Representative Steve Scalise of Louisiana was just on WLS radio, saying that it is the Federal Government that is standing in the way of local authorities down there, who are trying to protect the delicate marshlands from the oil. Representative Steve Scalise of Louisiana was just on WLS radio, saying that it is the Federal Government that is standing in the way of local authorities down there, who are trying to protect the delicate marshlands from the oil. They have the barges & boom ready to block the oil, but the Federal Government has been stalling, making local government seek for approval after approval from federal bureaucrats before these tools can be put to work.

Apparently, if they (the U.S. govt) will no allow the use of these 2000 skimmers to recover a significant quantity of this oil, then the only conclusion is, they don't want us to recover the oil, and they want an environmental disaster and crisis to continue unabated. Please tell me I'm wrong. I don't mind being wrong.

You guys, please stop making the mistake of thinking the leader of The Regime, High Chancellor Obama, is just incompetent or stupid. He's just ensuring that the crisis is bad enough that we can't "let it go to waste" (Rahm).
The lack of response isn't a "failure"... It's a way to push his radical agenda.

It is becoming increasingly apparent that Obama is incompetent. He's just not a leader. He can't get things done. His whole management style is "appoint a czar to handle it." He seems to think that's all it takes. Leadership is about more than giving orders and handing down edicts. This is what we get for electing a man with absolutely no executive experience whatever. We're reaping what we've sown.
