Actually, contortion is quite popular in African culture, as much as in Europe and Asia. The USA is just now getting as serious about contortion as the rest of the world (thanks to the internet). Once African cultures start to become more exposed to the world on the net, I think we'll be seeing a lot more amazing African contortion talent.
