I agree, it's amazing for a ranger to be able to use a greatsword. I actually never knew that, omg, YES, I love using swords but I love rangers now I can have both!!
The camouflage ability actually is NOT like the one given to hunters in Cata exactly, since the one in WoW is a buff that stays on you, makes you untargetable for ranged attacks while moving, and stealthed when not moving.
Where as the version in GW2 ONLY gives the stealth if you dont move, but once you do move it is gone untill you can use it again. the ability that is actually exactly like this in WoW is the night elf racial Shadowmeld.

@XollFury Oh yeah, I just can't wait. I'm so quitting wow when this comes out..Only reason I went to WoW was because GW1 was getting a bit too repetitive, but I loved the game so much! Especially the pvp in gw, it was amazing! I think gw2's pvp will be a lot better tho

i've never played GW1 but i have played many mmos in the day including WoW, but GW2 looks very awesome, but i got few questions and u seem to know alot about the game.
1) What does leveling do ? does it unlock new skills and increase stats like traditional MMOs or does GW2 have different things going on.
2) After u get Max level, what is left to do ? also can u duel other players ?

Leveling in GW2 is very traditional. You get more base health, some attribute points, access to new utility skill slots, and generally just growing in power.
After max level, there will be an equivalent of raiding, and competitive pvp! Though they've not released much info about it at this point! My guess as to why would be because they're still working on it!
Im just curious to what 'attribute points' are. R they like talent points in WoW ? also lets say i play a warrior and use a greatsword... will i automatically have all the greatsword abilities for the warrior or are they unlocked as i level.
Reason im asking these questions is becuz i love PvP, but i also enjoy grinding to max level for the sole purpose of being 'ready' for PvP, but GW2 i've heard that u r alrdy max gear and level when doing comp PvP

My understanding is that weapon skills are not earned. You get them with the weapon! Utility skills are a little different though i think.
Well there is this thing called World vs world vs world, which is 3 servers pitted against each other in a week-long battle! And you can level from 1 - 80 just doing that! I'm not sure about the other.

I was also thinking of an Ranger with a greatsword, sounds very cool, kind of like the witcher or a barbarian; fast, stealthy, not too heavily armored, but very deadly. I will probably make mine Norn with wolf totem though.
@XollFury haha yes, but the choice kind of depends of the skills available, a one handed sword in the main hand and axe in the other would alternatively give an interesting skillbar! and for second set, im leaning towards longbow, get a couple of hard hits in before ending the battle with the sword.. =)

And on weapons, the best part is, you can mix-and-match weapons to get some very interesting combos! Sword/axe for the ranger would be awesome! Then you see something like Scepter/shield for the Guardian and you're like "wait, what?" but it works! And very well! I don't know, I'm just SO excited about this game! =)
Yeah, I just took a look at a few gameplay videos. I was completley wrong, pets are more like another "tool" for them. I don't mean that in bad way, like elementalists' attunements or a warrior's burst skill.
I do not like the lack of viscareal combat that all the other professions are getting. Just seems like the ranger wont "feel" good to play. The bow skills don't seem very flashy compared to many other professions.
This was much better than the other videos I was watching, the guy auctually knew how to dodge. :)
Yet, I couldn't help but to stare at that elementalist in the background hosing her opponents with a jet stream, or turning the entire field to flames.
