This video was rather...informative...and these commits were...insightful. Burundi needs unity first of all.It needs its own people to contribute to a peaceful restoration. It shuldnt matter where you are but you if you classify yourself an umurundi then where is your contribution? what are you doing to help your home? Religion and politics? Im personally christian but I feel as if everyone should practice what they truely believe as long as prosecution is not involved. I want my home to heal!
I have to say that The ENGLISH isn't his strongest, stick to Kirundi, and anyone who thinks thi guy will take our country far is blinded by the fake lifestyle he leads. I believe that god has chosen one person to save burundi and it is not him, tutsi or hutu, woman or man, someone will rule the country better them all, one day!
As long as we, hutus, have the power, the country will have peace and we will continue to develop our country. So we must NEVER give the power to tutsi. they hade their chance from 1962 to 2004 but what have they done to our country? absolutly nothing. Millions of people were killed in 1972 because of tutsi and what happenend in 1993 was also their fault. But they are welcome to live with us side by side but they have to understand that we are the majority and that majority MUST have the power!

There is always a place for hope. I lived in Burundi for 6 years when I was little and I think that unfortunatelly colonisation (particularly on the behalf of Belges) have exported the europeans own etnic conflicts into this african society, ones integrated into one and only peaceful social pyramid. No one knows how to solve this now... I sincerily hope Burundians will, someday. Every effort is hugely important.
wow...interesting. its sad that black ppl world wide go through such hardships but its our natural sense of pride and resilience (hope i spelled that right lol) that makes us strong ppl.
Yes...thats right I am a proud Jamaican woman. I've dated African men before, they can be arseholes (like all men) but one thing i cannot deny, they're beautiful.
@Xaymaicana i'm open minded to the woes of the world's people and that is so true, and such a graceful quality that nobody in the world can take away! :)
How can i stand and say im proud to be burundian when my country is lead by a fake ass soccer player??? now thers a new one from the bush who can barely speak french who wants to lead too,i mean c'mon! i wonder what will be burundi in 50years... THE SAME... PLEASE IS THERE ANY SMART BURUNDIAN OUT THERE WHO CAN LEAD AND CHANGE THINGS???
You are right to question the publicity stunts of politicians who crave attention in lieu of real development. We must also seek to put in leadership the Best, Smartest people we have. However we must be careful of the bias towards SMART meaning from the outside "...who can barely speak French..." I believe we have many smart, capable people who are shut out of the process because they don't have "western credentials". This bias is subtle but devastating as it looks down on grassroots action
@scaran3 playing soccer isn't an issue for I think exercise is good for health and not knowing french is inconsequential. However, I concur with you that there is lack of leadership and vision and this for the last 48 years
clap 3 times...s pin around and say the name of the person you want to be with? forever...post this on 7 pages and this saturday that person will suddely relize how much you mean to them... you dont do this... that person will think the oppiste and never want to see you again... it worked for mee! just tryy it
Of course there are always two sides of a coin...But the blindness to real issues for fanatism's sake is what keels us behind. Look, Burundi is not better from years ago, it is just different...Where have we seen a grenade thrown in a wedding ceremony and "that's ok"? Give me a break! It's ok to fail, it's ok to err...Look, we need to agree that there are a lot of shortcoming in Nkurunziza's approach to governance. Part of the shortcoming are due to his credentials.
wow its good to know the few ppl who are like u are out there to be pessimistic and negative towards an individual who has gone out of his way to help the ppl of burundi strive for a better future... i don't think any of the previous presidents could do anything else but fuck up the economy and kill innocent ppl and hide behind their sins.... good luck with ur negative attitude hater!
Faburundi don`t try to be rude coz you know nothing but do believe me all Burundians are Optimistics and always think positively the problem here is that promises from Gov. are not fullfiled that`sw why misery still in Burundian hearts, and let me tell you something we people must critisize for the truth for development not for distruction and chaos.
listen bekere u may say that i know nothing but the thing is that i do agree... promises are not being made. but on the other hand you must not forget the promises that have been kept! Of course presidents in Africa are jealous because thats how african politics are. but burundi is the leading example for peacemaking and peacebuilding! Most burundians are optimistic but how do u expect optimism in one of the 5 poorest countries...then u wonder why the pres. can't alwayz keep his promises
Thank u man, and I think you are in my point even there is no deferent understanding among us except a litle, you where is it? I havew never seen promises in Burundi to be kept, but I do agree with you for the Peacemaking and building, so we as burundians are still waiting for internal tranquility.
Hey Dongola you are right but every human being must believe that politic is full oy lies, you know why? I have good expamle, few moths ago this presindent made vow that he will never get rid of his consella Husein R. but from his envy he put him in jail and try to wash his her infront of those poor Burundians which most of them are not educated as it is been reported that Burundi has 20 percent educated in its population, our leaders are not able to develop our countries coz they are Envious.
We should applaud all efforts for peace and stability in the nations of Africa. The former president is very right to point out that the eradiction of poverty should be the main concern of the new government. On the other hand all people should be concerned about the mixing of religion and politics. A president advocating his/her religion and using it as a platform and validation for his/her administration can only lead to repression of differing points of view and a breakdown of free speech.
i agree poverty is one of the main obstacles...but i don't agree with u acting like an american by saying we shouldn't combine religion and politics....it is a nation of mostly catholics....the ppl have been fighting and killing each other while forgetting their faith...so sorry but that wuz kinda dumb to say that cuz we as barundi need God in our lives to continue bringing peace and stability in our nation!
Let us not forget that not so long ago people came to Africa crying "For God and King" and they wrecked havoc on the continent and forever changed our destiny. It never fails to amaze me that so many people in Africa still seek to solve the problems brought by those foreigners using the same things that caused the problems in the first place! We worship the God they brought us, we govern ourselves using the same systems that they used to destroy us and we even call ourselves by their names!
it took a long time but i think africa may be coming out of its dark ages but it will take a couple more years like for example darfur and Somalia also Zimbabwe
Well the documentary is great...But Nkurunziza leads a gang of currupted people...starting by himself...Think about the presidential plane he sold? Oil from Nigeria? The parlement, ... He has talent for soccer and that what he does best, NOT THE STATE HOUSE
its ok because there are of course many ppl like u who believe corruption should be the reason for everything but u don't seem to realize how bad the country was corrupt in the past
Of course there are always two sides of a coin...But the blindness to real issues for fanatism's sake is what keels us behind. Look, Burundi is not better from years ago, it is just different...Where have we seen a grenade thrown in a wedding ceremony and "that's ok"? Give me a break! All we need is the rule of law and just society.
