  • im 6'3 and im dunking and my vert is only 26 none of the videos on youtube really help me and i cant buy any thing to help so im stuck -_-

  • Could you go into more detail about stability? I'm confused on what it is exactly.

  • I need about 4-5 centimeters to Dunk, will this work ?

    I'm so excited.

  • Hi, I am 14 and 178cm (5"9 feet) and I can touch the board. I bought your Vertical jump Handbook in hopes of dunking. The handbook is pretty confusing because some exercises that are in the handbook are not in your videos or else I couldn't find them... Can you help me so it is worth my money...

  • @tunc2468 of course we can help. The very few exercises that aren't in these two videos are probably the depth jumps (which involve jumping down from a box, landing on two feet, and exploding back up in the air for another max jump), the dot drills (the video link is in the description of this video), and the lying foot circles (which are just like lying leg circles, but you circle using your ankle joint instead of your hip joint). Does that help? Let us know!

  • @ShotScience yes is did... and I also dont know how to do the foam rolling exercises which are IT band, quad rolls, calves, achilles, hamstrings and glutes.

  • @ShotScience and also the box jump and the suicide... also can you explain the depth jumps a bit more... it would be nice if you send me a video of anybody doing this things

  • @tunc2468 Box jumps are just as the title might describe. Jumping up on and off boxes like Plyometric boxes. The depth jump is noted to you above.

  • is there a substitution for the foam roller?

  • @xMaGesTiiC Yes, you can use tennis balls, baseballs, or a short section of pipe.

  • i tried to jump high but then i just fart really loud in the gym

  • @sasukewithsharingan1 Thanks so much for that bit of information!!!!! We sure don't want to play with your or against you! HaHa

  • @ShotScience im serious everyone stares at me can you help me prevent this?

  • too long

  • im 5foot5 in the 8th grade i could touch the backboard but ive been doing a lot of squat and toe raises lately i didnt get no result why?

  • @TheRajonrondo12 Go back and review the several Vertical Jump videos fr the answers. The stretching and foam rolling are extremely important to your vertical jump. Ding the squats and toe raises are not the answer.

  • To long shorten it up made me fAll ASEEP

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • @skaterswag69 sorry. First time we've heard this one.

  • @skaterswag69 sorrrrrrrry. ZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • @ShotScience That awkward moment when you answer the same comment twice.

  • @Roflbrowser We crew up quite often!!!!! Oh Well!!!!

  • dont get how this is going to help me

  • @DevilXDful Well, what can we say here? If you cannot comprehend what this will do for you then possibly you could check out our Vertical Jump Handbook on our You Tube Channel. This is a three month daily workout program that has been proven to work by many of your Shot Science Team Members. Check it out.

  • @ShotScience how tall is taylor and chris? it does not seem like they have to jump THAT high to dunk.

  • @mrmarshmellowman2 1.88 m

  • 6'5, 6'5 wingspan 16 years old and just started dunking 6 months ago

  • @tazerboy3 Sweet!!!

  • im 6'3 and cant touch rim yet what are some workouts I can do to increase my vertical?

  • @MrAlexisz23 The best answer we can give you is to get our Vertical Jump Handbook for $4.99 and it has a 30 page program with daily workouts to help you gain 3-5 inches and maybe more in three months. Get on it today!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrAlexisz23 im 5'6" and i can touch my rim, if 8 inches taller than me and you cant them you should do alot more workouts_______ no offense xD

  • I am a 12 year old (5"5) and people keep saying that i can jump really high but i dont feel it.I am touching the center of the nets on the school's court and It feels like i only need 4 inches to touch the rim and 7 inches to hang on to the rim.Hope This Helps.

  • @ShotScience I can't get my hands on a foam roller...any suggested substitutes?

  • Hey shot science, should these exercises be used before a basketball workout or seperately from a workout??

  • Comment removed

  • @blaacabla It is impossible for us to know what the problem is. Sorry.

  • wow!! this is like the 1st video ive seen with a white guy dunking....

  • @PGtheawesome there's plenty of white guys that dunk...

  • @ShotScience I am 14 years old and I can touch the rim,do you think that I will dunk with 16 years ?

  • @jordanKK39 We have no idea! You may not grow anymore or your vertical may not increase. The best thing for you to do is to get our Vertical Handbook and work on your leap.

  • @ShotScience im 16 years old ..does that mean i wont grow anymore?

    :(

  • @jongjong123ful We really do not know what you can expect. Some males continue to grow through their early 20's and others reach full growth by 16-17 years old. Sorry, but we cannot tell you.

  • @PGtheawesome go check out blake griffin... hes white!!!

  • @PGtheawesome thats fucking stupid to say

  • @MrPrototypeReckn Now, Now! Lets keep it cool!

  • I'm 5'11 and can touch the top of the rubber under backboard. I'm 175 pounds. Do I need to cut weight in order to dunk?

  • @rondog222 it's hard for us to assess without seeing you and knowing your overall fitness level. It is true that being lean greatly helps in developing your vertical, but everyone is different. If you hit our program from the "Vertical Jump Handbook" pretty hard, you'd probably up your vertical and get in really good shape.

  • Hi, i just wanted to say that I am a 6 foot 2 point guard and i was able to twohand grab the rim before i started using your workouts and after 5 months of using this training (and slightly more advanced training), i'm dunking with ease and now people are comparing my dunks to people like Russel Westbrook. Thank you so much for everything :)

  • @jttp0139 AWESOME! That sounds like you put a lot of hard work into it! We'd love to see some video!

  • @ShotScience sorry for late response but what i meant to say was do you have to jump off your left foot if you use your right hand to dunk and vice versa?

  • @timmychans17 This is best as you get a little more extension or reach on the dunk!

  • @shotscience what do I do AFTER I complete the 3 months of training?

  • @liljav11 Keep working using the same program. Recommend a week off and then get going again as all exercises will benefit your vertical. You could do this for a year if it is important to you.

  • Hey, First of all I want to thank yall for all your videos have helped me out alot I used to suck at basketball. I was wondering how many reps of each drill you should do a day? I was thinking like 20 for stretches and do 3 sets for of 12 for other stuff? does that sound about right?

  • @webman049 thanks! We lay out all of that in our "Vertical Jump Handbook." You can find the link in the description of this video. It's 3 months of training ;-)

  • @timmychans17 when im about to dunk i mean

  • @timmychans17 Not really sure what you are getting at here Timmy. Try again.

  • if im right handed, do i HAVE to jump off my left foot?

  • @timmychans17 Jump off the left foot WHEN and what are you doing? Are you shooting or jumping?

  • Hey coach,

I'm around 5'5" and going to be fifteen in about a months time. I really REALLY wanna dunk a basketball. If I follow your techniques according to how you say will I be able to dunk? Can I make variations to this (I don't have a foam roller) ? How long will it be till I'm able to dunk. Thanks!

  • @ShotScienceFan Seems that we have addressed this same question with you before. We can only say that if you want to dunk you need to have our Vertical Jump Handbook and follow it to a tee! Substitutes for the foam roller can be tennis balls, baseballs or even a short length of pipe.

  • Hey Coach I'm 1,72 and right now i can grab the rim, but i still can't dunk, i get the ball over the rim and release, and i touch the rim after that, but i can't put it in, it bounces off the back part of the rim, i can palm the ball well but it just won't go in, the problem is the vertical or the palm

  • @eduardoj22 Probably the vertical!!

  • i miss the old youtube with no commercials

  • @CrAZysgee18 how do you think creators are supposed to support the production of more free videos?

  • please answer i foam roll my quads all the time and never felt anything am i doing it wrong

  • @MsAaron2324 we can't be sure because we can't see you doing it. It might be that you don't have many adhesions in your quads, but we'd still recommend doing it on a regular basis because it will prevent them and will help greatly with flexibility. Typically people find that the outside edge of their quads, where their IT Band is located, is the most sensitive and least flexible. How's that area?

  • @ShotScience thank u i have one more question even thou it has nothing to do with this vid i have been in the weight room but i am in the middle of all the weights what i mean is the weights are example 15 pounds then 25 and up the 15 is too light and the 25 is 2 heavy what 2 do thank u

  • 5'10 with vertical of 9.9 feet only 3 more inches to go coach my friend is 5'9 and can easily grab a 10 foot rim

  • @mjjordanify Well, we hope you are using out Vertical Jump Handbook to develop your vertical. You can get there if you are that close. Remember though, this all comes from really hard work!

  • I mean I'm touch rim and on a good day I grab it any geussiments

  • @RisingS7AR With our Vertical Jump Handbook you possibly can do this in about 6 weeks IF you work your buns off!

  • About how long till I can dunk and were can I but a foam roller

  • @RisingS7AR There is NO POSSIBLE WAY we can tell you how long it will take you to dunk! Most sporting Goods stores carry the foam rollers.

  • Ok look I just got the jump hand book for 4.99 . I'm 6'1 and im in 8 th grade just turned 14. I on my school team but we just lost in the semi finals. I can touch rim and on a good day I can get a couple fingers in the rim

  • @RisingS7AR okay, that sounds great! Get to work and start throwing it down!

  • I've bought tha jump handbook. So is tha exercises only mondays and tuesdayz?

  • @Jordan5583 nope, there's exercises 6 days of the week and they are clearly marked

  • I was just selected to my county's All Star team. I've been following program since Jan. 1., and about to start week six. My legs feel really tired now and my games for this week has increased to a min of 4 for our tourny. Should I take a break and pick up where I left off. Our season ends with this tournament. thanks

  • @BallAwlDay take a break for sure and repeat the last few weeks when you finish your season. Your games should be your focus and you want to be in top form! Good luck!!

  • not trying to ask a stupid question but if i practice my dunking takeoff on 2 feet and i gain some vertical, will the vertical go up on 1 foot or not?

  • @timmychans17 it's impossible for us to know, but we suggest working on two-foot and one-foot take offs.

  • for how many days/weeks/months do i need to follow these exercises if i am doing them 5 days a week?

and once i feel an increase in my vert, do i still need to do them for the same amount of time?

  • @ShadyMVP the answer to your questions can be found in our "downloadable " Vertical Jump Handbook..Check it ou ton our YT channel.

  • im in grade 10, 5'10 and can barley touch rim is that good?

  • how tall r u guys?

  • @MrHudson3D We are all 6'2".

  • @ShotScience is your basketball hoop 10ft?

  • @MrHudson3D Absolutely! Why would we shoot on a shorter one?

  • Wait you said top outside and top inside are important to roll in calves...What does it ,mean? Calves are at the bottom? Inside, outisde???

  • @itsMUSICY we mean the top inside and outside of your calf. Your calf starts just below your knee and extends down to your ankles. When we say top, we mean the area closer to the knee.

  • When I get to the rim, there's usually some tall defender blocking my shot and swiping the ball. What should I do? By the way, I saw finishes at the rim! :D. Do you think I should go for the fadeaway or do a finger roll or tear drop? If it is okay to do these moves how should I employ them. Thanks!

  • @ShotScienceFan Why wouldn't you do any one of the Finishes at the Rim? Of the other things you mentioned, we'd only suggest using the finger roll. The other shots are not high percentage and won't draw contact.

  • i don't have a foam roll is there other options?? thanks!

  • @KenManZanZan anything that is hard and firm and will roll along the ground

  • Hey man, I've been looking into getting some ankle weights for vertical training. Would you suggest them? And if so what kind of exercises? Thanks

  • @bendenjo We recommend that you save your money on the ankle weights. Please check into our vertical jump program. It has been developed by a professional and the program works. You can find the jump Program Handbook on our You Tube Channel.

  • @ShotScience Wouldn't ankle weight mess up your body posture, spine and runnnig technique?

  • @itsMUSICY we didn't recommend them...

  • Coach, i´m with 5´7 can i dunk after that training ? :x

  • @Notsdy We have no idea if you can ever dunk the ball. You may grow or you may use a jump program and develop the ability to do it.

  • Hey.

I've been doing jumping exercises a lot earlier and i noticed that i actually stopped jumping higher,I've a 22-24 Stand 2 feet vertical and a 30-32 vertical with one foot.

Is there anything i could do to start gaining vertical again?I can just touch the rim :F.

  • @CallMeB00M Sometimes you can over train and your vertical can become less. A rest may be the answer for you.

  • u guys need a pull up shot video

  • @ThingsYouWant2C This will come up soon!

  • what can u use instead of a foam role? i dont have one

  • @XxAG2707xX You can use tennis ball, baseball or a short length of 2" PVC pipe to get the job done.

  • @ShotScience OHHH thanks, i dont know what a PVC pipe is. i'll use the tennis ball one

  • OMG these stretches actually work! i just worked out and ive been sore for the past hours, and now i feel great! SUBSCRIBE TO THIS NIGGA!!!

  • @H3NOCH15 there is no question they work. If you were to get the Vertical Jump Handbook it will outline a three month program for you and it will help your leg strength, speed, agility and your vertical. Glad you like it.

  • When doing the sideline leg circles, wouldn't it help to also do larger circles to improve overall hip strength and mobility?

Also, I'd be very interested to see some exercises to help improve my lateral movement speed and agility for both offense and defense. I want to be better at staying in front of my man on d' and getting past him when I have the ball. Are there some exercises that you'd recommend to help accelerate my acceleration (side to side and forward/back)?

  • @77smeagol The Vertical Jump Handbook is a great way to improve strength, agility, speed and explosiveness as well as your Vertical.

  • Hi I'm 14, 15 this August, and Im 170cm (5 '7), and is there a possibility of me to dunk by doing these? well even If I cant dunk I'd be glad to get good jumping to get good rebounds off the centers (I play PG) :D and for how long should I follow these steps.. 1 month? 2 months etc? I can barely touch the board have like half an inch, can easily touch the net though.. btw thanks for making these videos.. dribbling 101 helped me alot :)

  • @Evilbear97 Go to our You Tube channel and not the Vertical Jump Handbook and that is the way to develop your hops. It is a three month program with daily workouts. This is the answer for you.

  • @ShotScience I'm sorry but I didn't get the point... "go to our you tube channel and not the vertical jamp handbook" So you are asking me to not get the handbook and do these work-outs in these 2 videos? :)

  • Comment removed

  • hey shot science thank you so much; i did your program and i can dunk really good now; i did 20 reps of everything you said except for the stretches where i just went until i loosened up. THIS PROGRAM WORKS no need for all those expensive program!!! THANK YOU SHOTSCIENCE. im going to start this up after b ball season and make a before and after video.

  • @tallboywitshortpants Thanks so much fr your very nice testament. In all reality, the stretching is REALLY IMPORTANT to making really good gains. Do not leave out the stretching. Let us know how your jumping progresses.

  • i am 1.90 (6 "2.8" ft) i touch the rim pretty easily but i think i dont have enough high jump and my palms are a bit small any help?

  • @RequieMzzZZ Get busy getting your vertical going and quit worrying about your small hands. There are a lot of really good players who do not have large hands.

  • @andrew2324g please reply

  • @andrew2324g We recommend that you purchase our Vertical Jump Handbook for your jump improvement. It is very reasonable at $4.99.

  • im 5"8 will i ever be able to dunk?

  • @Aikia215 Genetics might play a role, but you'll never know if you don't work hard on your vertical!

  • @Aikia215 We have no idea what you are capable of because all people are different. Our genetic code really is the guide for where we will go with our growth, but you can develop greater elevation by working on it! Read above comment by "tallboywitshort pants" for a testimonial on his development!

  • @Aikia215 Type in Tdubb and search him

  • @Aikia215 Type in Tdub and search his first video in top

  • how tall are the guys dunking in these vids?

  • @turnejo02 Both of those guys are 6'2"

  • I sorry my english is poor. I from America.

How many weeks for me to dunk on a negro?

  • Coach, I'm from Germany and my English isn't the best.

Is it correct that I first have to do 2 weeks of the Flexibility Program (Foam Rolling) then 2 weeks of Stability then 2 weeks of Strength and then Power? Or should I do a bit of everything each day?

  • @TheInsaneTom What you need to do is to purchase the Vertical Jump Handbook for a complete three month program for you to follow.

  • @ethanbeech2k8 the Plyo Boxes?

  • i just do leg circle about 2weeks and i turn touch rim into a dunk = =...

  • @wantdunk you should try the Vertical Jump Handbook ;-)

  • @ShotScience

    how do i buy it

  • @wantdunk the link is in the description

  • @ShotScience

if i buy it how fast will i go it

sorry my english is poor i am Taiwanese

  • @wantdunk it's an instant download

  • @ShotScience is it with picture??

  • @ShotScience hey i buy it what's the different of lunge and lunge inside elbow

and the different of glute bridge and hamstring bridge

  • @ShotScience how do i get handbook ><

  • Hello Shot Science I am a youth baskerballer and I am just 10.I am 10 but I am very tall, about 180cm.Can this workout work for me?(I am a athelete)

  • is it foam rolling necessary? btw im doing good with vertical jump hanbook

  • @BazhoFromTheHood The Foam Rolling is a very important paret of the Vertical Jump Program. Do make sure that you does this as it is called out in the Handbook.

  • my height is just 165cm which is 5 feet 5 inches and 20 years old..

i'm not a full time basketball player.. but i would like to play 7 days out of a week if i have time..

i know there're no way for me to increase my height anymore.. so i need to train my jumping power to facing higher player.. with my height can i really make a jump that can shock everyone and make me easier to face higher player??

  • @EdzIsMurderer Well we suggest that you go to our YT Channel page and there you will see our Vertical Jump Handbook for $4.99. It is a complete program for daily workouts that cover three months. In this period we have had many report 3-5" with one at 10". Check it out.

  • I believe that this as good as it gets. My congratulations to this young guy for his expert knowledge and ability to communicate.

  • Thank you.

  • @parkourmaniac1 You are very welcome.

  • If I could touch the rim right now, how much inches do I have to increase in order to dunk?

If I brought the vertical jump manual, is it a guranteed that I could dunk the ball?

  • @spidermanangel93 Three to four inches would probably do it. Spider, we do not guarantee anyone will be able to increase their vertical because you are the one who must follow the Program Handbook closely and work your butt off to make the gains. If you were to decide to eliminate some of the exercises or take days off this would affect your gain. So understand that we make no "guarantee" that you will be able to achieve anything because it is out of our control. Noted gains 3-5".

  • Thxs

  • Hey Coach im 13 and 6 feet İm in Europe 185 cm . But i cant jump enough. My english isn't good enough . I'm from turkey should i buy your hand book . or Did you advise me another handbook . Please help me

  • @mertekin6 We recommend our Vertical Jump Handbook for the best results for improving your vertical jump. It is to be found on our YT Channel page and it is $4.99. No better deal anywhere!

  • @ShotScience And im in Turkey What kind of handbook is this? After how many days from order to get ? I plan to get handbook if you answer this question

  • @mertekin6 This is a 30 page handbook and you can down-load it from our site. No waiting.

  • @ShotScience i have 7 dollar and İ will buy vertical handbook. And I can buy 2 quick study guides. What should i buy ? spin dribble and flat back dribble ? Im playing basketball over 1 year . So i dont buy layup guide lol . You know what should i buy ?

  • @mertekin6 That is for you to figure out! What do you want to work on? We do not know your game or your abilities so you will need to make the choice.

  • coach , im 13 and 5'9 . im trying to work on my vertical , i do squats and a week after i went in the gym i could tell it paid off but im still not at the rim . should i keep doing this or is there other exercises that are better ?

  • @yungin98 We recommend our Vertical Jump Program. You will find the Handbook on our YT channel. This will get the job done.

  • @ShotScience how important is the skipping. And will the one legged skipping help my one leg jump?

  • @princesseffie Probably a minimal gain.

  • Hey coach kneed to know if this book will help me I'm 5"2 and some people say I have somewhat hops already I don't know my vertical or how to measure it. But I am very dedicated to basketball and I practice every dayi have purchased ur book and printed it out I'm going to start training on Monday but I was wondering. How much will this help me because if you have seen those other basketball training programs for like 50 dollars and they promise like 10inches but if this will help how much becau

  • @soloflyer12 Well soloflyer, we make no such claims as the success of your work is directly related to how you follow the program, how hard you work and whether you follow the program. If you do you can realize a nice gain in the three months. If you are off-and -on then the gains will be less. Who can promise and deliver on 10" gain in three months even though we had one player do this on our program.

  • @ShotScience Thanks im still going to do the exercises because this looks like the complete opposite of what those scammers do. And considering the price you jus
