this show sucks. they put the weapons in the stupidest classes. ex. winchester rifle vs a pineapple bomb for long range. plus they didn't even give the SS the MP44 or Luger pistol. they also made the IRA use a slingshot and the Green Berets use their Etool as a weapon.
I must admit even after all the horridness that this show is I still catch it more or less just to admire the weapons. I must say I was quite disappointed because I thought to myself finally a show that is going to do their homework and be as spot on accurate as possible. As you can see from the shows that did not happen. They are about as authentic as the jackalope. It is worth watching sheerly for the pleasure of watching stuff get hacked to bits or blown to pieces and that's it

they can only measure weapon capabilities, not skill

this show sucks. they put the weapons in the stupidest classes. ex. winchester rifle vs a pineapple bomb for long range. plus they didn't even give the SS the MP44 or Luger pistol. they also made the IRA use a slingshot and the Green Berets use their Etool as a weapon.

I must admit even after all the horridness that this show is I still catch it more or less just to admire the weapons. I must say I was quite disappointed because I thought to myself finally a show that is going to do their homework and be as spot on accurate as possible. As you can see from the shows that did not happen. They are about as authentic as the jackalope. It is worth watching sheerly for the pleasure of watching stuff get hacked to bits or blown to pieces and that's it

You know how many times that happens in 'infotainment' shows, or even series etc.? (Shitty limit) My point being: I view this show not to inform myself but to amuse myself. It is as they advertise it themselves(or a network that broadcasts the show): "when you're drunk with your friends have you ever wondered who'd win: X or Y?" The majority of the people won't know the difference if every detail is correct or not and i don't think most people care.

But there are those little things that piss me off about the show, they claim to be scientists, so by definition they should do things for science in the most correct manner possible. For example, on the IRA vs. Taliban episode, they were demonstrating the reliability of the two rifles, the AR-16 and Ak-47 by dumping the two in mud. Turns out they completely faked it by switching out scenes and making it seem like the AK was more reliable....I mean what possible reason do they have for doing that? it pisses me off that these "scientists" dont stick to facts despite that fact that is there duty as scientists. You do realize that most Americans absolutely butcher Japanese words like ninja, karaoke, kamikaze, matsutake, honda, etc... right?
