There are no real subliminal messages in the video, all of the power lies in the introduction where he talked up the video (which you edited out). If anyone was really stuck to their seats watching this, it only shows the power of suggestion.

However he made himself more suggestible which would help you absorb him saying

"you WILL get stuck to your seat"

When it shows the flash image of the tied man, your brain picks it up subconsciously and becomes confused and dazed and so it thinks it is a mirror image of yourself. This is helped by him saying

"Focus on the screen", directly before the image is flashed.

The spiraling lines is meant to confuse them into being more suggestible.

Not alwasy the case, peripheral visions is a greater use of the sesne as the more you focus on and concentrate on an objct the less you notice as you get tunnel vision, ssi why in martial arts among other things you are told to never focus on a weapon, be it a foot fist or a punch as it by focusin on it you cant see it move and thus cant react as fast, whereas if you focus at their face you can see and react faster to the weapon a lot quicker as you pick it up better as your not focussing on it
