  • cool. there was about 20 frames.

  • Lost Universe anime episode 4

  • does anyone know if this version aired on the International Channel.

  • animation part makes korean animetion studio...

  • This still looks miles better than Musashi Gun-dou or Valanoir.

  • これはひどい

    まさに電気紙芝居

  • LOST UNIVERSE O.o

  • speed racer is better animated than this xD

  • 0:52 the guy at the top right: herp a derp

  • patapata anime

  • not ... enough... frames urghhh....

  • the animator probably don't even have enough money to buy instant ramen.

  • OMG

There is like no absolutely no tweening whatsoever.

Talk about a super low frame rate.

I would have been very embarrassed to have my name in the credits.

  • Slideshow anime ftw

  • Is this for real?

  • @toratsubasa91 Anime.. Anime happened..

  • I...I remeber this show being so much better! What happened? :_;

  • 0:56 oh lord lol

  • (btw my scrotum is better animated)

  • 0:22 this anime briantly proves that 2 frames are enough for a running character

    why bother ?

    Take that, Walt Disney !

  • LOL at the 4 frames/seconds

reminds me the japan cartoons of my childhood

  • This is like reading a colored manga really fast

  • i could animate this better with mspaint....

  • Comment removed

  • the animation is flawless

  • So many epic frame skips, doesn't even deserve to be called anime.

    FAIL!!

  • The sad thing is this is the only badly animated episode in this anime, the studio was going through budget problems so they hired a Korean animation studio to make this episode, this episode is so bad that it's not considered canon and was replaced with a much better done episode for the DVD release.

  • Well, it still outclasses Finnish Digimon.

  • I love anime and this is by far some of the worst animation I have ever seen, Gigantor had better animation, and that came put only God knows when. I have seen stop motion animation that was better than this load of bull-crap.

  • To 1994chocolatemilk

    Gigantor came out in 1963

  • I stand by my word Lord. (LOL)

  • Oh. Wow.

  • This animation redifines the "OMG TWF is this" comment we've all read so much :)

  • The only other time I saw animation this bad was some random bear movie on Disney Channel years ago.

  • What the hell is this shit?

I mean, where does it come from?

  • JAPAN

  • FUCK! What's with the choppy, stiff animation?

  • Now THAT is some good animation.

  • lololol yeah makes the girls look hot

  • When episode one aired, the opening wasn't even completed yet and it actually had SD characters with signs holding up "UNDER CONSTRUCTION". Episode two and three, you can see signs that the Japanese key animators did their best in making refinements. But by episode four, all hell broke loose. Almost every scene had to be redone for the market release.

  • Yashigani:

    Yashigani:

Literally means „coconut crab, but in anime lingo it referes to episodes or whole anime that are so obviously low, bad and sub-standard in quality that its too painful to watch and not worthy of a TV release. The term yashigani comes from the fourth aired episode of "Lost Universe in April of 1998, which was titled "Yashigani Hofuru". The Korean animation studio was plagued from major lack of time and communication.

  • Actually, this episode was the result of outsourcing to a Korean animation studio.

  • Nice inbetweening

  • Its like they just colored in the storyboard...

  • wow, this must have had one of the largest budgets ever.

  • Your grammar is on my WTF list.

  • OMG i just died!!

  • holy wow

this is space gundam v-level genius

  • omg kill the animators

  • the animation is amazing

  • Geez, talk about lazy animators.

  • @Thosedamnhippies I think it's more of a lack of budget then laziness... that's just what I'm seeing.

Laziness is when you have all the money and time in the world to make something amazing... and you don't.

  • @hiyaanimation

The raw material for the first 4-5 episodes was burned in a studio fire, they outsorced to a korean company back in 1998 and this is what they got.
