I'm born and bred in Barrow, and I love it here. We may be far out (known as the longest cul-de-sac in England) but we have beautiful scenery, 40 mins drive from the Lakes District, live by the sea, and the people are friendly (most of us are). :) I actually really missed Barrow when went to a residential college in Lancaster.
Thanks for sharing a glimpse of the town my mother was born. She left there at age five - many years ago - and never looked back! Looks like a lovely place to me.

The town has some beautiful Victorian architecture actually.......It's just some of the people.
