  • Awesome. Thanks.

  • this was a awesome. after 20+ yrs of beating up on my guitars. never sure were i fall in the style that fits me best. I love Metal and i dig the blues, but after this track i feel this might be my strength. just playing very melodic over this track i lost myself and felt i was listing to someone else playing. thanx for posting : )

  • It doesn't matter what notes you hit. Just jam, feel the music! Practice the chromatic scale!

  • Thanks for the smooth jam!

  • THANK YOU. To newbies (like me) who have trouble purposefully jamming the chord tones: you can do Emin Bmin Amin Emin - you lose some of the subtlety, but you get to use only minor patterns, only three chords, and double thinking time on the Emin usage. Already feeling the theory sink in...

  • @TheMichaelFairhurst as much theory as i know, i barely use any. i memorized where my chords were in the C scale, and now i just move that accordingly to the key. its extremely easy and as long as you know the shaping of all the penatonic positions, its a breeze. just muscle memory :)

  • I like the bass

  • Every track is great!!!!!!

  • can't get enough!!

  • damn..I have no skin left on my fingers :D

  • thank you for an amazing hour. i looked like a total nerd while jamming my brains out.

  • terrific upbeat vibe to this - same sorta feel as "streetwalker" by jan akkerman ( btw check him out if you don;t know his stuff )

  • I have some idea's for this track. I really like it. I can jam to this all night.

  • Great !

  • this is excellent

  • I just had a musical orgasm.

  • I am about to download this track i really like this groove.

  • In other words..AWESOME!!

  • I almost fell asleep playing to this track..

  • wow, i just got a wah pedal and this was the first track i jammed to it on and it was GREAT!

  • great jamm sir

  • coolest!!

  • beatiful backing track

  • amazing, thank you...

  • Hey,, you complainers,, zip it, ok!?! There are many uses for these tracks, if you'd use your head for something more than a HAT RACK! GEEEZ! How's about when you're NOT able to rehearse with other musicians and you are a decent player yourself? Yeah,, that's just ONE use! I consider myself a good, and dedicated guitarist, and when I'm alone at home , or, away, here's a great band, ready and able to play ALL NIGHT! So,, zip it!!!

  • @geetarnut Your right Man. I always thought i had to play with a band in order to get better at playing. My teacher gave me some pointers on which scale to use. Now the ideas are flowing like a river.

  • These are some of the absolute BEST jam tracks around! Wonderfully composed, and so full,,, no holes or sterile stuff, thank you very much!

  • Great stuff really enjoyed that, cheers

  • Thanks for this reaction, you're right, life is far too short! I am promoting your music among my friends and nothing but positive jamming is going around in Germany, The Netherlands, Italy and Spain. Going international!

  • Come on now. Just enjoy!

  • @Santangelo5 I'm so glad there are people like you. Just-friggin-enjoy, or if you don't, let others enjoy without having to listen to bleeting. For me it's a case of using everything at your disposal, good jam tracks, drum machines, loop stations, like-minded friends with instruments, if you're lucky good musicians, and yes even karaoke tracks: I'm trying to learn bass and to help me learn to improvise I've downloaded a load of my favourites for melodies and simple improv. Life is too short!

  • That was the fastest 15 minutes of my life. Wow!

  • just for some ideas, what are the kind of scales we can use to jam over this track? Emin pentatonic/blues comes to mind, what else? thanks so much btw, amazing track.

  • @ramezk i would say G major all modes are fine aslong as you dont hang on any avoid notes, because this is not really jazz playing in the fact that the wrong notes arent as acceptable like standard jazz, so E blues, its kinda of a nice phrase if you can use B minor pentatonic with only a high blue note 'F' because the lower just isnt fitting in with the low end registry that well.

  • @ramezk You can use a Minor Pentatonic Scale. My teacher gave me some ideas on where to go with it.

  • JUST...............THANK YOU!

  • PERFECTO

  • The best backing track in all Youtube, thanks!!

  • I LOVE THIS TRACK!!!!

  • No likes, no dislikes....guess we are all too busy soloing.

  • awesome, i´ve subscribed!!

  • i just had the best jam of my life.period.

  • @TheThim51 This is a good track, but for the best jams, you really need to play with other musicians!

  • @howardsinclair And sometimes good musicians are very hard to find and you discover this highest level of jamming. Just enjoy this one.

  • @Santangelo5 Backing tracks might be useful for rehearsal purposes, but ultimately, it's just karaoke; which I don't enjoy, despite your commandment.

  • @howardsinclair Oh dear, you sound like a smurf! "I HATE jam tracks, papa smurf"! I think even most just-starting-out musicians get that live jamming is the the real way to learn to play in a band situation, but sometimes a good jam track is a good second best.

  • @hahabass Smurf? You're showing your age... Nothing wrong with jam tracks for rehearsing/learning. But ultimately, they're karaoke if musicians rely on them (especially in live situations) instead of working with other people. And karaoke's worse than second best.

  • @TheThim51 same here!

  • @TheThim51 you tooo!!!!!:D!

  • Hello friend,

Thank so much for creating this tube of Smooth Jazz...I love it! I am able now to jazz along with this groove and enjoy every minutes of time...

Can you tell me what kind of software used to generate the progression and back ground music?

I love to contribute to music society someday!

Have a great day and God bless you, my friend!

  • Produced by Jeff Carruthers from the Suite Grooves construction kit DVD

Jeff Carruthers: guitars, keys, drum programing

    Roberto Valley: bass

    Dave Hopper: live drums

    Hans Zermeuhlen: Rhodes

    Ronnie Guittierez: percussion

  • Wasn't aware this played for 15 minutes until the music stopped. Damn that shit was hot.

  • Awesome BT! Really cool vibe. Posted a video response, hopefully will be up soon, or see at my site.

Thanks for your work on these!

  • can someone link me to more tracks like these in E?

  • This was a great track =) i really love these long tracks where you can just sit back, relax and let your guitar do the talking.

  • Really nice tracks.

  • My Strat really appreciated ;)

  • I just think in the Gmaj key and play all the possible chords of the key and then add chromatic notes between scale tones.

  • Wow man, thanks for posting...love fingerstyle jazz fusion jamming along with this.

  • wow please post more like this.. this is awesome!!

  • this is so much beter than tv! After a long day at work, this is how to mellow out. thank you.

  • great track!

  • Great with E Dorian!

  • @hectorocampo12 ....the only problem with an E dorian scale in this situation, is that it contains a C# note which will clash with that Cmaj7 chord.. (at least that's what I'm finding.. to your ears it may sound ok)

I use the natural minor or pentatonic scale and then target the notes of each chord.

  • The basic chords for this track are Cmaj7 Bm7 Am7 Em7

  • @songwritinglessons thanks!

  • fantastic track..can you write the chord progression in your vid description please? I'd really appreciate this!
