No, Mewtwo and Mew weren't lowered at all. Gamefreak changed the rules - they made it so only 510 EVs of a Pokemon's full power can be used instead of the 1000+ of 1st and 2nd gen. In 3rd gen up to now it doesn't allow Pokemon with maxed stats. If they did Arceus would be near impossible to defeat lolz
Arceus is even held back to make it fair against other Pokemon, there's a reason only level 100 Arceus have been released - you cannot make 255 EVs in any stat for Arceus this way hehehee!
Question about these wings, if you have enough of them.. would it make EV training not needed? And is it recommended to ignore Proteins and such when using the wings? I remember finding these wings yet not using them, assuming they were like nuggets or something
@goldieX39 Yep, they will eliminate the need of them. Although each wing only raises an EV by 1...so we're talking hundreds of them being required. Best to stock up on conventional vitamins that raise them by 10 too.
You can still use vitamins to speed up the process, they don't do anything out of the ordinary.

deoxys does have better stats (highest stats possible depending on its form) however its forms do have major weaknesses...so it would depend on the circumstances

@23045678 There is no difference!A pokemon can grow up and become a lot tougher.For example I have got a Lugia in SoulSilver with a bad special attack.So I use it against pokemon with high Special Attack and Lugia's special attack hae actually changed and became better.It doesn't depend in Base Stats.

@23045678 Kyogre is better than Arceus for me:xD.I got one with good Special stats.And I also got a Groudon about level 85 and it already has 300 defense:).I like Groudon more than Kyogre but they are both great pokemon and no doubt that Kyogre is the best hoenn water and Groudon the best hoenn ground.Although I like Rayquaza more because of it's powerful attacks and it has a great appearance and is actually the best Hoenn for me.

@FlameGyu try cool rom.com i found them to be the best, but serch whereever you like, this way you can have up to 10 save files, easly input cheats, and have the game on a bigger screen, and even fasforward the game to make it go faster. but thier are some things you made need help with (eg the emulator you will want is called visualboyadvance,) but it is a compressed or zipped file, so you will have to unzip it, which you need softwere for, thier's some free softwere for that called 7 zip

@goldieX39 Still if you look at the original stats from red version of Mew and Mewtwo to now they lowered by 100 on each to make Arceus stronger, same with the other Pokemon that re supposed to be better. But I agree, poor move sets.

No, Mewtwo and Mew weren't lowered at all. Gamefreak changed the rules - they made it so only 510 EVs of a Pokemon's full power can be used instead of the 1000+ of 1st and 2nd gen. In 3rd gen up to now it doesn't allow Pokemon with maxed stats. If they did Arceus would be near impossible to defeat lolz
Arceus is even held back to make it fair against other Pokemon, there's a reason only level 100 Arceus have been released - you cannot make 255 EVs in any stat for Arceus this way hehehee!

Question about these wings, if you have enough of them.. would it make EV training not needed? And is it recommended to ignore Proteins and such when using the wings? I remember finding these wings yet not using them, assuming they were like nuggets or something

@goldieX39 Yep, they will eliminate the need of them. Although each wing only raises an EV by 1...so we're talking hundreds of them being required. Best to stock up on conventional vitamins that raise them by 10 too.
You can still use vitamins to speed up the process, they don't do anything out of the ordinary.

@goldieX39 Jesus Christ Play the very first versions then catch Mew in the new Versions the status of all the pokemon in the old versions where lowered (except the few I didn't get in the original versions, other then that they all where) Arceus is nothing compaired to the first Mew, A dragonite had higher base then arceus, Game freak lowered it to make the game better because a non legend having 300+ stats was unnormal to the legends with barely 400+ stats. 403 HP, 298 Atk, 298 Def, 298 Special, 298 Speed
Arceus can casually surpass all of that even with the limits of EVs:
406 HP, 301 everything else - or with the right nature bring one of the stats to 331

@goldieX39 Arceus is the best, I beat my friends Arceus with a fucking Ratticate from Red version. Ratticates original status was 300 plus on all except sp. attack. Arceus not so much. I beat Arcus with Lucario in one hit with Focus blast. Seriously Arceus isn't top shit Untouchable (The worlds best Pokemon player so far on Wi-fi and other things) Said Arceus is his/her weakest Pokemon, His/her Machamp is stronger then it.

The only games he was difficult to defeat was in Red/Blue/Yellow - and this is because Psychic types didn't have to run away at the sight of powerful Bug-type, Dark-type or Steel-type Pokemon - since such Pokemon did not exist in that generation. Psychic types were spoiled little babies in 1st gen, they've been losing their power with each generation. These days it's easy to take out a Mewtwo if you're not an idiot lolz
For example Sucker Punch makes Mewtwo look like a Joke often hehehee!

@CheyenneDaMan You also have to remember that the average Attack mode Deoxys has a defense rating of about 70 at the highest, and that's if you go through hardcore EV training, so almost any of Mewtwo's attacks could have ended Deoxys

@23045678 Base stats show nothing.You never get a pokemon at base stats.You don't have to check out base stats or maximum stats.It depends on how you trained the pokemon.Base stats or maximum stats proove nothing.They just show the weakest and strongest form of a pokemon.It doens't mean it is going to be like that.A well-trained Mewtwo with great stats won't lose to anyone.And Deoxys has crappy defenses.Also I got Deoxys with 493 attack and can't defeat someone with one hit not even Mewtwo.

@FlameGyu because it depens on ev's iv's and nature, but base stats are still the most important factor, as it is still that bigger diffrence as level goes up, kyogre an grouon are better than mewtwo even (though that's not saying much as untill gen 4 came an brought in arceus, kyogre was the strongest due to a couple of resons) it even says on smogon univercety that one of mewtwo's biggest fears is on atack form deoxsys

@23045678 There is no difference!A pokemon can grow up and become a lot tougher.For example I have got a Lugia in SoulSilver with a bad special attack.So I use it against pokemon with high Special Attack and Lugia's special attack hae actually changed and became better.It doesn't depend in Base Stats.

@23045678 Still Lugia's stats have been improved.Only attack hasn't that much and I don't even care about it since it knows Shadow Ball,Aeroblast,Recover and Hydro Pump.All these moves are special in HG/SS that is why I am trying to make Lugia's special attack better.Base stats does have a role ok I agree but the most important thing isn't base stats or maximum stats it is nature,training and breeding.

@23045678 Maximum stats show the limit of a pokemon exactly.But a pokemon will never get so high stats not even if it can I don't think there is someone who can get a Deoxys with 504 attack which is his maximum or Mewtwo with 447 special attack.Deoxys will get a 400++ attack/special attack and Mewtwo not more than 420.There are a few people with Mewtwos which got 410-420 special attack.And a few with Deoxys which has 460.Everything depends on training and breeding nothing else.

@FlameGyu i liked heartgold and soulsilver, platnuim was also ok, but i realy disliked pearl and diamond, black and white were amazing the frist time round but on playing it a secound time it sudenly lost all it's charm, and sceptile was my fave 3rd gen starter, and arceus was more imagenetive than panyta in desighn, but it still was not realy imagenetive, the only probelm i had with the 3rd gen was that kyogre was overpowered

@FlameGyu i just disliked how to this day kyogre is unblanced, he's to powerful, as is arceus, although i actualy like kyogre but not so keen on arceus, the problem is that kyogre can just one shot everything with hydro pump or water spout, unless his iv's are abnormaly low, like one of mine's was, but another was fine.

@23045678 Kyogre is better than Arceus for me:xD.I got one with good Special stats.And I also got a Groudon about level 85 and it already has 300 defense:).I like Groudon more than Kyogre but they are both great pokemon and no doubt that Kyogre is the best hoenn water and Groudon the best hoenn ground.Although I like Rayquaza more because of it's powerful attacks and it has a great appearance and is actually the best Hoenn for me.

@FlameGyu oh, well ill add you as a frend allways good to meet a fellow pokemon fan xD if you like hear's a tip, ever heard of emulatores? well thier a system that allows you to play games from other systems on a computer, thier iliegal IF you don't own the game AND the game is still being sold, if you do own it OR it is no longer being sold then it is perfectly legal. so no worries, you can get gb, gb couler, and gb advanced emluators and roms (the games) on many websites

@FlameGyu try cool rom.com i found them to be the best, but serch whereever you like, this way you can have up to 10 save files, easly input cheats, and have the game on a bigger screen, and even fasforward the game to make it go faster. but thier are some things you made need help with (eg the emulator you will want is called visualboyadvance,) but it is a compressed or zipped file, so you will have to unzip it, which you need softwere for, thier's some free softwere for that called 7 zip
