Actually, McGyver did use guns in some of his contraptions; thanks goes to HaZaRdAtIoN for pointing one such instance out in the first episode. He also use one to bridge a tripwire that Murdoc used to try and kill Mac. He just preferred to use his brain rather than guns for getting the bad guy.

Actually, MacGyver did USE a gun in the first episode if I remember correctly, Ak-47 I think...but he didn't use it for killing. Rescue operation on the mountains episode.

This is excellent, how long did it take you to make, my stargate/friends one took me about 15 to 20 hrs all up.

Im not sure what my total time was as I did small bits and pieces of it over a month.

First thing I did was write down all the things MacGyver does in the original MacGyver intro and then flicked through each sg1 episode looking for clips that I could use and saving them to individual files.

Then I started working on the space MacGyver font and animation in 3dstudio

Finally I started piecing bits together in Adobe premiere and trying to match up sg1 segments I had to the beat and changes in the music.

At the end i kinda rushed it a bit, there's a few bits i think i could have done better but thats always going to be the case.

Actually, I stand corrected. Don S. Davis (General Hammond on SG1) was apparently Dana Elcar's (Peter Thornton on Macgyver) stunt double on Macgyver. Making it even worse to exclude him from this, when Thornton had a credit in the opening of Macgyver.

I used a stargate GDO as the first opening scene because a GDO is like a passport in the stargate world and the first shot of the macgyver intro was macgyver handing over a passport.
