505 I use the watch as my everyday watch I might have to recharge maybe once a week. the longest I've ran with it is a little over 4 hours & the battery wasn't even half way drained afterwards.

  • Hi, necessary to always use the sensor nike? or with the clock it is sufficient?

  • i know this is super late but thank u cuz i still did not kno that n i wasnt going to wet it jus to try lol thanx again

  • Will this work with the regular polar strap? I have the one that came with the polar watch.

  • hey i just order 1. i notice u reply fast. please comment and let me kno if it starts and stops for each run by it self?.. also do u need the sensor? does it make it more accurate with shoe sensor? oh and is it water resistant. i run in any weather so i need to kno. help me out please

  • @BAMBAMP4P it does not auto start or stop but it's simple enough it's just the push of 1 button. It does not need the senor if you run out doors, but Nike says it helps with accuracy if you lose GPS signal & it's water resistant meaning it can get wet, but no "deep see diving"

  • What kind of heart rate device are you using?

  • does it have a alarm clock?

  • @jrmusante1 it doesn't have an alarm clock but I have heard rumors that through firmware updates more features can & might be added in the future.

  • good review. im hyped but out of stock. i do have a question for you. should i assume my old nike heart rate strap would be compatible with this? any ideas on how long the batteries last? i heard you could only charge the battery from the usb?

  • @jcc2150 Your Nike+ Polar HRM will work with it. The battery last fine for my runs I haven't ran any marathons but I have ran for 4hrs straight before & it wasn't even half afterwards.

  • It's a running watch calm down. LOL qotd

  • water resistant not water proof!

  • Does Not work with Mac OS 10.6.7 at this time! Other then that it works no problem!

  • Good video. I live in Columbus as well and will test mine (just arrived today) at flat rock park. So i need to sync it with my Mac prior to my run? Thanks again for the video.

  • @koss9 yes you have to install the update, also a lot of people are reporting issues with there Mac's not detecting their SportsWatch so verify that before you take off running. Also Add me on #NikePlus website name is DBESS340 on there.

  • @fiftycentout its water resistant!

  • Comment removed

  • @fiftycentout yes there is. You just tap the screen & it lights up.

  • I know the watch came with the Nike sensor but did it come with the usb to connect into the iPod to set it up?

  • @3wademiami the Nike Watch doesn't work with iPod's. The watch does come with a USB plug for the computer though to upload & set up purposes.

  • what's the sensor for?

  • Does Nike have any intention to upgrade the Nike+ SportWatch GPS and give running cadence (steps/strides per minute)? I think it's a shame it wasn't included right now since that info is already available when you are wearing a shoe sensor. Some Polar and Garmin models are already offering that feature. It is ver useful to know if you want to improve your form (more than heart rate).

  • @heathmoor You'd have to ask NIKE

  • get a garmin forerunner 305, 50% cheaper as it comes with heart rate monitor chest strap in the box.

  • @hodsgod garmin's are cool but nothing out right now beats the Nike+ Community

  • do you have to have the shoe sensor in to get accurate results?

can you use the watch with just GPS?

  • @Augmen1 the shoe sensor helps you get more accurate results. It primarily serves as a back up incase GPS signal is lost during the run. It also servers as a means for a quick start function, so you can start running before your watch actually finds a GPS signal which so far I have had no problem doing to say the least.

  • Is it possible to load training programs on the watch so you actually have insights while you run according to your goals?

  • @MickaelPinto the only thing you can load on this watch as of right now is the ability to add intervals & laps. You have to manually input your interval data and you can do auto laps at a certain distance or you can tap the watch to count laps if you so desire too.

  • woof

  • this watch comes with shoe and heart rate sensors?

  • @bmstuman it only comes with the Shoe Sensor. The Heart Rate monitor is sold separate.

  • The only comment that I have. The watch is listed as water proof. You have the definition backwards. Water proof means that it can be submerged in water, where water resistant is more that rain and sweat won't bother it.

  • @wilhelre thanks for the correction. I did use the wrong verbiage.

  • Awesome review! Informative, great job

  • @AlexPulariya Thank You!

  • wait do u still need the nike sensor for this because i dont like nike+ shoes

  • @skllz415 you don't need the sensor it servers as a back up incase you lose GPS signal.

  • @skllz415

You don't need those shoes, you can find in the market specifically-deigned soft cases to carry the shoe sensor attached to your foot. I even run with it barefoot. I hold that pocket to my ankle with a Velcro strap, but you can also attach to your shoe with its lace or Velcro strap (e.g., VFFs).

  • Got mine yesterday too here in the UK! Smart unit and will prove a great tool in my quest to get fit again. Good to know it syncs pretty quick! Cheers for the upload!

  • Nice review. Thanks. I think I need to treat myself.

  • I gotta get me one!!!!
