  • Google "BCI" (Brain-Computer Interface); there's tons of stuff on how it works. Also lookup the following:

    ERP (Event-Related Potential)

    SSVEP (Steady-state Visual Evoked Potential)

    I did a project involving BCIs; it didn't work out as well as I'd hoped, but it taught me a lot about the human brain :-)
