As much as they goofed on Tom, I think Tom was always doing his job and putting forward his best work... and I'm sure Howard appreciated him. Sure he's a square, but squares keep things running well.
I watched the show that was broadcast on 9/11/2001 (which was extremely compelling). Tom was on with Howard throughout the show, and the two really seemed to have a good relationship-- good enough to keep a great show running. Even with his own intuition, Howard looked to Tom for advice and some guidance about the broadcasting of his show, and Tom always had a good answer.
I also think Tom looked pretty good. Had that patient but overworked general manager look about him, haha.
Well, of course you wouldn't understand. You've probably never formulated an opinion, for yourself, your entire life. Sheeple, such as yourself, are one of the biggest problems of our society, IMHO.
There you go!!! Good for you. Now, doesn't that feel liberating? At least for now, you are not just another mindless, follow the leader, dolt. Keep up the good work! ( I can take it.)
@hernje ha dolt! this has got to be hackies other screenname. no one cares. thats why the ratings didnt drop, thats why there is no vegas shows. no one cares ...except hernje/jackie
my favorite Tom moment was back after 911 New York had a black out and Howard and the gang where making fun of Tom for running up and down the steps getting people sandwiches....ahahahah Howard always said Tom stared at the wall ahahahaha
Terrestial radio has been ruined by the greedy corporate owners and management personnel, such as Tom Cheapasano. Most stations were "cash cows", at one time, but they weren't satisfied , until there were more commercials than actual content. Needless to say, the listener tuned out and terrestial radio is now dieing a slow deserved death. Long live Sirius/XM satelite radio!
i was a long time fan of the radio station here in L.A that had stern on, even before he came on, and listen to the FM talk format religiously he pioneered all the way till the end. it's sick to lose sutch great radio over corporate greed. enjoy the new automated radio everyone the golden age of radio is truely behind us now
This Era of the Stern show was BY FAR the best! Before Jackie left, the days of Steve Grillo, when Gilbert used to come on on do his Seinfeld and Dracula bit and have the whole studio crying with laughter... Artie on his own is funny, but he's no Jackie. I can't tell you how many times I'd almost crash my car on the freeway because I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes LOL I'm just glad Live 105.3 in San Francisco brought it to the Bay Area many years ago. -Dave
@borntorun1970 God get off Jackie's dick, Jackie really isn't very funny its his life that's funny. The reason the show was better was because Howard still was Howard and hadn't gone all Hampton's yet... F Jackie
@borntorun1970 Agreed. But even better was with Billie and the OJ case was some of the material for the shows. Billie's impressions and Gilbert, goofing on Jackie and the jetty, his houses, Nancy was also a great source of laughs. The best era of the show.
My original comment was, Howard used to comment on how good looking Tom, was, I mean, no homo, but Tom is not a handsome man, I look as good as he does and I'm not no model or breathtaking. Tom is stupid at least I have intelligence.
Wow, this makes me actually miss certain aspects of the old show on testicle radio. Howard's systematic ability to undermine and humiliate poor Tom. He really likes Tom but unfortunately Tom became just as much a target as any of the other characters on air. They had some awesome on air fights... Ahh memories.

Never bought into Stern's claim he was half Italian, half Jewish; but, I do buy the idea Cheapasano is half Italian, half Jewish.

@hernje Your stupidity continues. The 1/2 Italian 1/2 Jewish radio bit was a JOKE not a claim you uneducated moron.
