The Bible are back and performing their 25th Anniversary Concert at the Clapham Grand, London on Friday 30th September 2011. Get your tickets from agmp.co.uk, ticketweb or see tickets
The music of today basura talaga. The 80s had great music. The present generation raised in hip hop shit will never understand but I know what music I was raised in. By the way I am an 80s boy.
I'm just uploading the Graceland video from the chart show and Mahalia from the Tube as i write this. Not got all of the Graceland video though. You remember what the chart show was like for cutting videos at either end.
Became my favourite song of all time as a kid. Still is. Just doesn't date. Are there any videos any where? It just annoys me they're still underrated, even on youtube!
the greatest compliment you can give this mini-masterpiece, is that it doesn't sound like an 80's tune - it would still sound contemporary if it was released tomorrow
cool version. i'm still listening to my original tape bought back in 86..its lasted longer than my Sony Walkman.... recommend his album with Darden Smith - Evidence
I posted this elsewhere on other Bible stuff - hope you get the gig
If you miss his work - check out his collaboration stuff with Eddie Reader- its the best stuff she's ever done - fuck Fairground Attraction - that was pish - her Robert Burns cover stuff is gorgeous and stirring to anyone with a bit of the true blood cursing through their aul' bones (thanks eddie)
Hello, if you like them, then check out a band called "Danny Wilson", they did some lovely stuff. Their lead singer released a tune some years ago called "Freefloating", you would like it!
i have loved the bible since the 80s and im a fan of Boo. Its a pity there isnt anything else on you tube relating to thema s they defo need heard as they are very good musicians.
i bought walking the ghost ages ago, i thought it was a goth band, and man i was surprised and happy in equal meassure, this band kicks ass, found eurika too in a charity shop on tape, mint band, thanks for putting this up:)
This remixed version (found on the mini compilation "Random Acts of Kindness" is far more indicative of their maturing sound found on "Eureka" and "Dodo". A bunch of stuff has been rereleased on Boo Hewerdine's Haven label.
My favorite 5 Bible Tracks:
Crystal Palace, Graceland, She's My Bible, Auctioneers, Eureka
Truly a crime this wasn't more widely heard back in the day. Then again, in a selfish kind of way, it's nice to have the Bible's music as a kind of secret friend.
One of my all time favorite artists, their bittersweet music really has a hard time finding an equal.
Maraming salamat sa posting. Naaalala ko tuloy ang WXB102 at BM105 at NU107 noong 1988. Lagi kong kinakanta noon itong kantang to graceland. Memories.Railwaychildren,Big dish,Frendsagain,PeterMurphy,Wildswans,etc.....
Just bought Random Acts of Kindness on amazon just for this song, the extended version. Loved it nineteen years ago then lost my tape and hadn't heard it for over ten years. This was their best song then Skywriting and Honey Be Good imo. Boo still going strong.
super song, excellent band with some top tunes, hooks and melodies galore. a forgotten great from the 80s. try and get some of their music, you'll be glad you did!

Correct Abert and Costello, names are a terrible burden to bear lol.
