  • I like the video... Such a cutie!!

  • 1....2.....3 Chloroform

  • Its interesting to listen to other parrotlets talk because they have such different voices

  • -dies of its adorableness- ._.

  • What is Peek-a-Boo ?

  • @Nakato5

Its the old game for babys when you hide your face behind your hands and ask "Where is mommy/daddy?" And then the go "Peek a Boo"..and the baby laughs (or crys :P )

  • Haha I love how he brings his wings out slightly whenever he says "silly bird".

  • Face= Priceless. I died from the cuteness.

  • I LOVE THIS I LOVE THIS I LOVE IT

  • I'M THROWING MONEY AT THE SCREEN BUT NOTHING IS HAPPENING!

  • love it!!!!!

  • peek-a-boo +.+

  • PIKIBI

  • I think this is the most beautiful video of youtube ;D !

  • @MagmaMusen and the other subspecies:)

  • @MagmaMusen Ya I think that's the original name , now it's pacific parrotlet

  • I've got two of those! A blue and a green. They're soo cute! A lessons parrot right?

  • Also, he totally said "three".

  • R2D2?

  • The small ones work at 8 bits

  • i got a parrotlet and whenever i put her back she tweets does that mean she doesnt want to be in her cage and wants to stay out?

  • AAAAHHHHHH I SQUEALED

  • WOW! That is just too cute <3

  • Oh my god I'm dying.... It's too cute!

  • @Armaas88 Hahaha. Study!!!

  • Im in the library right now supposed to be working on my paper but nope here I am watching Koolaid !!!

  • Oh he is soooooooo gorgeous

  • How Smart this bird is!!!

  • so many people love this bird online you could probably get rich charging live admission to a simple room with just Kool Aid. i'd be there.

  • @JKMtheRardo lol thanks...he's actually live on Ustream right now...well, sometimes he gets let in by his wife smokey..she's sitting on 2 babies right now. channel is peekabooparrots if u go to Ustream.TV

  • @jxh0703 tyty! i love it. with my next six months being uncertain i am being very patient about getting a bird. i want to make sure i'm settled enough to do it right of course. one of my good friends has a senegal parrot and it was my first introduction. :) i love them. if it takes me a few years to be settled enough to raise a parrotlet, so be it. i can't wait. would you recommend one or two to begin with? i've heard varying answers. regardless, i check back on kool aid all the time. <3

  • Way too adorable!

  • @CelestialParrotlets thank YOU!

  • THIS IS SO CUTE!!!!!!!! I can hardly stand it! <3

  • I can just imagine what my neighbours think when i bursted out in laughter in the middle of the night =__=

  • @tanyajuge lol

  • lol peek-a-boo :)))

  • @cristinax123 That's great! They're fun aren't they :))

  • @pixidust06 I Wouldnt get the new pair only bcuz parrotlets are Very territorial and If zazoo doesn't have a buddy of his own there will be trouble for sure. The pair will always stay together but zazoo will feel threatened or jealous. Or they could miraculously get along but I doubt it. Just my opinion

  • I have my 6yr old parrotlet Zazoo and really want another bird... I now have the opportunity to adopt 2 more parrotlets (both handfed) who are both 7 and caged together.. they come with the cage.. I don't really know if it's a good idea because I have never adopted a bird that old and I don't know how Zazoo might react, but he doesn't get jealous of my dog and I think having more birds to get to know and play with outside of his cage might be good for him.

Any tips or advice from anyone?

    Thanks!

  • Peekaboo! LOL This video made my day. :D

  • @jxh0703 He has warmed up to me a lot in the last day or two! It's so awesome. He lets me scratch his head and gets all fluffy when I do. He also likes to snuggle in my hair. So adorable! Can't wait to teach him tricks!

  • He is adorable!!! I just got a 10 week old hand fed parrotlet yesterday. He looks like koolaid. He's still getting used to me, I think. He's been eating little treats out of my hand for now. How long do you think it will be before he's not completely afraid of me?

  • @cristinax123 aw, your little guy sounds cute. I don't think there is really a time where a bird will be completely unafraid of you, unless their personalities are very calm. at least in my opinion, birds will always retain some sort of natural instict to be on guard as they are in their natural habitat.

  • How old is Koolaid? I have a parrotlet named Tiki and she's a baby. I was just wondering when a good age is for them to start learning tricks.

  • @areopostale5 koolaid is almost 3 yrs old now...they can learn tricks anytime;) he was only 9 weeks old here.

  • @matrixsid786 It's good to put them both in a neutral area away from the cages when doing training :)

  • @ldyhawke318 Aw birdie kisses to your GCC:) thx 4 watching !

  • what kind of bird is that

  • I bought 2 untamed 6 month olds recently, a green (Kandi) & blue one (Rio) & put them together & found that they bonded well however as I used treat training with them Kandi started responding well within a day even though I got her a week after Rio.

I think Rio started getting jealous that Kandi was bonding fast with me & was eating out of my hand & stepping up so quick that Rio started pulling her away from me during training.

Is it wise to put them in separate cages while I train them up?

  • My GCC gets the biggest kick out of Koolaids antics. He enjoys Koolaid and the rest of your flock as much as I do. He already knows how to say "Peek-a-boo" but I'm just waiting for him to answer Koolaid with "silly bird" one of these days. He already watches your parrotlet carefully, listening, and chirps back when Koolaid speaks. What a special little bird you have in Koolaid. He even anticipated your 'three' count. lol

  • @ROOOOOOOOOAR Lol I still laugh when he says three...he hasn't forgotten after 3yrs

  • OMFG this is so adorable I had to scream "IT'S SO CUUUUUUUTE" out loud and I was squeeing through the whole thing, especially when he said "Three!"

  • (")>

  • @fatich00 :)

  • @GanzcastGermany Parrotlet.

  • Two people hit the wrong button.

  • peekaboooooo *0* omgggggg the fluffyness! the cutenessss!!!!!!!

  • That is great what a wonderful little friend you have.

  • What kind of wood if i was to build them a stand should i use ? :)

  • @nynono hnm i'm not sure, i always buy ones that are hand-made already. try google search for 'wood safe perches parrots'

  • adorable! :D

  • Oh my goodness!!!!

    Adorable!

  • adorable :) sooooo cute:))))

  • now two men hit the wrong thumb

  • 2 guys liked peekaba´s more...

  • And Peekabooh To you too Sir

  • 1 person disliked this video because they died from the cuteness overload. Guess I can't blame them.

  • @Bruski305 lol :)

  • I love Koolaid!!!! He's sooooo cute, I just want to kiss him!!!

  • 1 man hit the wrong thumb.

  • I just want to hug him! So adorable!

  • Of course, ONE person would dislike this. Trolls...

  • @AntelopeInATree apparently that one person hit the wrong button ;)

  • @JewelConure aww thank u so much. i do get a lot from them:)

  • What a clever little cutie pie!!!

  • What age will there start to learn to talk?? :)

  • @angelhuman97 no particular age--some take a few months, some never!

  • This is so very cute! And the way his little tummy all round and fluffy just bumps up the cuteness by 2000 points. :)

  • ALL OF THE ADORBZ AWARDS

  • CUTENESS!

  • peekaboo peekaboo,.... awww cho cho cuuuuute !!!

i love when the cutey says - peekaboo !!

  • @zunz1234 lol thanks

  • Added to favorites! <D

  • Oh god Im going to die from the cuteness.

  • @LittleBigNazil lol thnk u

  • AWWWWW!!! Nearly died from the cuteness overload everytime he said Peekaboo!

  • @TheSubjectiveReality :) koolaid would say thank u

  • THAt is adorable!!! how did you train him to be so loving. I have a female one named Pear and she is so bitter! she bit my dad until he bled, she hisses at me, and she never wants to be touched. so how did u train your bird?

  • @EvalinaALxoxo He was hand-fed from 2 weeks old, handled daily & i took over at 7 weeks from the breeder. Kept him outside when I could, had his wings a bit clipped & introduced him to everyone everything as long as he was supervised :) It took a lot of patience ;)

  • This is so adorable my testosterone is reading as estrogen.

  • my problem with having that bird is i would want to hug it too hard XD thats why i got a greenwing macaw! hahaha

  • @macanmllvr haha aww I'd love to have one! but i have no room anymore!

  • @jxh0703 his name is Indy (Indiana) im 16, and i had to work very hard for him, plan out money, and if i will have room and time to care for him when im older because he was already abandoned once, it wont happen again. If you ever get the chance to own one go for it! btw i love the "one...two...three...PEEKABOO!!" did u just do that over and over till he got it? and how long does it take koolaid to learn a phrase or word? it takes my greenwing about a week or 2. thanks!

  • @jxh0703 His name is Indy (indiana) and hes alot of work. like a 2 year old. but he is well worth it. Im 16 and i adopted him. it took alot of work to show my parents i could handle him. and i had to plan out the future, and money. But hes great! and if u every get the chance to own one go for it!! they are truly amazing animals. also, do u just repeat a phrase over and over till he says it? and how long does it take for him to learn a phrase or word?

  • @macanmllvr that's great you did your research & took your time. They live for so long & it's hard to see them rehomed right? Koolaid hasn't learned any new phrases recently, but it takes a lot of repeating & has to be a reeeally catchy phrase these days. I used to train him 20min/day when he was my only bird & then he'd pick it up in a cpl weeks.

  • @jxh0703 yeah it is hard to see the abandoned ones. they are so confused for a while. and they seem depressed. but its always worth it to see them go to a great family. and thats great how u spent 20 min a day. i need to do that with my GW. also does he know any tricks?

  • @macanmllvr he doesn't like to do tricks - he's a stubborn one. really spoiled, wonder why haha.

  • @jxh0703 hes alot of work!! haha and i adopted him but hes amazing. how old is koolaid?

  • @macanmllvr Koolaid is 3yrs old : )

  • THAT IS THE CUTEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!!

  • Koolaid is an excellent teacher! my new parrotlet, Oblio, is saying "Peekaboo" now, at only 10 weeks old! i've only had him 2weeks. he only chatters when i'm not in the room. i'm guessing he's working on other words, too, that maybe aren't so clear yet. he's definitely copying some of the budgies' sounds! great to know he's a talker. now, if i can just get him to chatter when i'm with him...

  • @bunlandia wow good for your little Oblio! They just love that peekaboo sound don't they!

  • Omg...this little bird is ADORABLE!! I saw a parrotlet for the first time in a local pet store and fell in love. They are precious and have such personality. Your little birdie is just squeeful.

  • @Yugena thank you :) they are very different from the other small birds aren't they. like you said, they have a lot of personality!

  • sounds like a pokemon :)

  • OMG this is just TO cute!!

  • were can i get a perch like that? and nice Video!!!! =)

  • @Ali3970 thanks, it's a hand-made playgym i bought at a local bird store :)

  • @jxh0703 nice! i wish we had some here lol well we have pet stores but ive went to like 4 and i cant find anything close to that lol

  • @Ali3970 check online for breeders in your area. just know ahead of time, they are a handful!!! good to research before making any decisions

  • @bmxingbomb thanks for your comment. that's funny, the small peekaboo :p

  • This made my day! So cute!

  • @lmo61210 :)

  • Adorable!!! Omgosh I want one >w< but since I got my hedgehog I dont think my bf would appreciate a bird lol

  • @Sephyshadows get one! :)

  • you silly bird! :-D

  • I would like to say first that we love watching the videos of Koolaid and would like more! Second Koolaid helped our blue parrotlet that is only 3 months old learn how to say 1,2,3 peekaboo! And your a silly bird. It is so cute we think Koolaid helped him mimic another birds voice. So thanks for the help and give Koolaid a scratch on the head :)

  • @bloochevy that's awesome, thanks very much for watching koolaid. He's apparently helped many birds talk from this video!

  • how did you teach your bird to do that.. i have the same bird pparrotlet thats green.. shes 3 and a half months .. shes so viscouse.. idk what to do :( like i try trainingg ,, her HOW DO YOU DO IT HELP<3.......... please:/ ?

  • @ipinku09 just be patient :) get her just used to you being near her first. then try to get her used to your hands, if near the cage, have some treat/millet with you. try to train with her away from the cage so she can't see it. it takes time, dont' worry.

  • @jxh0703 Are conures aggressive?? do you know? im going to buy my first sun conure but i want to make sure that i dont have to worry about it being to aggressive...

  • @jpduder conures aren't as aggressive as parrotlets. they're very very friendly, esp the greencheeks. sun conures are just a bit louder ;)

  • @jxh0703 thank you so much for the advice but i got a peach faced lovebird, and he started out to be the sweetest bird but everytime i try to pet him he bites. im not so sure what to do:/

  • i love koolaid!!!!

  • @akAsha6E6D lol thanks :)

  • That is absolutely adorable AWWW :)

My parrotlet used to say 'what ya doin?' And sometimes he'd say 'what ya doin doin?' for some reason haha aww I miss him:'(

    Koolaid is so cute :')

  • @xXOneHotLennonXx aww that's cute :), sorry to hear that...maybe time to get another ;)

  • @jxh0703 Yeah we were thinking of getting another parrotlet :) I couldn't really think about it when my parrotlet, Oscar had just passed...but even though you care and miss something/one you really love so much forever you do get through it

  • i usually hate birds but... aww :3

  • @Athanase48067 lol yes my friend has the same issue.

  • *squee* So cuuuuuute~

  • hi a9shootingstar again i can hand feed him and sometimes we even try to tempt him out by putting treats on the door of his cage but he gets it and then goes back in.

i can put my hand up two the bars where he is and he sometimes plays with the swing when i put it by his beak

  • @a9shootingstar good job!! also try training where he can't see his cage ;) therefore he has no choice but to bond with whoever is there. kinda mean? it's the only way to expose them to something other than their cage/home.

  • THATS THE CUTEST THING IN THE HISTORY OF HISTORY!!!!!!

  • SO CUTE!!!

  • 1..2...3.....PIKACHU!!

  • I posted him on here he jist not as gifted as Koolaid is yet but he's getting there. he is under Quebert calling the kitty.

  • My parrotlet Quebert loves Koolaid! He sits in front of my computer and talks away to him.. it is the cutest thing!!

  • @debih1961 your parlts name is Quebert! so cute! Thanks, wow lots of parrotlets seem to like watching Koolaid!

  • hia i have an indian ringneck parakeet but he's untame he only takes from my hand but he won't let me go near him i put my hand up slowly towards him but he just goes nuts and flies round the cage any suggestions?

  • @a9shootingstar just start by getting him used to you being near him :)

  • @a9shootingstar My parrotlet was the same...it took me weeks and weeks to get him to happily step onto my finger..it takes a lot of patience but I found it quite fun really :) It was like a hobby :)

  • SMART! O:

  • SO CUTE!

  • the fact that he can make the "sss" sound for 'silly bird' and 'excuse' me is particularly impressive. That is typically the most difficult sound for a parrot to make.

This little guy is fabulous-- my GCC and Hahns Macaw love watching him.

  • @calagarden thank you! That's funny your conure & macaw like watching koolaid! Hahns Macaws are so funny :) I think Koolaid is just unusually vocal. He's calmed down a lot since bonding with his mate Smokey, but he still talks.

  • Koolaid is to cute!!!!! I have one and he loves to give kisses and mock my laugh! lol Any suggestions on how to try and get him to talk more? He is 3 y.o.

  • @missarmywife85 thank you :) I think repeating words in a musical tone really helps - cuz it's the sound they're hearing, not the words:)

  • Awwwww that is such a cute video :) what a cutie :)

  • @BabyDolphin88 koolaid says 'thank you'

  • I love this video! How old was Koolaid when he started to talk? I just got a parrotlet about a month ago and he is now almost 5 months old. He was hand fed and is tame and already gives kisses, but he seems to love his cage. When we take him out he is constantly trying to fly back to it unless we take him into another room. Did Koolaid ever act like that? Any advice?

  • @tiffa4477 thanks for your comments :) I've always had koolaid outside his cage at least 2-3 hrs/day since 7 weeks. He started talking about 2-3 months. He's just unusually vocal. And that includes being LOUD!

It's ok to let him go back to their cage - it's their home. If you weren't comfortable with someone you'd want to go home too right? As you know, birds are very sensitive and they train easily when you go slow in small steps . Use rewards & train only 15min at a time. Build trust.

  • Respond to this video... but you're right about being in another room. when they can't see their own cage, you're the only alternative LOL. :p ;)

  • I'm buying my mom one tomorrow. Any advice?
