  • national shame

  • The day that brought 20 years of misery except for a select few....

  • The only people missing soviet Russia are the ex public servants.

  • Stupid 12 year olds thinking this was a bad day.

  • @Trashcansam123 True.

  • @iwannabethekid34x I mean if you think about if, this government was the cause for the death of millions of people. Both Russian and not Russian.

  • @Trashcansam123 Why do you have to be a dick?

  • @CommunistSovietChris A dick? You mean a person who's read books, seen documentaries about soviet citizens who where there?

  • it was the worst day in the modern history the world will never be the same again

  • the Greatest day that had blessed the World, bye bye Commies, and good riddance!

  • @LordKaisen The Worst day that has come to the World. Welcome drugs gangs and violence and poverty. Have a nice life..

  • Why must all good and powerfull things in this world come to an end!

  • I cried )':

  • Já era.

    Regime assassino.

  • верните Родину!

  • i'll be back!

  • is there a single russian that thinks theyre better off now?

  • @Gandy4231 well under almost all soviet time they were starving so yes i do believe that having a full stomach is better then a strong military.

  • @lordnocts their military is actually is better now

  • @Maltese1994 Yes but its not as relevant. No one really cares about what Russia think as much as they used to.

  • gorbachev killed the union

  • @AwesomeDRAGONgamer Reagan did.

  • the flag lowers YOU!

  • Fuck you Reagan! even when the soviet union wanted peace with you and become allies you showed them no mercy you prick! now look at Russia, it has more poverty, corruption, and a conservative government that ignores its people.

  • May the Flag rise again someday! Oh, Storona Lenina!

  • This was the failure of communism not the Russian people.

  • a sad day

  • This was done that to blame the Americans.

  • Support Zyuganov and the KPRF! Restore the socialist Motherland!

  • @Tauredon *soviet.

    Hardly communist from Stalin upward.

  • what can I say... "die die die" seems appropriate...

  • RIP IN PEACE SWEET PRINCE

  • this was one of the best things to happen to this world fuck soviet russia fuck the new russia and fuck all their supporters

  • The destroyers of USSR decided on a lowering of flag under cover of night only. Let they fall into the hell! Although I was 13 y.o. at 1991, I remember and love my Motherland, the great Soviet Union. I seem today's russian federation looks too primitive. And stupid brainless russia's leaders seems like clowns at the circus.

P.S. I'm sorry for my English:)

  • We told you so...

  • @sovietunion100 The Soviet Union would have collapsed I think before 2000 anyway. Despite the Afghan war the whole system was old, rotting and corrupt. Without Gorbachev you would most likely of still had shortages in the 1990s.

  • The end of an era. The end of the Cold War.

But all is not lost. Russia is growing stronger daily as democracy is increasingly unsuccessful.

  • @Guynumber7 i'm sorry to dissapoint you, but there isn't a democracy in russia. maybe on paper, but it's almost impossible for other parties to register.

  • This is such a sad sight. I'm a communist, I hate the way the Soviet Union ran during and after Stalin's rule. But it's sad to see the first communist state destroyed. After all the hard work that was put into it.

  • That was a smart move. Communism wasn't performing as needed, so Russia released some Soviet Republics, and came back on the milenary track of Capitalism. I don't claim they are pure capitalistic now, but they have advanced.

  • the greatest mistake... the fall of a great nation.

  • I dont know what botton i hit because i like the soviet flag and the communist system, but i don't like the flag going down. :(

  • @MrPrates98 same.

  • I shed a tear...

  • A sad video, I wish the USSR Planned economy had succeeded. But unfortunately it tripped over his own feet.

  • :( see vo srceto CCCP <3 Pozdrav od Makedonija

  • all those people who fought for the soviets are disgraced with this! The new government of the soviets was a complete corrupt peace of shit after 1970s!

  • @SovietUnion100 What a coincidence, that's the same decade my governmet (USA) became a complete corrupt peace of shit!

  • @TruthOasis that was the 70s bro.

  • Soo sad.

  • that was very good day unless you're brain washed fag

  • Mother Russia will rise again!!! the world need the red army!!!

  • El dia mas triste del mundo...gracias gorbachov ¬¬

  • А мне норм.

  • i have a lot of friend who live during communism and is funny how they hate living in america... haha the land of the free my ass. they were much more happy during soviet union. Stop reading fake american books! DAMN SHEEPS!!

  • @hbk12165 It's all relative, moi drug. I'm an American who grew up in America, and the thought of living under communism isn't apealing to me one bit. But I could understand why someone who is used to communism wouldn't be comfortable in America. In the end, Russians and Americans are not so different. I've always had a great deal of respect for the pride that Russians take in their country. I do not support communism, but I do not judge those who do.

  • nice

  • Best day every. End of surrow and suffering of all Eastern Europe end of this fucking ideology and freedom for many nations ! Its funny how people write all this bullshits about brotherhood, freedom, force of Soviet Nation. If u were not living in that time (during comunism in Europe) and u are not East European please dont write fake information. I hope comunism never come back to Europe. And I choose capitalism insted of comunism.

  • @r4dON123 yeah. long live rotschild your damn fuck capitalist greed.... hows that beautiful country with that people had begging food at the streets while the government is enjoying sucking your money? beautiful country isnt it? oh i bet you love capitlaist country cause you want ipod, laptops and whatsoever.... hahahaha do you think capitalist country will save your ass? they prefer to sell your soul than saving you retard.

  • @Archraveful I know how terrible it is. In the usa, it is owned by the people, and the people don't care about you. They only care about themselves. They are arrogant, self-righteous PIGS! I hang my head in shame for the fact I was born in the usa.

  • i want to cry

  • Communism failed.... again.

  • @emtpilot132 comunism is still live and kicking, and it will return to russia one day. its still alive in the hearts of all russian, in china, and in north korea, if u think that hey those are all the terrorist nations, then ay try n figure out y, given u live in a capatalist nation

  • @farshad94abedi North Korea is a disgrace to communism.

  • dam you yeltsin!

  • @KillgoreES88 Thank you for you kind words. Regards and respect from Russian Patriot.

  • @KillgoreES88 What's most sad is the fact that for 70+ years, people were born, raised, and tried to make the system work. They believed into it and gave it their all, and in the end a few corrupt individuals brought it down.

I still say the best is a mix between socialist and capitalist, just don't let the US or Russia hear me say that :o

  • @KillgoreES88 You kidding me? Sure the communists were sad but all the oppressed and starving broke out in rejoice!

  • @KillgoreES88 are u a communist? or a capitalist?

  • @haibigboy doesnt matter at all huh?

  • Comment removed

  • YEAH WOOHOO, USA USA USA USA

  • sad day

  • as if the flame was extinguished ....((((((

  • Communism removes god to believe in Karl Marx. And Capitalism removes humanity to believe in money and personal interests. So kids go back to do your homeworks, both systems suck

  • This isnt the mark of a good day or a bad day. It was the mark of a nation that was suffocating itself due to keeping up with a nuclear arsenal... That is not how a country should be run, it should be most concerned with the well being of its citizens and by creating the Russian Federation, it allowed more business and more competition to stimulate its economy. Russki Pride!

  • God bless all the freed nations, god bless America! God bless England!!

  • YAY YAY YAY GOD BLESS AMERICA AMERICA WINS AGAIN

  • Fuck you communist faggots. Long live freedom.

  • We will get back....

  • Worst day in all Of Russian History..

  • @Evilsnowman2213 More like Greatest day Of Russian History.

  • This never had to happen!

The downfall only made the situation worse in the Russian Federation now.. the poor people are poorer and the rich are getting richer, that is the capitalist system that is used today.

In the former Soviet Union, everyone was equal no difference.. everything was fairly distributed amongst the people and now also the love for the motherland is gone.

    Za Rodinu!

  • The worst day in Russian history...

  • I saw it in news in 1991. Was just 13. Lived far away from USSR but still wept.

  • Depressing shit.

  • @JosephVStalinII imagine how terrible this to those how lived there and lost it.

  • @Brainthrasher Mhmmm. For all those bastard capitalist that dare say that this a glorious day, I ask them to listen. No cheering. No praise. This was a SAD day.

  • @JosephVStalinII no, it was a good day. the evil empire is finished

  • @hojoleon This was a horrible day, when the country went to hell.

  • @hojoleon You sir, are stupid. That is all I can possible say to one as you. I sincerely hope you die.

  • @JosephVStalinII why would u support such an evil empire. the soviet union was the very definition of evil in the world. thank god for ronald reagan, thank god for the united states of america, and thank god for the free world in standing up for the pirnciples in which it stands for.

  • @hojoleon Well. Not only are you a idiotic capitalist. You're also a religious nut case. Thankyou for exemplifying the "definition of" STUPID. Thankyou for showing me, and the rest of the world, how truly fucking stupid you Americans are. Further, thankyou for showing us, how much of an ass hat you are. Fuck off.

  • @JosephVStalinII first, im not an american im a citizen of the world. second, if the soviet union was that good of a country than why doesn't it exist anymore?

  • @JosephVStalinII or they forgot to include the sound while filmimg dumbass ^^

  • @JosephVStalinII you fucking commie ignorant idiot go red a book and learn about communism. The people always win when they rise up

  • @lordnocts lol go red a book... Mao wrote a Red book... communism was red... i know its a typo but still that was funny...

  • @ssoloness Lol Mao was mass murderer you must also love Hitler. Ive read communist books and communist Russia at its height was still not nearly as good of a place to live a america. The red on the american flag is for the blood we spilled for our freedom not for the blood of the working class.

  • @lordnocts No! Mao was a nice guy, just like Kim Jong Il(RIP)! :( and Hitler was such a sweet heart so do insult Herr Fuhrer!"The red on the american flag is for the blood we spilled for our freedom" you think thats something to be proud of? Im no american (thank allah) but i always thought the stripes represented the original collonies. english blood, native american blood, and your own blood. every country, or most of them are built in blood, but we should never take pride on it.

  • @ssoloness no they do not. I take pride in fighting and dying to protect our colonies from the Brits. im going to reply to you anymore because you dont actually believe this your just being a troll.

I thank god every day that i dont live in that shit hole Portugal.

  • @lordnocts oh btw, if you didn't get it i was trolling about the mao, kim jong il, hitler and allah thing. AND when it comes to Hitler for that matter, the first ones to reach Berlin were the soviets, not the americans, british or french... at least give them credit for that. oh and stalingrad... that was a fucked up battle....

  • @ssoloness yea no shit i know about ww2. Thats why i said we saved the europians from the RUSSIANS not the Nazi because if they were able to invade Normandy which i doubt they would have turned Europe into Russia.

  • @lordnocts its europeans... with an e... you didn't save anyone. such a great army but such a bad military history. the russian would never invade europe. with so many fascist regimes at the time, and after spending so such money and resources during ww2 you think they would jump right into another world war? infact if you really have read anything about the USSR you would know what was the Comintern. they didn't need to "invade" a country.

  • @ssoloness My keyboard broke sorry. What do you men if they were able to defeat the nazis they would already be in Europe they wouldn't even need to fight they would just need to sign some papers and draw some lines and move into other euro areas. Russia at the end of the war was a super power so they wouldn't have a problem.

  • @lordnocts and Portugal might be a "shit hole" but I know how to write my native language, I know the great history of my country. and most important of all I know the meaning of my flag. I am truly thankful that I was not born in the country that the world despises filled with ignorant, fat, monolingual, gun loving freaks. so from Portugal with love, mama-me a piça meu monte d'merda americano.

  • @ssoloness I told you my key board dick head i have to hit the key really hard you fucking idiot. LOL i told you it just because you goggled it doesn't mean your right. lol you have never been hear so whatever childish insults you have to say to men have no weight.

  • @lordnocts "you have never been hear" no I haven't i've never been in a verb. it's spelled here. is your keyboard is so broken that the keys change randomly? can you honestly tell me the capital of my shit hole country without google? but for God sake the stripes thing is really sad... whos president Bush? Clinton? Whashington?

  • @ssoloness Omg here you fucking grammar Nazi im trying to type fast. The fuck did you just ask me. did you just ask me to name who bush Clinton and the first president George Washington was. You spelled Washington wrong fuck face btw.

  • @ssoloness s for the stripe thing we both said the same thing that it represented blood. I believe that we should respect the men who fought for Independence and there sacrifices.

in exact words its for hardiness & valor in war and life.

  • @ssoloness White signifies purity and innocence, Red, hardiness & valor, and Blue, signifies vigilance, perseverance & justice."

  • @lordnocts and the star represent what? the star of hollywood right?

  • @ssoloness Let me quote

"The star is a symbol of the heavens and the divine goal to which man has aspired from time immemorial; the stripe is symbolic of the rays of light emanating from the sun."

  • @lordnocts omfg so the stars do not represente the current number of states? you've got to be trolling...

  • @ssoloness yes we add a star every time a new state is formed but that is not why they were originally created. We created a star which represents " the heavens and the divine goal to which man has aspired from time immemorial; the stripe is symbolic of the rays of light emanating from the sun." every time a new state is formed.

They do not exist because of states thats not there reason they just add one every time a state is formed. idiot.

  • @lordnocts it's spelled their. idiot. it's nice to see some logic, there it actually makes sence and since I dont know what is the meaning of each individual star I'm not gonna bitch about it. and you don't need to talk to me like an ass.

  • @ssoloness You talk down to me when i said hear instead of here.

    you said Whashington?

    And its Washington.

  • @lordnocts i no longer care.

  • @ssoloness in other words you lost.

  • @lordnocts i meant stars sweetie...

  • @ssoloness lol your so unintelligent and ignorant its kind off funny. your naive and you believe whatever anyone tells you.

  • @lordnocts Yes, because I'm the ignorant one hear. I'm sorry what was that? Am I supposed to "red" a book? Really? The people wanted this? Really? That's why the Communist Party of Russia, is growing RAPIDLY in the modern world? This, I'm sure, is why they tote Red Banners, with pictures of Lenin, and Stalin? Perhaps, you should start reading instead of, having "red" something. Perhaps you should open your ears, and eyes, and close your shit-filled pitiful mouth.

  • @JosephVStalinII Here*

  • @JosephVStalinII o yes because something popular its good you know what else was even more popular then communism the Nazi party. people like communism because Russia was really strong when it was in play. they forget although there country was militarily strong people starved and died. they worked many people to death.

So since its popular it must be right.

  • @JosephVStalinII and communism is not growing not nearly as fast as it was going during the cold war and plus whats the last country that has turned communist. communism is a failed experiment.

  • @JosephVStalinII I'm sure it was...for Russians. For Americans it was a good day. I mean no disrespect to you when I say this, so please don't misunderstand me. We were two different worlds and Russians would've rejoiced over the lowering of the final American flag too. It's sad that the two countries, so full of potential, couldn't see eye to eye.

  • @JosephVStalinII Well the leader was a sick fuck, and the use of communism did end up throwing the USSr into bankrupcy so i would call this a good day for all.

  • @ContinentalPatriot sure you would, because your a fat fucking american

  • @TheJaaysog Fat fucking american? I weight 132 lb/s dumbfuck. If you can't come up with a better argument than, "You're** a fat fucking american" than you're a dumbfuck whatever you are lol.

  • @ContinentalPatriot patriot your ass. racist... is that a good manners that capitalist country taught to you?

  • @JosephVStalinII How about the ones who finally got their independence back after 50 years of enslavement under communist rule? Nothing to do with capitalism, yet still most Eastern Europeans are glad this happened. Every system that tries to rule by force will collapse from inside.

  • @JosephVStalinII Youre a fucking kid.

  • СУКИ!!!!Ну зачем?

  • Why did this make so many Russians sad when it was supposed to signal the end of oppression? I heard that many citizens lost their state benefits, but surely there's more to it than that.

  • very sad day for all

  • I'm an american, not a communist and yet...there is something very sad about watching the flag being lowered. It's as if part of Russia died. Not communism, but the something else, perhaps the brilliant music. No offense but the new lyrics to the national anthem leave a lot to be desired.

    Greetings from the US

  • I am so glad that Gorbachev will die soon!! Can't wait to dance on his grave top pay off for the misery of hundred millions of my fellow soviet citizens

  • @TakouKpytou totally agree. That motherfucker promised too much democracy to people and what has he done? He simply fucked up USSR infrastructure, ruined millions of lives and is reason of these civil wars and deaths. What freedom is this? Lossing appartments given for free and starving to death? Motherfucker never cared about USSR. All the time, he was drinking with USA governors. He should be executed and his body torn apart.

  • Soviet fanboys are completely out of touch with reality of the USSR. Had they lived in their dream country of USSR then they'd spend 2 years conscription in army getting beat up and tortured by their army officials, in civilian life they'd been queuing for toilet paper and bread for 4 hours, and gone home without either product, and if they said a joke about that deficit then they'd be on their way to a gulag camp for being an enemy of the state after a snoop had picked up what they said.

  • @RedPhroggz you dumbass have no slightest clue about life in Soviet Union. Yes, after finishing school, boys were compulsively taken into army, SO WHAT? You have absolutely no idea about being soviet army. There was very strict discipline, don't confuse soviet army with Russian Federation army. It's the RF army where you can be victim of these concripts bullies who can do whatever they want to you with impunity. Also before Gorbachev, life in USSR was complete paradise.Read next

  • @RedPhroggz where else you could get FREE appartments, FREE medical care, have no problems with employment, having enough salary to live more than 2 months, buy most natural and cheapest products? This "queuing" started since Gorbachov's "perestroika", where he totally fucked up USSR infrastructure. After that all hell broke loose: Civil wars, private property, human exploitation, high prices, bandrupted companies, huge increase of crime rate, first time AIDS, this queueing for food.

  • @RedPhroggz as i said, before Gorbachov, everything was stable. There was no poor, people didn't have to worry about tomorrow. About GuLags: GuLags were just ordinary prison camps, people were sent into GuLags for crimes and convicted were criminals: Nazis themselfs, anti-soviet conspirators, traitors, murderers, rapists, robberers, banderas etc. And conditions in guLags were normal. My grandfather was convicted for 10 year for murdering. He and other convicted lived there fine.

  • @Brainthrasher Soviet fanboy has indeed trashed his brain. Abuse in the army was already a major problem in the USSR but only could be talked about openly after Gorbachev took power. Soviet agriculture was so poor that the USSR had to keep importing from USA and other western countries. The Soviet command economy was inefficient and wasteful bar none. The whole system was set to implode one way or another because of fundamental flaws, not because Gorbachev's actions.

  • @RedPhroggz if you call training to fight in harsh conditions "abuse", then you have absolutely no idea what's about being in army. Of course there was some violence, there were these bullies, but after all, army isn't kindergarden - it's a real challenge. They raise fearless men, ready to die for their Motherland. Harder during training - easier in a real battle. Simple as that. That's because soviet soldiers were the most hardcore and fearless making their enemies shit themselfs.

  • @RedPhroggz it's just you, western pussies who think that army is fun. Of course for guys like you, Soviet army is a nightmare. Because unlike in USA army, chief elements of winning battle is fearlessness, not advanced weaponary. About agriculture, maybe soviets lacked modern technology for more efficient mining. But USSR still managed to get the 1st place in the world in wheat, rye, sugar beet, barley production. Soviet economy was quite stable, until USSR participated in Cold War

  • @RedPhroggz . Mantaining stable economy in USSR was very difficult because of: 1.USSR cared about its people - USSR gave to every single soviet citizent - FREE appartment, FREE medical servince, employment, enough salary, CHEAPEST in the whole world and natural products. Unlike in West, GOVERMENT paid for schools, hospitals, universities(WHICH WERE FREE), libraries, children's home. USSR had one of the highest living standarts.

  • @RedPhroggz 2.because of USSR participated in Cold War. Where USSR wanted to win a race against USA in military, science and influence on poorer countries. Although, USSR had a reason to spend much on military, because USA would use every chance to invade USSR if USA would feel that its stronger in military. 3. USSR was very focused on helping its ally countries. Anyway here's the main reason of USSR collapse - Gorbachev, why? Read next message.

  • @RedPhroggz Gorbachov gave a fuck about his country. He just spitted on domestic policy. All he was doing is travelling to USA, drinking and having fun. Second, just look at these changes after Gorbachov became secretary - Chernobyl disaster, private sector(because of it, people lacked money on education, medical service, food), mass unemployment(USSR had no unemployment at all before Gorbachov), civil wars(thousants of deaths).

  • @RedPhroggz Gorbachov destroyed Iron Curtain which seriously affected on public order(which created chaos in the streets, fights for freedom, violence) and AIDS(USSR have never AIDS before gorbachov), public health hugely decreased. Also thanks to him, Soviet factoriest suffered bankruption(which is first time in USSR economy) which fucked up production, therefore economy got fucked up really badly.

  • @RedPhroggz all Gorbachov brought is death, hunger, plague and hopelessness

  • @Brainthrasher Just because you're clueless doesn't make Gorbachev the reason the Soviet Union failed. The USSR lacked way behind the West in living standards, and even behind many of its Eastern Bloc allies. Soviet economy was based on extensive growth, not on improving productivity unlike Western countries. The USSR spent many times the resources that the West did to produce similar output. And in most cases with way inferior quality. And massive environmental destruction.

  • @RedPhroggz first of all. YOU are the fucking dumbass. As I said, you don't even slightest clue about USSR, yet you're correcting me. My was born in Russia, ALL my relatives lived in Soviet Union. My parents lived in USSR. They and other millions are the witnesses of changes during "perestroika". For them and other million of soviet citizents, life during perestroika was a nightmare. They told me everything. Before perestroika life in USSR was like in paradise.

  • @RedPhroggz everything you said to me befoire, say to to those who lived in USSR. You haven't even set a foot in there and you think you know the picture about living standarts in USSR? Living standarts in USSR were almost the highest in the whole world. Ask ANY ex-soviet citiizent(who's at least 50 years old), and he'll tell you that there wasn't any single poor in USSR, that USSR was the safest place, that people didn't have to worry about tomorrow.

  • @RedPhroggz Had Western world no poor people? Were appartments, medical service, and education in Western world free? Did Western world had no unemployment at all? And your telling me that USSR had lower living standarts? Lower living standarts my ass. Where's the proof? About economy, as I said, USSR spended too much on military improvement and science projects. Oh and this wasn't done in vain, because USSR was strongest in military and managed to first visit space.

  • @Brainthrasher Even Soviet economists had long been saying the country desperately needed economic reform. Gorbachev at least recognized the problems and took actions to improve the ailing economy unlike his ignorant predecessors that kept worsening the underlying problems.

And btw, pulling stuff out of your own ass (Iron Curtain, AIDS, fucked up production etc) and attributing all those as Gorbachev's fault doesn't really make your claims any more credible, fanboy.

  • @RedPhroggz also if you are telling that Gorbachov was initiator improving economy then you're on your way to the 1st grade. It was Yuri Andropov who gave the idea aout perestroika, if he wouldn't die, he would mde reform. Even 15 years before his death he mentioned that USSR need economical improvement. Gorbachov did nothing but ruining it. Also facts about Iron Curtain fall, AIDS are not pulled from my ass, nitwit. Read next

  • @RedPhroggz If you didn't know then AIDS in Soviet Union was detected in 1987, in 1988 30 citizents died from AIDS. And do you know why there was AIDS. Because of Iron Curtain fall, which was reliable political barrier between USSR and West.Created to prevent any western people set a foot in USSR in order to prevent brainwashing soviet citizents and infection.

  • @RedPhroggz Gorbachov allowed immigrants to visit USSR, which made Iron Curtain pointless barrier. Masses people from west visited USSR UNCHECKED. Therefore, someone spreaded infections. Also soviet citizents got brainwashed by western propaganda. By buying expensive western import goods, watching TV(channels showing western movies which were banned before perestroika), reading newspapers, believing into UFO and other bullshit. Simply, soviet citizents have lost all moral values.

  • @RedPhroggz Therefore, demonstrations and civil wars have started which fucked up domestic policy. Also compare salaries before perestroika and after and see the difference. Compare public health, crime rate, public order, economy condition, employment rate, prices before perestroika and after. Maybe this will explain something to you. Count how much soviet people died from hunger, suffered from civil wars, unemployment, then tell me how good was perestroika.

  • @Brainthrasher Your Gorbachev hatred is paranoid. Your blaming him for the failings of his predecessors. He got perestroika going as there was no other way for the failing country that the USSR was. The ideological bs the CPSU had spread since the inception of the USSR, which reached all levels of society, is exactly what got the USSR to that failure point. Agriculture to economy to fields of science were restricted and held back by absurd ideological limits set by the CPSU.
