So far the game offers me a bit of nostalgia for someone who enjoyed the original Silent Hill. But it's like Silent Hill, Resident Evil, CSI, XFiles, and Twin Peaks all had sex with each other in a hot tub, and this is their offspring (impossible as that may sound).

Honestly, just put it on the easy setting, and go to town with your pistol and its unlimited ammo. Just put aside the gameplay as much as you can, and you'll quickly find yourself warming up to this game. As for the graphics, not every game has to have awsome fucking graphics. Try playing the oldschool classics, then you can talk about if the graphics were interfering or not. This is a budget game, that is exceptional. For 20 bucks, it's easily worth what is paid, as compared to a $60.

@TheRasta9 I said the graphics and controls aren't the best. That isn't even close to what makes a game -.- The story is excellent, and the tension it builds is palpable. The storyline is done perfectly, having build ups, moments of action, and the sadly underestimated slow time that you need so you're not constantly wired. The humor in the game keeps it from being just another horror cliche, and the characters are interesting. I'm giving credit to it's faults, but look at the positives too

@dagrome I disagree. I don't think in the bigger picture that either the graphics or the story matter in a game. The gameplay does. If it's fun to play, what else really matters? Yes, it's good nowadays to have nice graphics and an interesting plot to tie it all together but those aspects really shouldn't be what makes or breaks a game like it seems to be doing nowadays.

ME2 was kinda a disappointment for me.

I wish they would removed the class system I mean in a 30 hour game do you have to force me to play with a few skills for the whole thing, can't I switch at the ship or something, you know experiment.

Also while I liked the cast it pissed me off how they serviced little point in the plot.

They only ever talk to you which to me defeated a lot of the point of building the crew as once you do one mission for them they lay back and do nothing.

Well the thing with this is for me the best bits of mass effect was Mordin Solus and the final boss but the boss was kinda because it was so stupid I found it funny..

The rest bored me, to much farscape, star trek, esc sci just not my thing.

From what I hear about DP it's far more unusual.

I'd rather have a story that's flawed but different than one that's less flawed but fails to surprise me. I guess I should pick up twin peaks but I'd rather play a game.
